  1. Bruce Lee is my most influential philosopher. I am a little biased, and Taoism has always made sense to me.
  2. Hey Tatsu. Konichiwa. Is there really singing?
  3. Isn't Younger Brother an Alias for Simon Posford? What the hell would he be doing, involved with this. And on Twisted? That is truly Twisted in the sense that it is lame.
  4. But Kardec was dead before the advent of LSD. And, he hailed from French High Society. Many of you have advised that my view does not relate to other people. I can understand that some drugs impede your spirit. So, as a scientist, wouldn't he be more objective and wouldn't he use the scientific method to hypothesize the claims that he made? Especially when drugs have been used consistently in society from prehistoric period. And. if you believe that God created the Earth and everything on it, why would he put mariuana everywhere? Why would he put mushrooms in cow shit? Why would almost every known drug occur in nature and in vivo? We produce dopamine. That is artificial? And, ask yourself, would pleasure exist without pain? If so, how would you know? Again, I am terrible written communication so, I am not negative or condescending. I just would like your view because it helps.
  5. Slow? As compared to Izratrance? If this is slow, Izratrance is a fossil. Maybe they could make psynews have chat room ability. That way you can actually have somewhat of a realtime conversation and it wouldn't be slow. Forum-based communication is like a category in your email. But, what would really spice this place up ... more women.
  6. I am sorry for the poor communication...please don't chastise me, yet. Let me explain. From what I have been reading and the general assumptions of other people, I made the broad generalization that goa is light and psy is dark? I should have put that question mark. That is because I perceive that people are complaining that goa is not melodic and the creation of dark psy to be goa should is somehow light and psy is dark . So. that ridiculous idea I got from other people. That idea I agree is too black and white. And doesn't work as I agree with you that Goa and Psy have both dark and light. What I am referring to is the duality of the music not the dichotomy. At this point I am sure you have seen my perception of the music evolving. And the best way I can describe Goa/Psytrance is the way Yin/yang describes the universe. This idea of yin/yang that one thing is made of two polar energies not opposite but complementary. So we know that dark can't exist without light, The dark and light are not different, they are just describing the nature of how the universe uses dynamic energy to create a perpetual homeostasis. Just as you give the music atmospheric traits like morning and dark atmosphere. The beauty is that we totally agree but the language is incapable of showing that. Except morning fullon is that like morning wood? And, this Light vs Dark poll is perfect to show that it is Light-Dark not light vs dark. The Earth is one planet that can be dark and light at the same at different degrees and the place that is most dark has the most light furthest away. I am not worried about this music. I am not looking for a reemergence. The natural Tao of Goa/Psytrance causes an original and mindblowing convergence and I believe that we will experience this new goa/psytrance the first month of 2015.
  7. I don't know what interpretation, you refer. But, if I may give my interpration. This is an example of some that is trying to hard to get all the right elements of Goa. Except Goa means anything goes. So, the sound that it turned out back then was due to the fact that artist were given a safe haven from all the Progressive Trance, House, Breaks, Anthems, Techno, Tribal House, Progressive House, Hard Trance, etc. So this is what came out of that brainstorm, freedom, collaboration and isolation. Something never heard before, Something Mind-blowing. Something Misinterpreted, Sidelined, Downplayed, and underrated. Guess what? It didn't matter, that was something the record companies were dreaming of. Some awesomely marketable and money making sound. Thank God that truly great music is percieved this way until years later. When Tiesto (who the f**ck is that)? When I was in hiding did some Demigod of Electronic get created? I am sorry but if I see Hallucinogen -- Angelic Particles(DJ Tiesto Halo Remix), I will probably kill myself. Or a meteor is about to hit the Earth because if that happens, it could only signal Arman Van Geddon lol or Karmageddon. Oh wait that was actually real. But that you guys know how I feel about him. So, I think this video and many other posts are trying to compare the new with the old as the old stuff went by a set of rules. It didn't outside of dance music structure. And that is the essence...stop trying to be like someone else. No one wants to here a some new twist on the old or the next generations attempt at what they can't do. Music is very powerful and when you allow it to be natural you get some bad and some revelations. But, what many of you fail to show is the bad goa trance that came out what do yo think made the good shit so good...yin and yang the flow of the universe expands contracts in a dynamic that seeks homeostasis. I am sure Elysium can back me up or are there any other DJ's from the mid to late 90's that did Goa/Psy? Did you buy every Goa\Psy Record or did pick through them and choose a few good ones? I was at the record store on the shipment day. We listened to every track that came out and I know that at least 50% of it was shit. I don't know if that number is much higher today or that it is because no one except a few. Elysium, OOOD, for example know what it the music was. But, I know that Elysium would probably agree that it was this massive energy release from artists all over the globe. They were like today. They heard it all, they were sick of the same shit. The music the turned out wasn't heard in that way before. But, amazingly many artists from all over understood it like: Well let me give the perfect example of what I am talking about. Read the Title press play and at least listen to the what the Quoted samples say. This sums it all up. IMO http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRgj2qtSXlU
