  1. Whoa! Good news indeed and one to look out for! @seraph: I wouldn't say Wizzy Noise is psychedelic, but that's just me
  2. I simply don't get it... I've listened to it a thousand times and still don't like it... Sounds pretty cheap to me... melodies seem like they're thrown in and overcooked, production is too "metallic", etc. All my oppinion of course. I love melody, I love Classical Mushroom, Talpa, SynSun... but not this... I must be broken.
  3. @djnemo: Well, I disagree with you, but hey oppinions differ and that's cool To answer your question, Talpa is one guy from Serbia... And it's true there's been a lot of talk about the Talpa/IM resemblance... but I think everyone should listen to the full album before making such harsh statements. Anyway... most of the tracks on this album were made in 2002 and a few in 2003... since then his style has changed considerably! But it will all be heard in time...
  4. Well I didn't really like the previous one... but this one is great! Been listening to it lots these past few days... especially the Bon track! The more you listen to it the better it gets... hooray for that. Also nice tunes by the SA team... and Scorb... and Rastaliens... man this compilation is good
  5. I wouldn't recommend either of them... New Talamasca might be better than Zodiac, but it still sounds pretty crap to me... And Miraculix is the disappointment of the year... I loved Detonator but on this one he just got it all wrong... even the production quality seem to be worse than on his previous album!!
  6. Not that I pay that much attention to technique... but out of the ones I've heard it would probably be Dino Psaras and Peter Didjital.
  7. A bit late, but I can't not say something about this freaktrance-soaked album... Throughout every year i yawn and yawn waiting for something worthy to get released... the occasional ray of light... but when something from Finland comes out, then I know there's no more time to fuck about! Led by Exogenic... but lately good Finnish music could also be found elsewhere... FreakDance is one of those places... Anyway... without any further bullshit... I'll just say that for me this album explains a few things others cannot... all in all... fucking good music! Been spreading this disease across Serbia all summer and will continue to do so!
  8. Well this is Shift's third album in the past... hm... 7 months or so. First one was his solo... Red Line... next the Twisted System album (Shift+Phyx+Rabdom L)... and now this one. Plus he can be found on loads of other compilations... the guy is definitely on fire and still manages to push some quality through all the quantity. But I must say this is probably his weakest release of the three... Slug puts in some good influences, but there are too many remixes of older Shift tracks and not so much variation... although overall it's an alright release, but nothing special. BUT what really stands out is the Artifakt track! Just can't seem to get it wrong lately...
  9. The second VV album was a huge disappointment for me... Those vocals seem to be the biggest criminal here (mind you I have no problem with vocals, just this specific sort). But there are other things that annoy... They've become more linear, less experimental... more new-age hip, less brooding... Again, all of these elements can sound good, but they don't on this album... as far as I'm concerned of course. But there are people who have gonne crazy over it... so I guess it's one of those albums that leans towards either of the two extremes.
  10. Um... back to topic... a pretty good album, not outstanding but pretty good. Looks like a bit of a dark SA all-stars teams... good . You can definitely feel the styles of each of the 3 guys involved in this, although perhaps Shift has the upperhand... The album has a very... rough feel... some say its lack of production quality, but I see it as their uniqie style. I think this music needs to be experienced live before the full effect is revealed... My picks are 2 and 9.
  11. A solid release, but nothing special... I always feel Ketuh has so much potential, but they never fully deliver! Ah well, I guess it's too much to ask for a reprise of Radical Simplicity :/ Anyway... there are still a few good tracks to be found here... Gappeq seems to be news of the week... will see how the sound develops as it matures... my expectations are high
  12. Excellent album! I was blown away when I heard it, and with more listens it only got better... a rare thing to happen in this scene these days. Must've been one of my favorite albums of 2003... I still give it a listen now and then... still works
  13. Pretty good album, but I really expected more from it... I like the symphonic ideas... very fresh! Best tracks have to be Zygote and Ceremony.
