I know. It was supposed to be released at the last Twisted party back in March but was delayed because of artwork problems. It's hard to believe they've spent so long getting the artwork right, I mean I like a good sleeve as much as anyone but not if it means a nine month delay. Ridiculous.
I tend to buy my Twisted releases direct from Twisted and am quite content paying a little extra in the knowledge more of my money is going to the artist(s) involved.
Fingers crossed the album isn't delayed again. I'd really like it to arrive before Christmas too as I'll be doing lots of dried mushrooms over the festive season.
Because if they don't please our senses we should be allowed to express this freely without the usual cries of 'where's your respect?' and 'why the negativity?'.
That's one of the things I hate most about this forum. You can't criticise something without someone saying something along the lines of 'if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything'. Well fuck that. Everyone should be allowed to speak their mind and express exactly how they feel, whether it be praise of criticism.
I don't consider DJing that much of a skill either and certainly don't understand the worship surrounding many DJ's.
I remember upsetting many people when I posted these opinions in a long and argumentative thread some time ago but I think that was because many of them DJ'ed and wanted to believe what they did was very skillful. At the end of the day, like traveller says, all they really do is play other people's music.
The Shpongle remix sounds pretty good, much trancier than their usual stuff. I won't be buying this on the strength of one good track though, no Sir, those days are long gone.
Ask one of the many psynewers attending the Twisted 10th Anninversary party tomorrow night to smuggle their minidisc recorder in and record Posford's set.
I don't know, I'd like to find out though and I'd like to know who organised the voting and what nations took part. A post in the Twisted forum claims many American DJ's made the top 20 so suspect a large percentage of the voting took place in America.
