  1. I'm booking my flight on pay-day (20th November). The thing is with these events is you can't please everyone eh. I agree that Eskimo and GMS and Infected aren't everyone's cup of tea, but lots of people do like them. I won't be shuffling my shuffles on the dancefloor when these doods are playing. But the progressive side of things seems to have a good representation (andromeda/chromosome/lish/phoney orphants/son kite/ticon/yotopia/d-nox) etc which is good enough for me. Plus experiencing an full solar eclipse is something very special. And this is gonna be a long one. I can't wait.
  2. ye the newer stuff is quite different, I'd say from Science of the Gods onwards...specifically when this album was released it was so different I was a bit 'uh-oh dunno if I like it' but I have to say it quickly grew on me and now I think it's a classic. I think you'd like some of their earlier stuff for sure, I have an EP called 'Epsylon' which is coolies, and their album 'Implant' which is also very good. I love eat static, they were the first live 'dance-act' that I ever saw, they have a place in my heart. They have an excellent live show.
  3. Is this out yet?? *checks ibogas site* I'm so out of touch lately, how did I not know about this! Aaah oki, I don't think it's out yet. Looks very interesting tho! Banel rocked at VooV this year, and iboga is my fave label
  4. bwahahahaha Oooh new digital structures release! oooh oooh!! Yesh deffo looking forward to new ticon sounds as well!! Mwah! October is looking good for new proggy releases! *noted*
  5. Oooh I never go in this section fo the forum, seek and ye shall find!! Yesh I have also once been a bit of a POTS fan, are you scientific enough has had rather of lot of listening time allocated to it! Definatly looking forward to hearing this. Fingers crossed it's fresh new progressive sounds!! HUrrah!
  6. Third drop reflection!!! Go Barrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry! This party has all the ingredients to be a really beautiful party - hope it all goes well. Shame I can't be there but there is the certain logistical nightmare of a few thousand miles between me and the location! Mwah!

    Gaudium !

I got this album a couple of weeks ago, and it is c00lio!!! Love it, haven't heard an artist album which makes me go 'mmm yesh lovely lovely' for a while, but this one did. Nice one, go and buy it people!
  8. Ok so I finally got my mittens on the electroscopic compilation - and the psychomachine rmx is quality! I was wondering whether I'd hate it, since I appreciate the original so much, but it's excellent. Cheers folks for opening my otherwise half closed eyes to this one
  9. I don't speak in slang, I talk like the queen I do. Aight.
  10. sweet, I'll add you Only have msn at home tho, not work (evil work people)
  11. Moni I should add you on my msn or something....what's your msn? Are you back online at home?? If you heard me talk I'd have a well english accent, with hints of northern-ness hehe. But I have the fear so it isn't gonna happen.
  12. I can't do all that IRC malarky, it's too much for my tiny mind and I installed that Skype thing, but that's too much for my tiny mind as well....I couldn't find any of my friends contact details. Plus I hate doing the talking thing, I don't mind the typing thing, but the talking is too wierd.....plus you'd all find out that I sounded like a man....hehe not really. Mwah!!! I can do MSN , that's about it.....
  13. Ye some fairly special parties! My first Megadog was when I was about 15 years old, I never looked back (my older brother used to take me to these parties with his friends) They started doing a 'Megadog' night up in Manchester very recently, but it's gone all acid techno - they get the likes of the Liberator Dj's and stuff like that. And I think one of the old dj's just started using the Megadog name, because I think Michael Dog doesn't have anything to do with it. *shrug*
  14. Yep - this is real old-skool hehe. Used to love Children of The Bong, and this is a real classic album. Megadog rock, my first introduction to parties were Megadog all-nighters, si anything released by them has a place in my heart. Really surprised this is still available!

  16. heaps fully shrimps on the barbie hey
  17. There's a big crew of psy-trancers in Brighton and subsequently quite a few parties happen in and around the area. Unfortunately it's getting a bit late in the day for outdoor gatherings, but there'll still be plenty of indoor parties happening. The best place to look is www.psy-forum.co.uk which has quite a well kept parties section, plenty of parties in Brighton are listed on there. Plus there are loads of people from brighton on that forum who you can ask for more info. Good luck
  18. My all time favourite x-dream track has been remixed *must get copy* cheers seraph
  19. ..........ORANGE You know, thats my favourite ever boards of canada track
  20. Rai - Groove from va - Urban Legends (Tribal Vision Records)
  21. Ye quite funny. For like 2 seconds. When every other track being dropped is some really questionable remix then it becomes quite tedious. I must have heard that 'sweet dreams' remix about a billion times this summer *yawn*
  22. oh oh oh!! In midst of 'I can't afford to buy any new music' I completely forgot about the new Mr P album! I loved his first album.....right then *makes mental note to buy new album on pay-day*
  23. bwahahahahaha good topic!!! I'd just like to say that not onLy do I think these remixes are BAD but also very WRONG! You know, there was a small, and I mean very small element of amusement when I first heard a remix, can't exactly remember which was the first I heard, but the novelty wore off even before the end of the track. I can't remember who's set it was at Boom 2004, there were a whole host of really bad sets played there, but someone managed to play a madonna remix of something (created by fatali I believe) closely followed by a DALLAS THEME TUNE REMIX!!!! This sort of thing is surely CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!!! Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! *wanders off to canteen in disgust*
  24. Ye do! Emok rocks! He's partly responsible for the Iboga record label, so I have much respect for him - Iboga being my fave label. Excellent dj Yep for sure, I think most people's introduction to psytrance is with these artists. I used to love GMS when I first discovered psy, and spent many an hour stomping the night away to artists such as this. But like you say, I think a lot of people who have been listening to psy for a while make the move over to progressive. I don't want to generalise, but this is the case for a lot of people I know. To me it always sounds fresh, not like the [controversial comment]generic sounds of other more maintream psytrance artists[/controversial comment].
