  1. Yes I totally agree. But who knows, this poll might be fun to atleast someone out there(?)
  2. Intellectual masturbation. Whatever. I think it's good to define genres. This way it's easier to describe what you like and find more of the same...
  3. Ok, I'll check them Jannis (Filty)
  4. Yep, I agree. There's both Psychedelic Goa Trance and plain Goa Trance. I prefer Psychedelic Goa Trance (new school and old school artists), it's more twisted still melodic. Don't know what to call Electric Universe, Fractal Glider, Psydrop or Talpa though. Full-on with Goa influences?
  5. Perhaps, I don't know (or care). I really can't (or couldn't) put the finger on exactly what made these my favourite clubtrance tracks. Maybe it's a mixture of several aspects why I find these tracks better then Tiesto and other clubtrance tracks. Just my recommendations. I just hope there are more people like me out there finding these tracks above others and appreciating that I share my list with them
  6. Ok, I just added this reply in the "Tiesto Trance" thread. But thought it might be a good idea to add it in this, my old thread aswell. I found it very hard to find these over-the-top-edge-awesome-stuff that I do know exists. Anyway, I've have been listening through several GBs of clubtrance the latest weeks and.. tadaa.. Here it is, for everyone to enjoy -> My -> B E S T O F C L U B T R A N C E recommendations: 1. Airbase – Emotion 2. Airbase - Genie (Michael Splint Vs. F & W Remix) 3. Airscape - Sosei (F & W Remix) 4. Alphazone - Revelation (Original Mix) 5. Blank & Jones - Coming to Life 6. Climax 69 - First Contact (Club Mix) 7. Iio - Smooth (Airbase Remix) 8. JamX & DeLeon - Mind Made Up (Rank 1 Remix) 9. Shane 54 - Equinoxe 4 (Original Mix) 10. Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown (G & M Project Remix)
  7. I made a clubtrance thread here not too long ago. Inquiring good clubtrance music since I find it very hard to find these over-the-top-edge-awesome-stuff that I do know exists. Anyway, I've been listening through several GBs of clubtrance the latest weeks and.. tadaa.. Here it is, for everyone to enjoy -> My -> B E S T O F C L U B T R A N C E recommendations: 1. 8. Well, atleast I see a remarkable difference between me saying that I dislike metal bands as a genre (and Iron Maiden) and someone naming a person (bandname) that he or she hates (or that he or she hates this persons music that is). The huge difference is between a worldfamous group like Iron Maiden and a minor newcomer (no disrespect meant saying so) frequently visiting this forum.
  9. You did say "hate filteria", that's what I mean about not being humble or act appropriate in different situations. What I said mostly goes for people in general though so please don't take it so personally.
  10. About the bashing... Most people are assholes. Yea, it's a fact. Most people doesn't know how to be humble or act appropriate in different situations. SO... If something has turned from "opinion" to "hate" it's likely it's something not even worth paying any attention to at all. Let them be assholes. As simple as that.
  11. Pleiadians/Etnica AND Crop Circles. Infact I like Crop Circles even more then Etnica.
  12. I take my vote back. I totally love Parasite but my first impressions of Digital Mandala lasts after having heard it a couple of times more. Not my cup of tea at all... So very uninspiring.
  13. Fractal Glider rocks. Favourites are Witch Doctor and Raspy Honks, I like most of the tracks from Parasite. Didn't find the latest album equally good, maybe need to listen to it once more. By the way: What's not to like about Fractal Glider? If you like oldschool that is.
  14. Yes, Cosmic Experience is one of the best albums released the last couple of years. Also try: Psydrop - Fantasy Seeds (Even better then Cosmic Experience imo) Talpa - The Art of being Non Fractal Glider - Parasite No one mentioned Filteria - Sky Input?
  15. No problem mate This is not a whole song but a "teaser" maybe this wasn't obvious since the teaser is almost 6 minutes long? If so, I appologize if it caused any misunderstandings. Maybe it explains some of the issues you mention? It's fragments of the complete song so certain parts are completely left out in this snippet.
  16. Thanks for your comments. I'm beginning to wondering if it's all about a matter of taste. I will check out the sync a bit more and I know that all sounds aren't 100% mixed properly together but it simply can't be as bad as what you are saying, can it? I like it pretty much the way it is already. And I like it a lot too. Well, I'll upload a new version as soon as I have had the time to fix the sync issue.
  17. I'll smoothen it up tomorrow
  18. Ok, I promised to post here again when I had more new tracks finished. So here it is: "War of the Worlds" http://www.ahlgrendesign.com/halosian/halo...rlds-teaser.mp3 Or download at my website: http://www.halosian.tk
  19. Front Line Assembly has always been one of my favourites ever since I discovered them in the beginning of the 90s. And FLA is one of few bands that has become even better ever since (Try the album Epitaph). Delerium and Semantic Spaces really blew me away when I got the album 94. But my favourite Delerium is Karma, one of my favourite records. It's so beautiful, highly recommended!
  20. Mind.In.A.Box They released this years best album (so far anyway) called "Dreamweb". Dreamweb places multifaceted electronics, diversity, and harmonized vocals squarely in the foreground. Behind the fragile mix of techno, electro, and ambient lies a wealth of expressive power and emotion that reveals itself only through careful, multiple listenings, like a fine painting that leaves room for interpretation, divulging its beauty piece by piece. Check out my review here: http://www.movinghands.net/reviews/detail.asp?id=925
  21. There are some downloads at my place: http://www.halosian.tk Yet another track is to be added and finished this week. Other "new" must-haves with a "goaish" sound: Fractal Glider - Parasite Psydrop - Fantasy Seeds Electric Universe - Cosmic Experience Talpa - The Art of Being Non
  22. It was nice, but not new... I remember already in the mid 90s of an act called Sky Scrapers, anyone remember them? They played here in Sweden then so I heard them on the radio. The gig was broadcasted by the swedish radiostation and program P3 LIVE. I really liked Sky scrapers, it was a special feeling to it even if it had a very high BPM. Anyone who knows if they released any albums?
  23. LOL.. The old cliché resurrects (that's old thinking by the way)... I don't give a f..k if everything isn't 100% live as long as it sounds good. And what about choosing and creating your own sounds, does rock artists do that? Not in the extention of what trancecomposer does anyway. And then you also need to combine all the right sounds in a song, wonder if rockartists are the best to do this? Not a chance... I'd say there are better psy-trance musicians then rock artists. Because good musicians is not how you do it live. But how you managed to create a certain song. I'd say it takes more effort "pressing the play button" (LOL) then fiddling a guitar (and a electric guitar used by Iron Maiden and the rest sure sounds shit compared to electronical sounds and that's what this thread is all about. Just wanted to analyse and compare it though, something we haven't succeded in doing here yet).
  24. I actually once in a while do enjoy harder "rock" like Ministry, Metallica and Panthera. Maybe it's "hard rock" (and not heavy metal or rock I do dislike so much?) Maybe bands like Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, W.A.S.P, Kiss - Rock from the 80ies is called hard rock so that it's this type of rock I can't stand..? mallesh said: "heavy mullet metal is a terrible representive for all of rocks history" - heavy mullet like in hard rock from the 80ies...? And it still sounds the same, outdated.
  25. Well I have tried for so many years to understand this music but I simply can't. And I really want to analyse it as far as possible to see if there are some elements that I can understand and maybe enjoy myself too. I can understand all music styles (more or less) except rock and metal so it's very frustrating for me. Maybe I was a bit harsh (I appologise) but it was only supposed to be a legitimed question.
