Mostly, I asbolutely hate it. Especially happy hardcore. There is some pretty awesome FINRG out there though which is really well produced. It's still too fast though....

BP Empire, for me, is by far their best album. Possibly one of the best psy albums ever made. I STILL listen to it today and it hasn't dated much.

I've thought about this sometimes... When you see people who don't understand psytrance, but listen to hardstyle or electro and stuff like that.. It's usually the hooligan type, or just slight retarted people(not tojudge ALL hardstyle fans). Can it be, that their brain just isn't strong enough to process all the different layers and sounds of psytrance, so that they will never be able to experience the beauty in a "grower"(you know the tracks that we need to listen to several times before understanding it). That they can't disconnect the sounds, and feel each instruments. Caus if you can't do that, it's no wonder it just sounds like noise to them.
I know some "rather dumb" people who are into fullon like the new INfected mushroom, Growling machines, GMS-enjoy the silence(shit like that) wich is IMO empty music, just like hardstyle. They say they love psytrance (
) but every time i put on something REAL, they don't like it.Maybe my theory is just bullshit, caus i know alot of intelligent people, who DON*T like psytrance, but then again, they aren't into electronic music at all.
Any experiene or theories on this?

I hate loudness character very much too and must laugh my ass off til it tears down when someone comes and says Ipot has good music quality or the people who thing they are something better and are cool if they have an Ipod, I´ve listened to Ipods many times and they really sound shit. I don´t want to say Sony are the best but they sound way more dcent than Ipod shit.
Loudness character is very bad, it jsut sounds very crappy, if you put on the headphones you just realize how bad loudness character sounds, all hiphop shit stuff and pop shit stuff has the typical loudness character, when i play an oldschool psytrack over headphones over my creatuve soundcard it sounds way better than a pop song from nelly fortado for example who uses extremly much loudness character. it is also very shitty when oldschool is playing you set a volume, and if we ofcourse don´t have pop in our playlists but if we would the pop would blast very much louder on the same volume as the oldschool goa track and that´s not quality for me. If music is optimated to sound loud and clear on the cheapest speakers because they lack detail it sounds exremly awful and oversaturated on good speakers or good headphones. But I think oldschool and neschool generally don´t use the loudness character, some fullon however uses the bad loudness charcter but not to an extent as the mainstream pop scene, the worst loudness character is still used by mainstream rap.
I have an Ipod, but my earphones probably cost more than your whole sound system. Ipod standard earphones are probably the shittest earphones I have ever heard. Which is why I bought these:

No matter what, in the end I'll always get bored of classical because the instruments used are the same and therefore all the sounds are the same. If classical started using synths that would be interesting, but with the same 'ol sounds that have been sounding the same for 400 years, it just doesn't do it. I know the composition and structure etc.. might be superior but the sound itself can be rather repetitive and then it gets boring.
For example, I"m sure if you played the rhythm on Electric Universe's One Love track on a piano, it would sound fairly ordinary, but that sound that's coming out of that synth is soooo beautiful.
Thats not a bad idea. An orchestra of real instruments and synths. All loaded up with VSTs and wobble bass. Glitches on the violins. Some side-chain compression on the Cello's and Flutes so that the EQ's dont muddle up. Add some sick-ass Trance-gate, sawtooth synth effect over the oboes, and add some ultra low sub-bass with ultraviolent-hoovers going fuckshit all over the place.
Could be the next big thing.

Yes. Classical music is 160bpm, with killar basslines, a 4-to-the-floor beat and has many drug-related sound samples in it. It is also structured exactly the same, and the people dont actually play the instruments, they just press a button and the modulated sounds come out of a speaker. There is also a lot of reverb and LFOs in Classical music to create a nice wobble bass. Classical music does sometimes overuse the Glitch VST though. Classical music also only takes about 5 hours to compose.

back to bother you with some noobish questions about music production. (we all have to start somewhere)Is there any VST's or techniques used to produce really crisp professional sounding and driving percussion?
What effects do you use on your snares, claps and hats to make them sound better?
Also what are the sequence of putting these in to give them a nice driving sound?

If all I use the app for is copying music onto the ipod, why would I want to use anything else if it functions perfectly? (Poddox is a MASSIVE 200kb) for taking music off the ipod onto the computer I use Ephpod.
Everyone knows Itunes is a steaming pile of cunt-slop. There is no excuse for anyone ever using it.

yeah, this stuff is wicked. i really dont listen to enough dubstep, although ive been getting some nifty dubstep tracks through the pandora ipod touch app; the shitty thing is i cant get itunes to sync this mix to said ipod touch for some reason....
Only pedophiles use iTunes. Use poddox instead. It wont delete your ipod when u use it on another computer, and its much easier to use.