  8. Tatsu, Sorry not to reply until now. You are so good at writing your thoughts in a way that doesn't offend. I wish I had some control over my writing. You would think it would be helpful that this medium allows me to revise or redo before I submit it. It is consistent with how I wrote in school, though. I didn't like whole revision thing. I just made my rough draft the final draft. Anyway, I am glad you read what I post, and ask questions. You really help me. I find that, in my mind I am answering your question, but recently, I find myself thinking about what you and others have advised me. That I may be looking at it from a very local view and not globally. So, I am realizing many things can be different. Sorry. But, especially the whole "hippie" thing, I have grown up in the area that gave birth to an entire generation of hippies. So, yes a tweaker would be the obvious association. I think I replied to this before but I was obviously not thinking clearly. At any rate, I think that I have been around so many hippies and not just SF area but there are a lot in Hawaii (Kauai mostly). Watch footage of Woodstock, I think you might see what I am talking about. One in particular is that guy who is shaking his head so fast he looks like one of the demons from Jacob's ladder. Typically a hippie is not as skinny as a tweeker. And hippies have the worst B.O. in the world--I would bet. And yes drugs have been a huge part of my life. Not like some junkie. I think that the drugs and music go hand in hand. But you don't have do them, certainly. But, there is a lot of Amphetamine-like stuff, Classic Hallucinogens, The Emerald Triangle just North of me. The best buds in the world. I am pretty sure of that. Especially when Amsterdam imports most of their seeds from there. My Dad was a Dead Head -- he was a Vietnam Marine Veteran -- that made it difficult for him to become a hippie. Thank goodness. But, still got into the movement, we lived on a sex commune til I was five, it was Make Peace Not War, Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll, free love for all. Now, I see a bumper sticker that says "Hugs not Drugs." That makes me wretch. Seriously, Bill Hicks says it very eloquently when he describes his drug experience. He says, "Not all drugs are good, some are great." That makes me smile. He goes on to say how he has done a lot of drugs and it was not a bad thing. I think for many people they have bad experiences with drugs and the stigma they have in society reinforces that it is not possible to do drugs and have a good life. I think that drugs are part of life. It's the way we are educated and marketed, that harms us more that drugs. To put crack and pot together and say they harm you the same. And then you watch commercials with sexy woman and it says "This Bud's For you." "It's Miller time" and to fine the entire tobacco industry billions of dollars for lying about how bad cigarettes are on your health. Cigarettes are still legal. So, it's not really drugs, it's really the ones that are socially acceptable. And that can't be right. Alcohol and Tobacco? Acceptable. All others, unless prescribed, unacceptable, and now all over the U.S. especially in California, Pot is very much accepted to be medically useful. But, the federal law still has it categorized the same as heroin and crack. So, it's very much a big lie and people still go along with it all over the world but the U.S, is the worst. I think. Before goa/psytrance I went to the big raves like Funky Techno Tribe, The Gathering....and the other 1000+ people raves and that was when DJ Dan and Doc Martin and Sasha and Rabbit in the Moon (love RITM) The Hardkiss record release of Delusions of Grandeur was incredible. The whole rave underground was still underground and drugs were pretty much mandatory. But there was no psychedelic-labeled music. But, there was a lot of Acid and MDMA and pot and crank and Rufies were coming onto the scene. You know the date rape drug? I don't know what inhuman asshole started that shit. If you can't get a laid without tranquilizing the girl, you need to have your balls cut off. You know what Rufies are. Flunitrazepam. I was just looking that up to make sure and of course, the fucking government. It states it was only used in 1% of the cases and that of the woman tested, only 1/3rd of 1 percent...So, it is not the date rape drug. Thank goodness, I thought that it was an awesome drug, if you were frying too hard or having a bad trip you could take one and you were gel...it took the edge off of everything. It was the perfect comedown after party drug. Before you fell asleep you were social and everything was funny and wonderful and then you woke up like 14 hours later and no idea what happened. It did have a strong amnesic effect that's for sure. I just read that it was considered to be the most effective benzodiazapene. And they falsified date rape to classify it more harmful than alcohol? If you want to know what the true date rape drug. It's alcohol!!!!! What is going on? Have you ever had surgery and they have to put you under? If you are really scared they ask you if you want Valium before the anesthetic. You know why? Not too relax you. Because Valium has a high amnesic effect. The reason they give it to you is because going through surgery can be very traumatic. An amnesic helps you forget the trauma. That is what the Rufie's did. But way better. They were so powerful, too. How does Switzerland perceive drugs?
