I don't see tears. I see people showing a bit of shock, and then maybe a bit of respect to others who they feel have contributed to their enjoyment of psy music. Both these people have contributed a lot to the psy scene (Beka was a huge influence in australia, amazing dj, played at festivals in Europe, had a comp on turbotrance, Parasense have also been major contributors musically,). Yes people die, that's life. But it's also natural to show a bit of emotion. Is it not human to feel a little sadness that some people that were so young, that gave so much have passed away? Meh, it's not wrong to show a little respect. I hope those who have recently left us are now having a party in the sky or something. If you don't know them, and you don't care, then maybe just not write anything at all? As with other subjects, don't post something in a thread if it is of no interest to you. Love and light x

erm doesn't that happen anyway?? I definately hear the same tunes at lots of parties and festivals....sometimes you hear the same track like 6 times at a festy. And it's usually the cheesy-psy-pop ones as well

Go to Rainbow Serpent Fesitval. I went there a few years ago and it was amazing. The aussies sure know how to party. The melbournites have a very strong party scene and have outdoor parties most weekend. Sydney also has lots of quality parties as well. Australia is a good place for parties...aaaah *reminisces* Keep your eyes on Oztrance and Australiens for up-to-date party listings

Yesh when you put them all together there's loads of labels. I generally only stick with a few labels who I know release quality tracks every time. When I click on the labels I've not heard of then most of them have only had one or two cd's released. I guess that says something about running a record label and making it continually successful. Agree with Charlie about lots of labels releasing sub-standard trance. On the one hand I think 'fair play for sorting it out and getting something released' but when it's the same old shit as released on many of the other labels then it's hardly worth it. I think if people are gonna start up a new label it needs to be something completely fresh...there's plenty of labels out there who churn out the same old same old.

Okies, so I have decided I want to see what's happening in the world of psytrance outside the realms of progressive. I've been listening to mostly just prog for ages, and I need suggestions on alternatives. Don't worry not getting bored of prog just fancy something new... I used to be well into spirallianz/midi milliz/old xdream and other artists like those and still like to listen every now and again. Also like the stuff released on digital psionics (twisted aussie stylee). But I am totally out of the loop with anything that's been released lately. So has anyone got any suggestions on what I should listen to? What's new and good??? I am quite picky, I'm not impressed with a lot of full on and I have no time for remixes of old pop tracks...
