  1. or was i just taking to much acid

hey man, don't blame it all on the drugs :P

I'm sure you are refering to the mix which started with ambient galaxy and then dancing galaxy was mixed in it. The name of the set is Astral Projection vs MFG - Nintrance Megamix.

EDIT: and now that you reminded me of it, i did a small search and here it is --> http://kierf.net/music/

  2. Imo, it's hardly a best of compilation, lacking tracks like land of freedom, rezwalker etc. Seems like easy money to me.

And generally, i think it's better to just give away such old tracks for free.

    That's just me though

  3. High expectations are the cause of disappointment... luckily I don't think this will be any good, so perhaps I could be surprised!

Well, i don't think this is the case. This is a really bad album. Every track is a full-on bassline and an lead on top. nothing more. I wasn't expecting to like it, but i wasn't expecting it to be that bad.

You will be surprised alright ;)

  4. What i would like to see more often is videos like Son Kite - Live in Tokio. It has many trippy stuff happening and not the same fractal/sci-fi things all the time.

Especially the part where the leopard-girl dances to the rythumn of the track, is quite a bit of good work. One of the best music videos i've seen.

You should definetely check it out ;)B)

  5. now that gets my stamp of approval. brilliant stuff! :)

haven't heard vanessa mae and spyweirdos though, danke for the tips.

    Parakalo ;)

You should definetely check Spyweirdos - For Children to play. They create a unique melancholic atmosphere. I think they 've released a new album recently.

I put Vanessa Mae in the tracklist just to be more diverse. You 've never heard of the famous violin player ?

  6. Well, i've burned a cd as a present for a friend a while ago. It was a kind of experiment actually as she has no connection with electronic music at all. I tried to put a few more mainstream tracks which might have caught her attention better. Anyway, heres the tracklist :

    abfahrt hinwil - of 1

    Secede - Leraine

    Ulrich Schnauss - Monday Paracetamol

    Spyweirdos - No Eye Banda

    Vanessa Mae - Night Flight

    Sasha - Cloud Cuckoo

Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (feat. Carla Werner)

Chicane - Saltwater (The Thrillseekers Remix)

    Vangelis - Rachels Song

  7. Really nice movie, enjoyed it a lot.

Btw, the scene were Charlie tries to punch a guy, but he counters it, and pushes him away with an invisible force saying the words "Om Shanti", is one of the funniest ever. :P

And heres the tracklist from the ending titles. I couldn't identify one track.

    X-Dream - Psychomachine

    Infected Mushroom - Overload(Deedrah Remix)

    Z - Uncle Mavis

    Eternal Basement - Ride On

  8. This album is excellent ! It's one of my personal favourites.

Especially track 2, Qi Qong, is a masterpiece. Even some of my friends, who don't listen to this kind of music, admited it is one of the most atmospheric tracks they 've heard. This happened after i put it on the car stereo, on a late night drive.

All the other tracks are great also. I love how Sazanami starts relaxed and then the rhythm catches up.

    Check it out!

  9. Hehe I wanted to reply again with this answer, Chi-A.D. - Exit eternity, I think we'll never hear such trance again, this track got paradise in it, it's a real beauty, at about 4.30mn comes the best trance moment ever in a goa track. This track is 100% trance, in all its essence, even LSD by Hallucinogen (to tell the truth I prefer Shamanix, Angelic particals...), Mahadeva by Astral projection, or Maia by Pleiadians are far from this track In My Humble Opinion.

Chi-A.D, respect. I think this track will never be equalled.

    I totally, 100% agree :D

I have known this track for many years, it was always one of my favourites. A few months ago, i put it on my mp3 player and went to sleep. I tried in my head to "distinguish the sounds and patterns".But, WTF!!! After years of listening to psy, i was surprised that i couldn't easily do that with Exti Eternity.

By far, one of the most complex, melodic, well-executed tracks. If theres such a thing as a perfect track, than this is as close as it gets.

  10. This Diablo 2 soundtrack is sooo good! I'm listening it right now and wonder where did the other file, hl-track_13.mp3, came from?

When I listened to your sample toru.mp3 I was not particularly impressed, but when I downloaded the soundtrack in the meantime and found out in which context the track appears (didn't bother to check the ID3 on your sample) and listened to it with the whole context and wasteland/desert Diablo 2 atmosphere fully loaded in my consciussness I was completely blown away. I don't remember but I think I even cried a bit. I was like: ^_^

    Long live Matt Uelmen! :)

Thanks for the answer in advance  :P

Sorry, i have no idea of the other samples origin. These samples were given to me by another guy who was looking for similar tracks. I will ask him about it, but it might take some time.

  11. you can aluo check aout AMEN by astral projection, some tracks are really nice, no matter that most people bash the album.

I agree. Astral Projection - Heavens Gate from the album Amen is an excellent track. It is so light that you feel the sounds floating around you. I always play it on those magnificent summer days, especially when i'm driving by the beach.