  9. I agree. The whole Goa aspect of Goa/Psytrance is anything goes. It's a safe place for a musician to create without boundaries. Of course music is inherently formulaic, and usually referred to as Music Theory. The fact that music is a theory and not proven should tell you that you that formula is still unproven. So music is the perfect manifestation of yin/yang. And yin and yang are actually adjectives not nouns. so we can take what we characterize in psytrance and Goa trance and we find Goa and Psy are Yin/Yang. That is they are polar complements -- not opposites -- of one thing. IMO, Goa and psytrance over time will interact dynamically, perpetually balancing each other. I think it is an easier way to perceive this music. We can even see that relationship with their history. In the mid 1990's Goa trance was the the old-school. And almost immediately they overlap and then Psytrance is the music. The music began to fracture to achieve the less restrictive psytrance connotation. So, you see psybient and psybreaks and neogoa and darkpsy and forest Goa? I don't know I can't remember the way they are labeled. That is of course the nature of yin/yang. Because you can't talk about one without the other. And now this reemergence of old-school is again the dynamic flow of Goa/Psytrance. Again, because of this duality, attempting to reject one and accept the other will only make them closer. And as Dark Psy attempt to pull away from Goa it only will bring them closer. Especially using the term Dark. That would mean that Goa is light. That alone makes it impossible for Dark psy to become separate. From Dark comes Light, Light becomes dark. The formulaic and rigid pattern that is dominating the scene and also being labeled Psytrance is just nature in action. Because when it is most apart it naturally goes back together. And, if Goa is anything goes and psytrance has rules, again, that is perfect. In following with Yin/Yang, this temporal nature of Goa/Psytrance guarantees that original sound will reemerge but it won't be the same. This is natural. Of course this view of this music will cause many to disagree and many to agree. I don't see that as anymore that trying to identify with what you love about the music. I think one of the first things I wrote on this subject is that you either know what it is when you hear or it is not Goa/psytrance. That was apparent early when I would flip through records there were two classifications at this record store. If you know who Mars and MysterE are, F-8 or Frequency8 was their record store. The primarily got their music from Germany and at the time they were probably the biggest Cybertrance guys on the West Coast. But, there distributor also did the Goa/Psytrance and it would be expensive and impracticable to order just cybertrance. Anyway, my point is that you can easily distinguish cybertrance form Goa/Psytrance. Sometimes I would listen to a cybertrance record and it had the simple elements of the German Hard Trance. But it did not have that indescribable energy that Goa/psytrance has. It's not as you can't mix them together, they just don't fit. And today, I can easily distinguish Goa/psy from any other music. I know my perception of how I label the music with trying to separate them because I have a stronger identification with Psytrance, But attempting to deny Goa from that just results in antagonistic behavior. Some people want to antagonize this music. The only way to do that is not to like it at all and that means it has to truly opposite. So, if you label it as dark psytrance in an attempt to identify darkness and metal and that more wicked nature of it, guess what? You get what you don't want and that is the God of Goa and the God father of DarkPsy, Goa Gil...how ironic is that to identify with the ultimate Goa incarnate in order to be different? I can see how his steadily increasing tempo and constant antagonistic and disrespect of mixing and track selection would be attractive to the Evil Realms, But I don't think it is evil so that may not help no matter how evil I think Goa Gil is. Sorry, I forgot I was not going to bring up Darkpsy again. But, I was wrong. Don't worry that awesome mind-blowing original sound will naturally return. Practice Wu-Wei, for now. P.S. Thank you for bringing your feminine energy and softness to this typically masculine and stubborn forum. I just realized something...the problem with psytrance is that it's a sausage fest. Screw Mars, Psy needs woman.
