  1. 1/4 of the album is complete shitte :) I want to see your faces when you'll hear 'You and I' =)

A few interesting tunes there, though.

I have this album now and I have mixed feelings about it.

This doesnt feel like an epic story like "The Last Resort" did. That album had a very cinematic feel to it. Everything in place and very descript and vivid. The Chronicles feels very differnt. Its just a bunch of more dance-orientated tunes thrown together. Which isnt really a bad thing I guess. There are some very good tunes on here and a few really nice remixes of some tunes on "The Last Resort".

Its still very good. But it doesnt grab me as much as the original album did. Although "The Last Resort" would be a very hard album to top. Its a 10/10 for sure.

Ill give this one an 8. Still very good.

  2. you only added that one because you cant get along with the first one too well, so it seems

    That doesnt even make sense.

    now, let me check...

holy shit :o youve posted at freestyle quite alot too :posford: now whats wrong with that now, did some of us steal your attention?

Id love to see the post count comparison between me and you for that thread. And no reger, you could never steal my attention. Im in a different league to you.

tuc tuc, i couldnt care less for your puny opinion d00d, find someone else to pick at ;)

    "Wha'eva! I do whaddiwaunt!"

    You go girlfriend.

  3. I think the rational angle is somewhere between reger's and moni's. Both are right. Off-topic isn't entirely about being "readable" and communicative, it's also about expressing oneself, and often that takes the form of what most would call spam. Either way, to hinder or censor one's expression is essentially a violent act, and to spam someone's forum, when there are rules against such a thing, is essentially violent too. The key is finding some compromise. As in, if you have to spam, do it with some tact, and if you have to moderate, do it, too, with some feeling for what's really harming people. My opinion.

Couldnt agree more. Except I feel its more a 70% - 30% split in regers favour with regards to not compromising.

  4. eh, among the lamest "reasons" ever if you ask me... NO ONE was FORCED into READING and POSTING in FREESTYLE! HELLLOOOOOOOO?! WAKE UP!

My lord, that irritated me so much you wont beleive it.

Freestyle is nothing but absolute shit. A place for people who are "trying" to be funny, but are failing miserably.

EDIT: If the age-old rule of "only speaking when you have something intelligent or funny to say" applied to you reger, I think we would be hearing a hell of a lot less from you.

  5. I remember the first time I "got it", and once I got it, I was pro instantly.

I took a very large dose of LSD and was standing a few meters away from a 70k sound rig. I just stood there and let the bassline move my body, seemlingly automatic, then you just use your arms to "curve around" the melodies and rythms", kinda like dancing "around" it, flowing seemlessly into different patterns and designs. Its weird to explain, but it works... :)

  6. Out of those three you mentioned, I wouldn't call Exaile dark. ;)

Here are some artists I consider dark that I like. I hope this helps:

    Atriohm

    Mussy Moody

    Encephalopaticys

Mubali (my buddy from the US) ;)

    Hokus Pokus

    Gidra

    Derango

    Kindzadza

    Orestis

    Jellyheadz

The latest Jellyheadz album is actually pretty damn good. Very consistant and driving. Good stuff.

  7. Now that I have your attention....

There is a track that I have always wondered the name to (or what album it is on).

Its usually used as an opening track for a set at festivals (ive heard a few DJ's start with this track). Its simply a woman giggling, and then eventually laughing her ass off, proper real loud laughter and then the track kicks in eventually. But the laughing goes on for a while.

Anyone know this track at all?

  8. ;)

    ;) ;)

    +

    Distance - My Demons

the Cinematic Orchestra - Ma Fleur

    DHG - Supervillain Outcast

Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet

    When - Trippy Happy

The White Stripes - Icky Thump

Porcupine tree is the muts nuts.

  9. Simon Posford has coodies.

Plus he has a wooden leg with an LSD treasure island map in it, and he has a glass eye with a fish in it.

Plus I heard that his "Twisted" and "The lone deranger" albums were written by undiscovered musically talented youth from Cambodia, who were payed them 5 cents an hour to randomly run around video clubs and search for cool samples they would later incorporate into tracks, while Simon would undeservedly collect the credit!

I heard Simon posford lived in Hawaii for 6 months, just sitting on the beach all day, listening for the perfect wave. One day while deep in a shamanic trance brought on by snorting a rare form of prehistoric tree bark. He then heard the perfect wave, and recorded it on his minidisk, by running naked into the ocean waving the mindisk recorder around in a hope to capture all its psychdelic beauty. He then added a few effects, and a reverb and used it in one of his tunes.
