  1. That was a reference to the word innuendo, which is a plaintiff's interpretation in a libel suit of an allegedly libelous or slanderous material so the irony holds that now he uses nuendo as sequencer and his music got better...Got it now?
  2. It's a nuendo Hahahahahah! Get it? get it? "a nuendo"....
  3. Obviously they will suck If they try to do old-school goa, that would suck..and as an ex-oldschool Goa artist always produce cheesy melodic full-on nowadays, and that sucks either
  4. I still want to know why I was accused of spamming, something I never do Sure I may be saying some things to be cached out on the air and with double meaning. Sure I was telling others what we do hate and what we don’t hate, but was that really spamming? As I see it, spamming would be writing useless posts, and that wasn’t useless, I see people doing so much worse than that.... but hey! lets deprecate Stalkers post because he uses harsh words That’s just how I am Another thing to point out is that I truly believe in what I said. People learn slow and good music is hard to catch Alluring heh?
  5. People learn slowly I firmly believe that in about 30 years everyone will have a similiar musical taste to mine
  6. Baba I finally listen to this and I got say it surprised me on the good sense of the word I love the structure of the track and how you did the atmos on it It sure sounds like a good ol' sensient tune It gotta rythm bro, and that's what matters
  7. The piano roll in Logic is called matrix, and in every other sequencer, those wave forms you talk only appears if it is an Audio track, everything MIDI is sequenced on a piano roll, in this case is called Matrix And here is the piano roll of Sonar, a charmfull little software By the way, its not only Logic, but in almost every sequencer only the wav.files and samples is showed as a wave form....
  8. You are a gentleman Mr.Prosect! Thanks
  9. Hold your worries..Stalker is here to help you out Nice. First of all, in terms of processing capacity this computer is very nice A Pentium D with 2 Gig of RAM is more then enough Bottom line: Your computer is excellent for music making Now, about soundcards, software and Monitors…That’s when it gets tricky Personal experiences is what we know to be “the best”, cause frankly there was not a single sane man that test it out every single sequencer, soundcard etc We can rely on some famous quality solutions For U$ 500 you can get a really nice sound card like the M-Audio DELTA 10/10 Or you can go tight and get the EMU.... now that’s nasty You’ll have plenty more options to choose from, but put in mind that M-Audio and EMU are famous for their high quality products with an accessible price Obviously, if you want to spend a lot of Money you can get a MOTU but that’s almost U$ 2000, so save that for later Software: Now I’m a Logic user and there is no better program for making electronic music than Logic. However this only applies to my opinion and there is nothing more personal then choosing your own sequencer I would recommend thou, you should stick to the ones that hold quality, not because they have an easy interface. Therefore, you can try Logic, Sonar or Cubase..In that order please I believe Sonar has a free demo available on-line, test it out The only down side about Logic is that you can run in a PC unless you get to have the greatest Sequencer ever made: Logic Platinum 5.5 for PC, which is fairly cheap now, because you can’t upgrade it for a new version Monitors: You are very right on deciding to spend some good money on monitors, because that’s a part you can’t go cheap I don’t know too much about it, but stay away from Behringer Google for it and see which one fits the best in your price range, try to get a Mackie or a Wharfedale DP8.1A Diamond Pro About PC vs Mac…I would definitely go for a PC, because macs are for white snob rich guys If someone told you that a Mac is better than a PC for music making you should ask them where he got that info and after that you should laugh and call him an idiot PS: If you want to talk about it in Portuguese or you have a specific doubt about the whole music making process, just ask
  10. VSTi (virtual studio technology instrument) was developed by Steinberg as a Universal platform for soft synths and samplers. Not all the companies bought into it. Cubase and Nuendo use it extensively. You may also hear about VST2 and VSTi2 plugins. VST2 is simply an extension of the VST format. These pass on more parameters to the host for automation. Are PC VSTs and VSTi compatible on Macs? Always assume the answer is no unless the developer makes it clear. If they made a Mac version, they will be sure to list that. Usually, developers will have a PC VSTi version and a Mac VSTi version, so be careful to get (and install) the right one. Usually, these days they are both on the same cd rom. RTAS is the format used by Digidesign, the maker of Pro Tools LE, which comes bundled with the popular Digi 002 interface. RTAS will also work in Pro Tools M-Powered, which works with M-audio interfaces. RTAS plugins, however, will not work in Logic, Cubase or Sonar.