  10. My two cents, again... Goa/Psytrance music can only thrive when it aligns its sound with our mind's unquenchable thirst for innovation , cleverness, and impatient desires. The idea of decorating a party with black light and tapestries is like wearing parachute pants. Break Dancing has survived from it's roots the early 1980's and has actually become very popular. But people don' wear parachute pants any more. Psytrance has become very popular, why do we still use the same clothes to express it? it's outdated. The best way I can put it is it's like buying a brand new gaming computer with a quad core processor, 8gigs of ram, a huge hard drive , super fast HD graffix and then you connect it to the internet with dial-up. That dial-up modem is like the tapestries and the computer is the music. And the interaction of the music is like connecting to the internet with a 56k modem. Are we so bereft of creative innovation that we keep the same props? I think it is really insulting to our intelligence to use the same decorations as we used almost twenty years ago. Can't we have like holographic lighting and digital images, instead. The music has overall gotten very bad. Not all of it just most. It is the same sound of minimal trance/techno with a possible 303 but it is more. Correct me if I am wrong. Most Psytrance to day is the same formula. It starts out with ambient and vocal samples and then this thick baseline that is the same for almost every track and then 4 on the Floor Techno percussion with rolling drum patterns . Then a synth sound like an acid like sound or an intermittent saw wave with a reverb effect than another ripping sound, and more vocal samples and ambient, dropping into the same sound as before. You know what it sounds like. It sounds like the artists don't know how to play the piano. The don't know how to create riffs and melodies. Just a rolling percussion the same bass line and an atmospheric stab or rip sound. The artists of the early years were musicians, now I think they must us a program like Acid and sequence loops. I hear fat sounding synth but it is used like a sound effect instead of cool sounding riffs. What do you think?
  11. You do what's right for you. But, I think you are very talented at digtal visuals. On more that one occasion I have been the ass end of your insult. We both know that vulnerabiliy leaves ourselves open to pain but it also can cause some nasty and ignorant insults in return. So I am sorry. And, the whole polish thing was more anectdotal than truth, But, I was trying to pay you another compliment by comparing how much better your visuals would be than some black light and tapestry. Since you seem to be devoid of emotion. I took jab at you, but instead of ever explaining why you insulted me you just pointed out a fallacy and a guilt trip about being let down. Now maybe this is your way of having a reason to get out, and I was a good sucker for that. Or, something else is bothering you...the only thing I can tell you from my experience is what I tried to relate with OOOD. Everyone sees the people behind the scene and think that they are godlike and have a wonderfully charmed life. What they don't see is all the hard work and bullshit that we have to battle all the time to make some progress. It's not easy, but if it's your passion it doesn't matter. So, if you aren't passionate about it that is why you get out. Not for any other reason. If you are motivated by any other reason besides that you love it. You are not gonna make it. If you really love what you do, Just sleep on it. And think about it and do what i do wu wei. the art of action through inaction. I hope you stick around but I understand. Remember, I am on your side. Vaya con Dios.
