  1. Jesus man, sorry if I offended you in any way. Just wanted to know if someone else feels the way I do about this type of music and why we feel like that. PS. Your nice answer is what I always think of as a typical answer coming from a hard, cool and angry metal lover. Respect.
  2. I don't get it... What's all the fuss about rockmusic and heavy metal?? I've never understood the sound from an electric guitar. I just saw a whole Iron Maiden concert on the telli. I really, really tried to understand why so many loves this sound. ...I don't get it... It sounds so fu..in premature... It is heavy metal... Heavy?? Where? Show me... The guitarsolos sounds horrible.. I can't enjoy anything in this music, not a single sound, not even a hi hat (the drumset sounds also horrible by the way). Any psyact will have a much heavier and fatter sound. Compare the Pleiadians sounds (from which I adore) to a guitar sound... But why is it so? Why do I hate the sound from heavy metal and the instruments they uses? Anyone out there who had the same thoughts and knows the answer to that question? PS. Why do all heavy metal fans look retarded? I mean they can't even jump synchronized to the beats... Too much headbanging caused brain damage?
  3. Ok, here they are: http://www.ahlgrendesign.com/solar_factor_...ject_remix).mp3 http://www.ahlgrendesign.com/airbase_-_gen..._&_w_remix).mp3 http://www.ahlgrendesign.com/airscape_-_so..._&_w_remix).mp3
  4. That's ok I don't need a lot of answers And thanks for your suggestions, but maybe you could try and listen to the tracks I mentioned they are kind of different to the ones you suggested. More clear melodies/uplifting, hard to explain... There's a lot of clubtrance crap out there. And I know it's a matter of taste. But if you know of something that sounds similar to the ones I mentioned then please tell
  5. I have some favouritetracks: Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown (G&M Project Remix) Airbase - Genie (Michael Splint Vs. F & W Remix) Airscape - Sosei (F & W Remix) Anyone who can recommend other tracks/albums that sounds similar to that? Thanks
  6. Ok, the track is finished and here it is (as promised). This is the first time I give away a complete song so I hope you like it (still only 128k because I'd like to have it released some day). I also bought a new soundcard (my old was 6 years old) so I hope the mixing has improved: http://www.ahlgrendesign.com/halosian/halo...halosian.tk.mp3 Or download the track here: http://www.halosian.tk
  7. Sorry, I somehow mixed up Bypass Unit with Syb Unity Nettwerk which is Kris Kylven (UX).
  8. Yes UX is dark compared to most of the releases under that era. ...and what makes it a classic and one of the best Goa albums of all time is the original sound which is a very typical sound made by Peter Martin and Kris Kylven. Just look at their other projects such as Slide, Bypass Unit and Element Over Nature not many has come close to it. What can I say. I just love all their stuff. There's almost nothing like it even today.
  9. One of the best Goa albums ever made. Can't believe this one isn't redhighlighted in the reviewsection(!) Classic tracks here are: Life Support Technology Chameleon Mind Over Gravity Dominion Pure Intellect Master of the Universe Let's just say almost all tracks on this album is fantastic. Dark twisted Goa, can't get enough of it and Peter Martin + Kris Kylven sure knows how to do it.
  10. I appreciate all opinions, good and bad although I won't pay too much attention to pure negativeness (not saying anyone was only negative here). I make this music for my own sake in first hand. I wouldn't have spent so much money on equipment if this wasn't the most important reason for me since most people seemes to prefer the modern sound of psychedelic music nowadays. So if someone doesn't like it then that's ok aswell. Constructive criticism is very appreciated and so, yes, I will give the final mixdown some extra attention Ukiro. I'll get back to you hopefully already next week when the track is finished. Thanks again.
  11. Well, I don't really like the word oldschool but since I know that there are many "oldschool" likers here and since I haven't had time for doing music lately I thought I should make a post here telling that I'm currently onto a new track: http://www.ahlgrendesign.com/halosian_-_highpass_fixer.mp3 Remember this is only a sample, more teasers are available at: http://www.halosian.tk Best regards, Kristian
  12. Ukiro: I have to hand it to you. Thank god there still are som brains, logic and reasonable persons like you in theese forums nowadays. Thanks for always taking your time sharing your enlightened mind and thoughts with everyone. Besides that, you spin a lot of good music Now, enough asskissing here Keep up your good work.

