  1. This is a track that breaks more formulas and rules in melodic goa than anything we've previously created, as such I have no idea what kind of response this will recieve which is why I want to showcase it to the public as a promo track. The track is hyper melodic, done in pure morning style and verymodern. To me this is a different feeling and vibe of goa but the ending climax especially might make people raise some brows. Hehehe, really I should not worry so much what style to call it. It is melodic music, very layer intensive, and its our own So what do you think? Aerosis - Aercraft [promo].mp3 Feedback is not only much appreciate but vital for us! We need to know whether this style is successful or not! For those interested a beefy extract of another recent track with a more "open air goa party" style - Peyota Quota, which if all goes well will be on metapsychic's 2nd compilation album - can be found here: Aerosis - Peyota Quota [extract].mp3 Aerosis is Bobby "Synogen" Ognyanov and Jeremy "Tempestuous G/ Jagno Gaia" Green", both age 18 and located in the United States. Produced in FL Studio 6 with 100% soft synths. Support Neu Goa!
  2. @ Jon - You have to type in the 3 letter code towards the top right of the screen to proceed to the download, which'll apear after a 45 second timer, or if nothing is loading right try it in firefox or some other browser @ The dissing of Aerosis (?) Really there hasn't been that much going on with that, only a few occasions, the biggest being a few pages back in this thread but one of the main people [actually..both of them] trashing us before due to a disagreeable sample now are very happy to be receiving one of our tracks for metaphsycics next compilation. Nah most people recieve us warmly, more warmly than I really anticipated since there has been very little released music so far. And those who bash are excused, I don't take anything personally and I know they are more or less like me - simply the true oldschool lovers, its not easy to take them away from their classics and if they see a new artist show up, if they don't make acid melodies that can make your cry with joy then they are a disgrace to the genre - its actually these people I pay alot more attention to As for dissing, feel free - firstly understand before you diss that there is very little released work from us and we have about 30-40 sketched out tracks [the things on myspace are all sketches, mostly things Jeremy has started since he's the one managing the myspace(I have no time/interest for it) we have a nice handful or so in production right now (meaning they are nearly completed), as well as a few looking for compilation releases. We'll post some extracts soon and what we'd like to do soon is get a bit of a promo / EP type release to demo our style to the public. As for the tracks on myspace - occasionally jeremy likes to throw a few sketches and expiraments on there, whatever has been made recently, more complete works or work in progress tracks we usually circulate around in the goa circles/producers around the net - incidentally thats all we were doing until we get a good enough response. With contorsion people said we should send that to labels, that suntrip in particular would really dig the track - lo and behold the first demo we send Anoebis was really happy, and naturally so were we which is when we made Aerosis an official project. I want it to be clear that I don't pretend to say aerosis is a great act or anything like that right now, we're 18 years old and really this is simply the start. We're very happy with what's happening for us as well as the tunes we're coming up with, ofcourse as soon as its all ready you'll be sure to start seeing alot more Aerosis out on the surface. Tommorro I'll post an extract of a track we have selected for our promo.. @ Jon feel free to get in contact with us through IM if you'd like, I have no problem showing you Cape Quetzal so long as its understood it isn't a finished track. Same goes with anyone else, feel free to hit us up and share some thoughts about goa trance I've had quite a few people say there is a Dimension 5 vibe comming from the flavor and melodies that I in particular produce (Jeremy is bettter with deep emotional melodies, where as I tend to weave in the more intelligent spacy/deep feelings)...Cape Quetzal for example has little in common with Dimension 5, its a morning style goa track with a deep exotic "party at the beach" type feeling to it - if anything the more direct inspiration for this track I will credit to Khetzal's work - some amazing inspiration and feelings in that music. No I think what you are instead picking up on is how the music offers feelings. Given that music and melody is a form of metaphorical communication [in my eyes], what you are hearing/expiriencing is certain feelings and moods that melody can weave. Dimension 5 is very adept at this in their own style - all melodic music when done right is separated from trance or techno due to its drifting travelling melodies. I think this is the common vibe you're keying in on. Now that I mentioned that, the way we work...the reason we do "sketches" is usually we have some sort of pent up inspiration (particularly after having a good day, you can't force yourself to produce you need some sort of backing motiff) and we spend a few hours to assemble a ~2 minute foundation [conversely a full track takes on average 30-40 hours to complete - believe it or not this is not uncommon], after which we listen to it and try