  12. Now who is the negative one? If that was just another promo thread, Why would I suddenly become someone that is not me, like a wretched marketing chameleon? I have been true to myself on this psyte. I usually submit a rough draft as final the night before it is due. But, These discussions help me write my thoughts cohesively and they may evolve into something different. Maybe my tastes in comedians will help you understand my sense of humor: Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope, and Dave Chappelle. IMO, the best stand-up artists ever. Hicks is a breakthrough in comedy substance and structure and views. Stanhope is similar to hicks but he is way more vulgar and he is so good at using intellectual humor to talk about lewd stuff. Dave Chappelle the only comedian that succeeded in making me view the world through a black guy in the ghetto. And he has the best timing and delivery of anyone. So, continuing to take low blows and cheap shots at me is not funny, i don't even think it's you. I came to write you a compliment on your Digital Visual talent. Awesome visuals, that is what I want to see, not a black light and a bad glow in the dark symbol of whatever. The tapestries they now sell at walmart. With a black-light. I think I even saw an infomercial on how to make your own. They have become so popular , they are mass produced not hand painted. You of all, please help me with your talent of visuals, Is that advancing our experience or is it impeding it.? What's with the demonic avatar? Is that to show your devotion to Satan or that you are darker than the others? It doesn't fit with your beautiful and technologically advanced visuals. That's like the ray gun on Star Trek, how do they uses shitty stun guns and the can be beamed up? Like the Polish bringing Swordsmen on Horseback to fight machine guns. I am sorry that I value your opinion enough to show vulnerability. I have to be more careful.
  13. You know as an artist, we can get insecure and sensitive and arrogant and mad and back to confident and respectful.. Well maybe me, but I think artists, in general are a little unstable. Do you agree. Unless, Sinead O'connor shaved her head cuz she was hot. she was hot. or van gough was donating his ear to a burn victim. or, mozart was not a spaz. and Kiss didn't wear makeup..you catch my drift. Thank you. I will get right back to you.
  14. I really don't like the use of nonsynthesized sounds. I don't want to hear a sitar for a long time. I can barely handle Raja Rams flute. Some tracks, it worked..like Rollerblades - Juno Reactor the electric guitar was cool. But, any artist from Poland, I doubt would incorporate the Accordian. And have you ever listened to Indian music. Especially the Pop music.... I am have a little trouble deciphering your cd/ufo comparison. And, I have never had a real religious experience. That is like an oxymoron. You are holding a spinning disc that many describe ufo's. j/k The last sentence, I really admire. Finally, a little vulnerabiltiy and acknowledgment. I totally agree. It's almost impossible not to promote yourself as higher states of consiousness, or Spiritual or Multidimensional. But, I do that because it is part of the music that I like, and relate. If I were a rapper, I would have to be like Ahh, wutz up, g. dis iz tha shiznit, right here. Yo-Yo-Yo. Peep dis. But instead, I make mix called Uncommon Shaman -- Trancending Axis Mundi.. I can't help it... That is how we speak this music. We have to be cryptic and use spiritual and futuristic terminology. I just think it's important to be clever and have hidden meanings. Again, I will use Juno Reactor as an example. Juno is a Synth made by Roland. Juno is also the guardian of female spirits. and the mother of Mars. So, Guardian Angel is much more meaningful so is Mars. I already tried looking for your tracks and I just get bad links. Oh I found you. I see. You have been kidnapped by darkspsy, also? Why? Your Music is Psytrance. If you are DarkPsy, then so is the lone dereanger, Juno Reactor, Etnica, Trancewave, KoxBox...Seriously. I admit that there is a lot of this formula happening. But it is due to trying to bridge the past. And, would if you didn't want to be linked to satan or belzababa (gil). No one is dark enough to warrant the new style. because it is not new. The only one that fits is Goa Gil. He plays tracks for 24 hours straight at 160+bpms. That is horror. I don't know...but when it is overclassified you can't be as free... people expect the same but as a DJ, I would definitely buy this. You need to have a variety within a style to create new sounds and surprise yourself. I apologize if you felt I included you in the gil-bashing...but I didn't. One more thing, did mozart have dark symphonies? Yes, but did he say well this light symphony and this is dark. You got to have both. Or none at all. I have a very critical and serious way of choosing psytrance. First is it psytrance or not? Second, Is it good or not? If I answer yes both, that's it. End of decision. But, if I don't like something and I bought it, I might attempt to justify it. That is when we makeup silly new microstyles. That is one reason I would never DJ under a stage name that was specific. Like Goa Gil. He ain't gonna play house music. Also, Great artwork killer shit. If I mixed your tracks, would you hate me?
  15. I really hope not. This is really the first and last time, I want to know about that. That is a bad word. I won't speak it, if you won't.