    MFG

What??? When did MFG re-unite? I only heard of an upcoming Passenger album... But if there's going to be a new album... *WOW!* MFG sure is my favourites next to Pleiadians and UX/Slide. I absolutely love all their tracks from all their albums except for maybe some of them from The Message. Hope they'll continue their dark melodic stuff.
  14. Act: 1. Pleiadians 2. MFG 3. UX 4. Slide 5. Cosmosis DJ: 1. Ukiro 2-5. Anyone else playing good psy/goa and not the modern/trendy stuff.

    Etnica - Alien Protein

This is the true definition of Goatrance! This is the essence of life!
  16. At first I thought, wow, now this is something! Even something for me, an oldschool fan! There are infact some new elements of structure/variations and sound. Still, I wouldn't as perhaps many of you should, call this full on. Full on trance is for me much more intense. Just as most of the other releases also Unlimited disappoints after a while when it slips back to the todays trendy sound of trance. Some random boing-boom-crash and sudden melodylines and that's it! The most annoying with this and most of the releases today is the MONOTON bass-sequence, it's so fucking uninspiring with only two-three notes in all the tracks for the bass! I, like orkscheisse can only give it 4/10. Too soft, uninspiring, laidbackmusic.
  17. I wrote a review earlier here, and I still love this album! What I wanted to say is that if you like this one, try Fractal Gliders previous album FRAUD! Maybe it isn't as technical advanced as this but it has awesome flow like in the oldschool trance, AND YOU GET SUCH ADRENALINE RUSHES FROM IT! *TIP!* (that's what I wanna dance to at feasts - go crazy!)
  18. Boring repetitive... More like techno then trance.. I think we´ll have to mark where the line should be drawn. Else we´re soon going to have Jeff Mills/Carl Cox/Dave Clarke album reviews here on this trance site.. Fractal Glider - Parasite, this is what trance should sound like in millenia..
  19. This album is great! Oldschool and very psychedelic, full-on with nasty sounds. This is the type of trance I miss in the todays scene when everything turns to monotonie or very clubby. To be honest I prefer Tripticon before Ticon. 8/10. One more thing: I cannot understand why Children, or whoever it is, labels all thoose reviewed albums as releases from Tsunami, when it's infact Tsunami Productions based in Sweden who released many of the released albums reviewed on this site and not Tsunami in the US. Check the artist/discography-list yourself at their homesite: http://www.tsunamiprod.com (I also passed this "sentence" to Children earlier together with a review but it was totally ignored, obviously).
  20. Xervana - Samples From A Virtual Life Artist: Xervana Title: Samples From A Virtual Life Label: Tsunami Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 8'45" A New Life 02. 7'13" Specimen 03. 7'48" Frustrations 04. 9'07" Synthetic Body 05. 7'46" Neutralization Of Mind 06. 8'23" Behind The Hidden 07. 9'15" The Wicked Chosen 08. 9'24" End Of Life Review: Once I saw that Tsunami Productions was about to release a new album from a new, unknown artist, I just had to check it out considering all the great releases from that label lately. This is typical, classical Goa in the genre of Astral Projection, sometimes it even sounds almost like certain melodies was ripped of their material. Still, this is high quality trance, which is the music I first fell in love with. What really struck me is the age of the composer, only 18 years of age(!) I won't dare to imagine what he will be able to create in a few years from now... This is a very nice debut from a younger lad from Sweden. From the spectrum of Goa, psy, heading towards some more commercial liked tracks. A good use of mixed filters blending together, just as it should. Track number 3 "Neutralization Of Mind", is my favourite. Reminds me alot of Pleiadians, great stuff! The weakness of "Samples From A Virtual Life" is as mentioned earlier, the non-innovative melodies, maybe Xervana has looked too much on other artists work? The Strength is the quality of the use of sounds and melodies and are all very well composed. If you like isratrance then you should definately take a look at this album. If not, don't. I, myself still love isratrance so the choice of wether to buy this one or not was not too hard (especially nowadays when it seemes like almost everyone is going for the more monotonish, technoish, in my opinion kind of boring trance). For being only 18 years of age this is far better then Astral Projection (or anyone else for that matter). I can't imagine that anyone has succeded in producing such quality trance at that age. But still one has to bare in mind that Astral and such was pioneers in the genre and so it took some years for them to develope the Astralsound we are so familiar with today. Nowadays they are copied by many and that's not so hard when you're able to refer to thoose materials which has already been released. But if Xervana continues releasing tracks and tries to go on his own path of style, then I'm sure we will experience some extraordinary music from him in the future, the quality is already here! 7/10.
