i agree with you dude! Another suggestion....go out and meet people. In the Cape Town Psytrance Scene, if you want to be known/or get a deal, you have to meet people in the scene, like the promotional teams, artists, dj'd, friends of friends, etc.... Once you've done that then its your chance to show people what you got! Thats my opinion, i dont know whats its like in other countries...

1) You'll need a pc obviously prefferably a desktop with enough power and space, and make sure your soundcard surports the software you'll be using. 2) Some Software - Start off with programs like FruityLoops, once you get a feel and understanding, go onto programs like Reason, Cubase, etc 3) When you feel you defiantely keen, get yourself a midi controller, makes life alot easier! 4) For Listening to what u producing go for a pair a monitor headphones, you could get Monitor Speakers, but you will piss your neighbors off And lastly, download as many samples(Wav Files) as you possibly can, makes the producing alot of fun Once u have all of that you on your way to having a amateur studio! Im going to this purely to see Alien Project, as i havnt seen Ari Linker play live for like 2years now, so would be interesting to see what he comes up with, probably just the normal full on though, like his albums that are out now. in a amateur home studio. At the moment im using Reason2.5, will be moving onto Cubase SX3 soon. I have a Raduim49 Midi Controller, Emu 0404 soundcard, and getting a decent amplifier soon too... Now this worth getting, cause i want to purchase one more piece to my studio before i leave the UK, but im not exactly sure what would be the next best thing Any suggestions, or more easy to digest info on this mixer Thank ppl!

In My Opinion I think South African Psytrance rocks, and so do our parties! Artist like Rinkadink, Broken Toy, Tickets, Shift, Phyx, Protoculture, Aphid Moon, etc, etc, etc..... Are all brilliant in their own way There is no one particular sound/style in psytrance from ZA. We have different sub genres as well....and all these artists have taken it to another level. Nate,Aphid Moon with the morning grooves Phyx, Shift, Twisted night time psychedelic Artifakt, the weirdest most unique act by far i think to date. Hi all, Im wanting to download some movie wav samples from the net, ive been to a few places.... ...the problem im having is that im downloading wav samples, but most of them are corrupt or something, cause when i try load it into the NN19/NN-XT it says its an "unsurpported format"??? does that mean the wav is f**ked? And if there is any good places where i can download please let me know! Thanks

Ive got quite a few refills, i mean heaps of them....would anyone have ideas where i can find good Bass Synths, as well as Kick... ....Also been having a problem with my kicks, i know you have to layer them too and fiddle with compression, and equalisation....Any ideas? Hey Thanks guys! Thought i wouldnt get a response! So should i be using the Equaliser and Compressor Devises once ive layed out the bassline using Subtrator/Maltrom/NN-XT/NN19 with a matrix? Would i have to layer these, like have more than devise contributing to the bassline...For example, having 3 subtractors, with matrix's??? Thanks for the help, going to explore tonight

Would anyone like to shed some light on how to get a phat groovy psychedelic bassline going....the likes of Broken Toy, Aphid Moon, etc.... I have some idea you need to layer it, but i cant seem to find a fomula Im using Reason2.5, and im messing around Subtractor and Maltrom Synths, im layering, putting in the matrix pattern sequencer, etc...and i still cant get a good result? Hi everyone, Was wondering if you could rename refills, so i would know which ones are for what devices, like adding extra info to the title.... ...ive renamed one now, and when i try open it from the device it was open in before it's disapeared, not in the list where it was?? like the format is wrong or something....also tried renaming it with .rfl at the end, dont work either? Can you actually rename Refills? Thanks

hi everyone, Reason newbie here... im using 2.5 and i have been downloading free movie wav snippets that i want to use in NN-XT, Dr REX Loop, etc.... The thing is now i cant use the wav files i downloaded, it says the files are corrupt or unknown? tried putting them in ReCycle too, and it says the same thing? Do i need a converter, or are those wav files just broken? If some one could help me that would be great Adios Amigos! Psy