to center on the feeling the music produces, from there if we like it and if we think its fresh enough and has potential to expand we then develop it into a full track with the proper rules, formatting etc so that it can be played at for example a party and mix in with any other track - but at the core the music began as simply a feeling. Anyone who strums a guitar at the end of the day before they go to sleep or plays with notes and melodies like this as an introspective process should have an idea of what I mean, and when we have a promo assembled with a nice selection of tracks it should be easy to hear what this creative process results in - its already something I can distinguish from other tracks - and yet hear echoes of it in other highly inspired work like many of the classics people refer to as well as alot of new artists, the majority of which are in the new goa circles [Mindsphere is going to have a very very big future, props! I love what I've heard] So, the best thing really is, forget about us for a while, when all is ready Aerosis will find its way to your ears, a smile is all we want to achieve! So far every track we're producing seems to top the previous one - a chain thats been growing for me since my first track some 2-3 years ago [same with Jeremy, we grow together] really...I'm quite confident for the future Something that really is making me happy is that I've noticed each person who's gotten a good taste of aerosis seems to have a different favorite track. If music is metaphor, being able to communicate that feeling to you shows me the track is a success. - Bobby [synogen]
  3. I've given this much thought lately and after many restless nights i've come to the conclusion that: Harmonic Convergence is the coolest track name Harmonic Convergence is another word to describe Terrence Mckenna's concept of Novelty, a cosmological theory beyond physics, beyond the 3rd dimension, relating to the tenancy of the universe to complicate with time; harmonic convergence. This term was used in a lecture by terrence called Invisible Worlds, done in 1985 - as heard by members of Dimension 5 who eventually some 10 years later would create a track by such a title - which eventually would be heard by myself, of whom would post a topic 12 years later anouncing it as the best track title evargh. Literature: http://www.indigosun.com/april98/harmony.htm http://www.2012.com.au/harmonic_convergence.html http://www.google.com/search?q=harmonic+co...lient=firefox-a Time is a trip What other track titles do you think are the most clever/cool/zanny of all evargh?
  4. Maybe I could explain? I have noticed a subtlety along those lines. If you listen to contorsion thematically, for the first 5 minutes it undergoes constant change building up seamlessly and dramatically, the second half of the song slows down (yet still has its own climax and action taking place) - this is a formula put together for the dancefloor - if the track kept kicking hard people would burn out - or they would think its repetitive (reptetitiveness is something we put a major effort to get rid of) - furthermore the 2nd half attempts a more mainstream groove that eventually builds down the energy and fades to a more peaceful rythm - which makes this perfect as a track to end a set, or even transition to darkpsy. Something Aerosis is trying to do with our music is make it friendly for other styles. Goa parties need not be 100% only goa - I'm all for hearing a DJ set travel as much as the melodies do I personally don't think the track is flawed, all the effects intended are there - the "missing feeling" is a 2nd all-powerful climax taking place around 5-7 minutes which is a typical formula for every track you are used to - the intended effect here was different IMO the track is perfect for ending a set - both through climax and build down. That said I'm glad for whatever splash this track has created as this was the very first track myself and Jeremy created when we started collaborating. Look for our next release with Metapsychic Records, and eventually a free Aerosis EP to show everyone what style to expect from us.
  5. We've had alot of mixed feedback on spacious endeavors, either peopel get it or don't feel it at all. Some people didn't like it for straying too far from goa formula....others like yourself told us it blew them away! [which is what I think too!] I personally like this one very much, yes we have the intention of green lighting it to our promo, its some wonderful spacy emotional goa. But now as I promised I have an extract for you guys! Please bear in mind this is still work in progress and has the potential to become even more powerful. Aerosis - Peyota Quota http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YGIOCYQ6 I do believe Peyota Quota will top Contorsion.. ^^ This track will very likely see sunlight in metapsychic record's upcoming 2nd compilation, we've already seen some very impressive artists and tracks that metapsychic is comming up with. Three cheers for all the hard work Vassilis/Cosmogenisis is doing, from here on I'll let only him talk about and hype the compilation. Feedback on this 4 minute extract is much appreciated, the general gist is in place but much is still yet to be done or adjusted, based ofcourse on the wonderful feedback you psynewsers always provide
  6. Its not the size of the program that matters, but how you use it I'm staying with FL, I compose so much faster in that program than cubase, albeit cubase offers higher quality FX.
