  2. Try to descripe your idea on paper, maybe use a mindmap. Also helpfull if you are working with a track over a longer period. Do something else than composing for example program sounds. Open old halfdone tracks and see if they get your creative juices going. Just play on your keyboard with no particular goal. Finish a track just for your own sake. No matter how short, simple or horrible sounding it is, finishing a track always helps. If everything else fails, well, roll a joffa and play dx-ball
  3. Hi guys Thanks for your comments... very good chritisism Till Eulenspiegel.. you hit all my weak points well it can only get better then... Im working and working on it... bom from nomis
  4. well.... i like to use the eq or even better a lp filter to cut the lows from the track im fading to (track a).... when both trax are running nicely i make smooth transitions only in the lows, changing from the lows in track b to the lows in track a. This can also be done in a break. It really clear things up in busy trax. Remember to align the two trax breaks. I think its more noticeable if you pitch correct pad sections of a track compared to rhytm. In other words if you need to notch in the mix do it on the track without pad sections if there are any. This actually applies to all long sounds. Respect the track! If a non rhytmic intro is an essential part of it dont beatmix, this also applies when you cant, for some reason, get a good mix. The listener will notice a bad mix more than a small break. Looping the first 4 bars if possible is sometimes cool, this way you can mix and then jump out of the loop when you like. Have good closed headphones with high gain, pa's are really loud compared to home mixing. my favourites are sennheiser hd25. Well cant think of more right now... Have fun

  11. Hi all, this is my first post on this forum, got a tip from psyforum about this great forum so here i am, nice being here... This is a long shot i know but at shiva moon (west germany) 2000 or maybe 1999 a track was played several times on both stages containing jim morrisons poem: "just close your eyes, forget your name, forget the world forget the people" The original doors track is called "celebration of the lizard" and as i said is was used in a psy track. I have never found this track though me and one of my mates have searched for it all theese years.. maybe it was never released, maybe one of you guys can help me, it would be much appreciated, thank you
