  1. GMS Vs. D-Tek - Los Dorados Played about 2435316 times during the past 2 years
  2. 1. Classical Mushroom < that's that 2. The Gathering < i like unpolished, but it's a bit too unpolished, so it can't top classical 3. BP Empire < IM in a minimal, more experienced sort of way 4. Converting Vegetarians < it could battle it out with BP if it was made a single cd 5. IM the Supervisor < yeah ok
  3. No one is commenting because it's crap Oh but Dark Soho is evolving, oh but they're moving on... evolving and moving onto crap. Hehe, that was a bit harsh, but you get the picture.. less dark, more full on... with 2-3 good tracks which I already forgot about... Btw, I thought Combustion was just alright... but Sun Spot was something else, really... probably in my top10 of all time albums. I'm getting kinda used to disappointment...
  4. I ain't no hot shot mister, and there really is no need to get so deffensive. There's this thing called euro trance... and octave-jumping basslines, dramatic brakes and happy melodies are what make it similar to Vibe Tribe and Lani. With Lani being more "minimal" if you ask me... but the basis is still there.

    IFO

I actually listened to IFO only "recently" and I LOVED it... one of the best albums of all time. There goes the "dated" theory...
  6. Ah well... Kamakaze was for me far better than any of the other two... althought this one is nice.
  7. I don't like CPU... too squelchy / metal rubbing with other metal. My opinnion, if anyone is interested... bla bla
  8. Lot's of Greeks it seems You have nice beaches, among other things
  9. Everyone needs to hate something. So you have people who like the latest IM and X-Dream who need to direct their hate towards something, so Skazi is their safest choice... seeing as he has not much of a folliwing among the "elite psyers"... it's much safer to hate Skazi than to hate darkness or progressivness. Hating any of the two, one would be made to look like a fool by those that like either of the two subgenres. I don't really believe that, buy no doubt some people will find themselves in that stereotype...
  10. Hallucinogen the best without a doubt! Dub Trees and Celtic Cross were the least special probably... @subatomic vision: Dub Trees? Hallucinogen sure as hell is a Posford project... perhaps you don't understand the concept of mixing? True OTT added new stuff, but most of it (as well as the basis of the whole project) was old Posford material.
  11. It's hard to get headphones that will be really good for listening music and really good for DJing at the same time. There are pretty much 3 well defined categories when headphones are concerned: DJing, studio and audiophile. Each has it's established top players. This is especially true in DJing where you have only 3-4 distinct top ones to choose from. As for audiophile, Sennheiser is currently at the top by what most people say, including me. They also look good unlike most proffesional headphones you will find . I own a pair of HD600 (now topped by HD650 as "world best") and they are simply amazing. No matter how good speakers you have, nothing will come close to the sound of headphones if you want to hear all the sounds in music. Buy anyway back to your question. It's hard to find the perfect balance if you want both audiophile and DJing... although it would be better to get DJ headphones because they can aslo be used for home-listening, while home-listening cans can never be used for DJing. Also take into account other elements like comfort. The best cans in the world can be the worst if you can't wear them for longer than an hour, and this is different for each person.
  12. How lucky for us egoists to have such wise ones point us the way Taste differs.
  13. That is very true.. but luckily there is Luomuhappo
  14. Well I disagree, but hey it's just my opinon. Digital Mandala was released in 2003 and it was a disappointment to me becuase he lost a lot of the psychedelic elements that were there on the previous album. Better production, but more focus on basslines and "dramatic" breaks instead of perfectly layered sounds and melodies, which is what Parasite was for me. While Digital Mandala was a good album on first listen, it just got more boring after every next listen. There were no tracks like Witch Doctor, Raspy Honks, Colonization and Karmic Implications... which made me lose my head over! There are 2-3 tracks on Digital Mandala that I could say are the best, but easily forgetable... As for the Rehashed comp. Triptonite remix was a good tracks when I first heard it, but it seems to suffer the same fate as the ones on the last album. Just gets really boring after a few listens... but I'm sure the fact that it was a summer hit has something to do with that too. As for the other tracks... the over-pumped bassline syndrome is surely there. Just too dance-floor for me... and I have no doubt that I would enjoy these tracks on the dancefloor (like Digital Mandala), but now I'm home that's just not it. The rest of the compilation was also very disappointing... tracklist looked promising and I was hoping for a Boom comeback (used to be one of my fav labels), but again they disappoint me. Sorry to put it so down, that's just how I see it... but you should be happy if you like it no matter what others say
  15. Good to see more Spanish labels around Good luck
  16. Well that would really be a surprise for me... Parasite was one of my fav albums of 2002, but Digital Mandala was VERY disappointing... I'm interested to see where his style went from there.
  17. @ukiro: WOW. Well put... my thoughts EXACTLY. There has been nothing for me in the Pleiadians/Etnica music since the departure of Carlo, apart from 3 tracks on FOL (which he might have participated in anyway). @Tatsu: Yep... from what I know there was more than one release party. All in all, the new Etnica album called Sharp has its official release in a few days... no doubt once it's out they will focus on the new Pleiadians album, like they said.
  18. It's true they were... but I'm highly sceptical about the new album being any good.
  19. Liked Abakus very much! But didn't like Blumenkraft, except for one track.
  20. Since we're on the topic... the vocals that begin around 6:40 on "Around the World in a Tea Daze" are also used in Asura - Lost Eden (throughout the whole song) and they are from the sample CD "Voices of Istanbul"... as you would've guessed it's Turkish and a friend told me it's an old Turkish "bar song" or something like that... So much for originality
  21. Niiiice... looking good.. and good music too Only http://www.vitaminic.com/cgi-php/src_eng.p...utput_type=HTML doesn't work
  22. Lots of luck and keep it coming!!! I really can't wait to hear this album... No doubt it will explain a few things
  23. I know what you mean... I think it's from a sample CD or something... lots of people use material off sample CDs so you'll often hear different artists using same sounds... I think it's crap. I don't think it's in English... not sure.... my CDs are not here so I can't check now... I miss them
  24. Yeah right... there's something called difference in oppinon... and anyone can say that this album catches the attention of people who like crap music... none would be correct since it's subjective... The album was alright on first listen but nothing special... I agree about the pointless "cyber" vocals. There are some good moments music-wise... but rare and often mis-used IMO... "We Interface" would've been a nice track if it had lyrics that didn't seem like they were just thrown in. There are a few other tracks that are Irritant-like, but none of the really stand out for me... "Try To Save Your Song" is probably the one I like most... it's pretty much dark electro.. I like electro...