  7. Vassilis gave me the word a few days ago We'd love to release a few tracks with you guys I heard what mindsphere has in store for this one, amazing work! You guys should get in contact with some of the other newschoolian amateurs, theres alot of tallent out there. Man where the hell is NUXX!!
  8. I got this one a little late (I was in Bulgaria for 3 weeks). There is some amazing music on here! Great job Filipe, Cosmogenisis and Octodur. Astrancer and Mindsphere particular caught my attention, Dzog Chen is a new favorite of mine. Keep it up and lets hope to see more releases like this! Mindsphere's track is one of the most inovative I've heard in a while.
  9. 48 kbps mono...trust me, highquality and stereo can make or break some of these tracks from what I have heard the production these artists are creating are very modern...in league with anything being released right now. This is exactly what suntrip is for Concerning Aerosis - contorsion was a grand expirament on our behalf, unique blend of dark goa and psychedelia is exactly how I'd defind it. However it'll be a while yet before more Aerosis material is released - myself and Jeremy are working on loads of sketches and expiraments, we're happily exploring new directions in goa and searching to express feelings that haven't been expressed before, both dark and happy. I'm really excited about a particular theme we've found, which may yet develop into the Aerosis style. All I can say to all the goa fans out here is to keep your eyes open for the future, excluding this release with Suntrip, our exposure to the public has been extremely minimal. Thats relieving. Like I said, its a grand expirament, this track display alot of theme and theme changes. I'm happy for the good response a few people have given us and thank you Anoebis for believing in us. About Twist Dreams - my impression so far is that this release by suntrip is modern - where as Apsara is nostalgic. Progress is good Modern goa has differenciated itself enough to be called Newschool Goa rather than just "Goa" - lets hope this new direction takes off and we'll see what new genres will come out from this scene. (No, Newschool is not a genre! Its just the beginning!)
  10. Thanks everyone, as you can tell from the mix there is alot we have being worked on right now...I can tell you for sure maybe half those songs won't make it to the promo simply because we'll make something better or decide a track might not be good enough... Jeremy is doing great right now, he's started lots of sketches, on the other hand its up to me to finish them ...his is how we work, one person or the other creates a sketch, then the other works on it until its done and gives it back to the other for polishing, we do a pretty good job of doing 50/50 on our music... Unfortunately I'm a little busy and lacking in time right now and its really me (synogen) holding some work back. About the promo - we have alot to expirament with and alot we want to try, it may be quite abit of time before anything is ready, maybe mid 2007 is a good estimate to set. Until then we'll hope to release a tidbit or two on a VA, or some full tracks to you guys.
  11. PROMOTIONAL PREVIEW DEMO MIX 2006 - 20 minutes long! Alternate availible at Beatbiz, but due to size restrictions it had to be cropped to 13 minutes. All tracks are work in progess and are from our promo album Please check it out to see whats instore! Filipe please check it out too, to decide whether we are jacking your shit or not again! cheers mate
  12. It promotes music, usually unsigned unreleased musicians, through the internet releasing V/A or albums online. Its a new idea I suppose? Seems to be picking up in popularity due to the massive load of "amateur" artists and not enough labels brave enough or willing to release them.
  13. Hello everyone, just an update on progres.. It is very likely that Aerosis will apear on Suntrip Record's next compilation. Its not this track but something else that we unfortunately cannot show, I'll see if an extract will be possible. We have a whole slew of music in the works, we will be back soon to surprise you all. Thank you for the good comments Anoebis, we are very happy of the limited feedback Aerosis has recieved, we're motivated to complete a promo album. For now, enjoy this preview: Aerosis - Anasazi (preview) - Bobby and Jeremy of the Aerosis project
  14. Aerosis is Bobby Ognyanov (Synogen) and Jeremy Green (Tempestuous G) from the US. We started a project to combine our tallents to create a newschool goa sound and to try to bring innovative sounds to the table. Aerosis formed earlier this summer and debuts with this track today. Listen to our track Take a Suntrip and tell us what you think. Soundclick.com or AcidPlanet