  16. You are right....the Nazis already paved the way for the desanctifying of Hinduism with the Swastika. But, you put Hinduism, Aliens, sci-fi, fractals together. Yesterday, I was being an ass. Now I am oversensitive. But, it's okay for you to take what is sacred to many people and what is absolutely true there being; and you make it nonsense like Aliens and Science Fiction. And then you take something that is very real and abundant in nature and now cutting edge technology. And toss them together like they mean nothing. That is fine with me, but if it means nothing then why hang the tapestry of an OHM, or why have a sample like the one in vapour rumors about the aliens landing. And, why use Windows Media Player Visuals to represent the visual hallucinations. Fractals are the last thing I want to look at when tripping, an ohm tapestry and a blacklight are so weak. Aliens are so lame. Except the movie with Sigourney weaver. But you know what, this whole time I have been ranting, nature has already taken care of it. Guess who adopted all the stuff I don't like? Look, up in the heavens, it's a bird, no a phoenix, no it's a plane, no a flying saucer, it's DarkPsy!!!!!! To the rescue. Darkpsy has taken the almighty Goa Gil as their Psyth of the Darkpsyde. With a background of satanic ties and heavy metal, DarkPsy has emerged to seize as much of the evil psytrance as they can. This is a miracle. It's like mainstream America feels about the capture of Bin Ladin. Darklord Gil has been captured and now his Karmageddon is realized.
  17. You know...you really are an idealist, like me. Because, I agree. But, it seems like the most sacred becomes the most exploited. And, there are so many hybrid-believers. I mean...they say that they are Christian, but they don't practice it. There are so many fake people in the world. They are partial to everything so they can't ever be insensitive or politically incorrect. Meanwhile, the entire thing that makes them unique is erased. What happens is exactly what most people want. Docile, mundane, clone consumers. And the people that hold their religion sacred and private are on the front page. Do you know what is the most recognized symbol in the world? The Catholic Cross. Do you know what is the second most recognized symbol? This is the truth. You know what other Hindu Symbol was exploited? Look Familiar?
  18. Again, I am sorry. I don't play hard to get....I play hard to want. T. Viz (your hip-hop name) seriously, what did you think of the mix?
  19. There are many psilocybin fungi. One grows out of cow shit. Fungus is attracted to warm, dark, dank environments and cow shit happens to provide that. But there are many mushrooms. The one from super mario bros is fly agarcic? that has a different psychoactive chemical. But this is the one you probably recognize: You are absolutely correct. The human brain is the most power and most unknown forces in the universe. Give this a listen, I would really appreciate any feedback. No feedback doesn't help. Negative feedback is better than none. Thanks again for putting up with me. And I do apologize, again for my recent behavior. Enjoy:
  20. I agree. But, isn't he blaspheming by using a beautiful and sacred ability and tradition by contradicting its nature and purpose at the same time? First. He states that he is using psytrance and traditional rituals to bring spiritual awakenings and help society as Terence Mckenna said. BTW, isn't a sadhu supposed to get a different name. How is he still using Gil? Anyway, Terence Mckenna was an advocate of using psychoactives in nature that shamans have been using for thousands of years, so we don't need to study their dangers. We know they are safe. He would use psilocybin Mushrooms and the Shamans of Mazatec Indians as an example. Goa Gil uses LSD. LSD has not been used by shamans for thousands of years. And, in my opinion, is a very bad ethneogen. LSD rarely creates loss of Ego and it's more of a bad amphetamine. Have you ever thought were indestructible on LSD? Have you ever had insecure and negative thoughts about yourself? Have you ever had a spiritual awakening like mushrooms? All LSD is good for is having energy to keep up with the full on relentless trance music. Goa Gil's choice of LSD as a catalyst should tell you his intentions. It is not natural for humans to dance for seven days in a row, also it is not natural for a DJ to be able to mix for that long or have enough good music. This overextended ability to dance coupled with his nonstop music playing should tell you he is not interested in healing you...he is just the King of the Hippies with an Ego as big as his scheme. He is a Sham, a shame, but not a shaman. He is a con artist not a musical artist. Someone show me proof that Gil is a real Shaman. Did you know there are 4-5 million shamans in India? So how hard could it be to become one? And, if DMT can produce a deeper and stronger spiritual experience in 15 minutes, Why LSD? and Where is this LSD coming from. It doesn't grow out of cow shit. Mushrooms would be much more believable in a country where the cow is sacred and it shit must be sacred. And mushrooms growing out of cow shit must also be sacred. And that is where the phrase "Holy Shit" comes from. And please don't mistake my rambling as all statements. Many are actually questions. So, please correct me when I am wrong. IDK, I am tired. Help me out with your knowledge of the Sadhu. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZM2u6LaobA
  21. Sorry Time Trap --is it okay if I call you that. I really like your alias. Very Yin/Yang. Anyway, I am sorry. I did not mean to snap at you. That was my Danish side? (Lars von Trier) I apologize, psyncerely. I made that up. Sorry, I am an ass, sometimes. I still think that it is important to be straightforward and honest. I see a word of people that lie all the time. The corporate and government scumbags will always deny. But, the denial that I am concerned with is the other 99% that have no clue, don't want to know, or actively deny the complete absence of humanity. There is an ideal that most believe because if one person can accomplish it, then it makes everything okay. For example, the whole American Dream thing. This does not and has never existed. Yet the idea is that if you are in America, you have the same opportunity to become wealthy as everyone and it is up to you. Then, this idea is made real by exploiting some poor inner city kid that becomes a pro sports star. That is the American dream come true. Wrong. That is an anomily and no matter how hard someone works to become successful. It is rarely because of honest determination based on merit. Look at the richest people in the World. Do they come from the ghetto? No, they are from wealthy families and they usually lied, cheated, and unethically manipulated their wealth. Sorry again, check this out. Tell me what you think of Goa Gil after this. Remember, he can't DJ. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=evFnW7isihs sorry about my reply, again. I really look forward to chatting with you. Especially, since we have much in common (psychedelics, music, humans), And I would like your input on my theory that the DJ is responsible for the music that is produced. So I spontaneously attempted to save the music by mixing the dj back. It is raw and no headphones. one tiny unintentional whoops. But , I am sure it bothers me more than anyone else. But, I would be as guilty as Gil if I didn't admit it. and at least I corrected it...uncommon shaman
  22. So, this is totally legitimate: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=evFnW7isihs
  23. The only thing we can do is honor ourselves and our quality of life. That means, free access to any tool that gives us the best experience possible. Sometimes that tool is a stereo, a headphone splitter, two headphones, 2CB, and Simon Posford, and of course a friend's bathroom. I have been to those wannabe Goa parties and I look around and I am disgusted. First, there are hippies. There are super weak set designs that force you to take some mind altering substance. Not to trip off it. Just to escape. And then if there is a time you want to dance, you are constantly elbowed and your dance space is taken over by some spaztic hippie that never stepped in the space you were until you started dancing. These Jacob's Ladder looking demons don't attempt to apologize, or even make you visible. Now, am I the only one that has had this experience? And the DJ has pretty much been replaced by an automated non-stop barrage of the most full-on psy-trance that is only mixed in the same sense an ipod shuffle cross-fades the end and beginning of each track, and this goes on for at least twelve hours. I have recently hypothesized that the DJ is to blame for the far less good music today. If the DJ does not present the music in a way that makes the music better, he is not doing his job. Or her job. The rhetoric of Goa Gil that the music is so good by itself the mixing or beatmaching is not really important is insulting to the composer, the DJ, and the audience. This music is multi-layered, but I can prove that proper mixing will bring your appreciation to a whole new level. This role of the DJ is intrinsic to the quality of the music that is released. If a DJ only plays full on psy, one after the other. What do you think is going to be produced. Exactly what most of you have been complaining about. So, if my theory is correct, this again is not my own experience. Also, I can use the same full on tracks and mix them in a way that does not make them predictable, and monotonous. The way a DJ mixes varies and is great, but rarely, have I witnessed the same mixing of music with any other scene. Does Doc Martin, mix like that. Does DJ Dan? Does Fatboy Slim? Carl Cox? Now, this mixing drives the audience toward a certain direction, it gives the composer more ideas, and the music evolves. And this is because mixing is a way to mutate the music without actually changing it. So, some mutations don't thrive as others and as natural selection works, the better mutation is passed on. Does this make sense? So, you can't blame the artists/composers if they have no way to understand what the audience wants, when the audience is allowing the DJ to represent them. I do agree that the DJ as a Shaman has validity. But, what kind of spirit quest involves dishonoring the music and its potential. It's like the shaman is using the cow shit instead of the mushrooms that grow out of it. Please check out my new mix on sound cloud. It is totally spontaneous, raw. and no headphones. Just this idea of a true shaman saving Psytrance by mixing it back to life. . It is raw and i had an unintentional metal-on-metal peck . I think that is permissible with a freestyle no-headphone mix. Of course I would polish it up if it were going to be commercialized. Again, that is not the point. The point is that a shaman can't traverse spiritual realms with headphones, the EM pulse would destroy them. No, The whole Hinduism trend in Goa was a huge mockery of the followers of the faith. The idea of recreating the Goa experience is not a bad one. The problem is that you really can't. The idea of decorating a party with fluorescent tapestries of Hindu symbols and a black light. Then burning incense. And wearing some trinket or clothing that has more Hindu symbols. This is blasphemous. This is atrocious. "Sticking feathers up your ass does not make you a chicken." Tyler Durden. Trying to pay tribute to what occurred on the beaches of Goa, as if it was some miracle of human spiritual enlightenment. The likes of which can't be experienced. This is complete nonsense. And, I can use my own experience to explain it. Most of you have had the same experience. I took 3.5grams of lab grown shrooms in my dorm room in college. I walked, somehow, downstairs toward the parking lot. I stopped, looked down at the paved walkway, looked up and saw a full moon, Then a bolt of lightning exploded from the moon and went straight through the top of my head to the pavement and it grounded me. That was awesome. I can't describe it. But, I don't go to parties and put up moon tapestries and have paved walkways everywhere and a dormitory in the background. I don't have stun guns for everyone. And, I certainly don't have lab grown shrooms. Wait there was no music. You get my point. Everyone experiences spiritual awakenings differently. And the uncalled for and presumption of using those novelties is even more insulting to the audience. I dream of being able to share my experiences with others as I did. But, we don't have the technology and using stage props is insulting. My idea for a party is to match the vibe with the vision. This music is highly advanced. So, I would naturally want the most advanced technology to create the visual aesthetic. And I would want the best sound system possible, The best DJ possible if you are serious about the music. And, the people would not be elitist, rude, snobs that do not represent an advanced society. Oh, one more thing. If you want to do drugs, they also must be the best, pure un-cut only. And, you can openly do them. If you want beer, well you have to drink quality, that means no coors light or other shit. I personally wouldn't mess with beer or alcohol until the after party. That calls for bloody Mary's and benzos. And, sure you can get a coffee. But, I would like something a little stronger. How about some fat rails of uncut escobar? Or whatever. If you don't want drugs, you are not pressured. And, massage tables. You can use them with your girlfriend or boyfriend or you can get a professional one. Whatever style you want. Happy endings are required. NO Violence, hostility, resentment, jealousy, insulting or harming others because an advanced society uses relevant emotions and love of life and our home(earth) makes this easy. So, that is what I believe this music deserves. IMO. Thanks for reading and sorry in advance if I have offended anyone.
  24. Wait a second...did you listen to this after reading my conversation with OOOD? You know the one where I told them that from a Dj's viewpoint, their debut LP on Cabbage was over shadowed by the flood of Flying Rhino, Matsuri, Dragon Fly Releases and that the Kundalini Alias that was released at the same time as their EP, Snake/Kundalini had hurt the distribution of it. However, Unconsious Collective's EP on Flying Rhino was Awesome and I had no Idea that U.C. was an Alias of OOOD? Either way, there are no coincidences. However, I don't know why their focus was on my not politically correct viewpoint and yet they failed to appreciate the enormous compliment I had given them for this EP. Unless, I have somehow transcended any ego, as an artist, I would forget anything but the compliment. In a nutshell my rambling went like this: Yeah that sucks about your debut blah...blah...blah.... however, holy shit that release from U.C. was one of the vinyl that I bought, it was awesome. I had no idea that was OOOD. If the tables were turned, they could have berated me for two pages, but one sentence that stated my dj mix, especially @ ___ blew me away. That would have made the other two pages disappear like novelty ink. Don't yo agree? T. Viz (that's your hip-hop alias) This was the one I bought in 1996. It is much better for a DJ than a compilation or LP. I like Synchronicity Converger, more.
