  1. Yeah, those are the increased BPMs of course. I was going for something really fast this time, so I pitched your track and the other ones up

  3. Too bad I missed this... just from the samples, this seems to be one of the best Dark Psy compilations ever.
  4. It exists open the FX mixer, on the right you see the FX plugins that you have used listed. on the left to each plugin is an "arrow down" button. click it. In the opening popup menu, select "smart disable". As far as I know, it only works on FX plugins, not on instruments, and you have to repeat the steps for every plugin in every channel. Its an awesome function bringing me 30-50% more cpu load. If anyone knows, how to smart disable instruments let me know. edit: doh! should read the links posted
  5. He is for real. Fo Sho! Rob Papen already noticed his quality: http://www.robpapen.com/synths/blue/mp3.php others will follow!
  6. Vanguard is a lot easier than Albino yes. Plus its not so CPU intense and less bugged. But I like the sound quality of albino more, plus only Albino is capable of FM synthesis (which is used for like 90% of weird dark psy sounds). This gives you a lot more flexibilty with shaping the sound. If you learn how to do FM synthesis in Albino, theres a whole new world opening
  7. By the way, thats an awesome album you got there, from the samples so you want to make the classic psy rubber sound? You are quite lucky I made this post in another forum some time ago Here ya go: now here is the first sound I got for you: the psy "rubber" sound, made in Albino 2. example mp3: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...C8C1BD530C097C3 screenshot of the albino settings: How to do it (In Albino2) : First of all, choose two oscillators. Set the first one to "FM" and disable the "track" button on it. This will be the modulator for the second oscillator. Choose digital waveforms and set all waveforms to "sawtooth". Transpose the first oscillator 3-5 octaves higher than the second one. You can experiment with transposing one or two oscillators up and down, it will produce some very interesting results. As a filter, use a bandpass with rather high resonance and cutoff between 1000 and 2000Hz, set the "track" value to maximum. The trick is now to use an LFO to modulate the pitch of oscillator 2. Do the same with another LFO modulating the filter cutoff. Sounds cool already, huh? Try using a phaser set to 100% "wet" and inverted feedback, it will sound really spacey that way. Set the "center" of the phaser to 3000-6000 and "feedback" and "stages" to a low value. Add some long delay and reverb for extra spaciness Here is a rar file with the preset (for Linplug Albino2): http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...E7F4D9C03E5E9B8 Those links have expired, but the screenshot should give you enough help I think! If your sound is too thin in the overall mix, try using a highpass filter instead of a bandpass one.
  8. Woot! Awesome track selection again. I listened to it as a whole while playing some games, this sould work excellently as a soundtrack to Doom3 or something like that. This is another set from you I thoroughly enjoyed. Great work! Keep it up!
  9. Hey, attack of the mutants is a very nice piece of in your face dark psy. Good to see you keep it heavy and raw. It sounds dirtier than much nowadays dark psy which is sometimes a little too clean and polished for my taste. Very nice synthwork too. I'd say this is releasable your 2006 promo is very good too. Wicked basslines and nice works with FX! Good luck with your music projects
  10. Funny track. I think it was a good idea... however, as already said: The lead sound is a little cheesy. Its delay seems somehow off sync. Plus its very dominant in the overall mix, but ok since you said it was only a rough mix. Other than that, enjoyable track! Keep it up!
  11. Stalker, nice post dude For the lazy ones: Get something like the Vengeance FX sample CD, this one contains a lot of cool FX, atmospheric, wooshes, lasers, all that kind of stuff in a high quality. But yeah, its much cooler to create these FX yourself. Another funny tool, yet quite huge and expensive is X-Treme FX, which is like a FX synthie, easy to use and powerful. Still, it basically works with samples which means you cant learn how to actually synthesize your effects. if you really want to do your FX yourself: Try albino, take one of the FX presets, and then hit randomize again and again, and then try to adjust all those parameters, that way you will probably learn it best
  12. Most Goa is made in some kind of Minor Scale. "Classic" Goa scale is Hungarian Minor. As for the key, I prefer any of the black ones: c#, d#, f#, g#, a#, and I think they are the most used. To make the song stay in key, practise a lot of music theory, maybe learn to play a classic instrument. You will get your ears trained for hearing harmonies and disharmonies.
  13. Good stuff. Mixing is very solid. I like your sets so far
  14. replace the h**p with http btw Thanks for sharing!
  15. Really awesome album. Excellent review as it reflects my feeling about it quite well, I dont think I need to write mine then This album definately got something special to it, its got soul and atmosphere which seems to be lacking in many modern releases. Its like Dark Psy infused with a Hardcore/Punk attitude. Well, about the messages... while I think they are not the most intelligent ones, I still appreciate the fact that Vegetal wants the listener to actually think about his music. And of course, theres atmosphere inside... long ago since something gave me such shivers as the "Free Thinkers are Dangerous" track. Pure dark uplifting stuff, works perfectly for me!
  16. Well, you need good instruments, the ones included in FL are mostly shit or not the best for psytrance. I recommend you get some good VSTplugins like Linplug Albino or ReFX Vanguard, or z3ta+ ... they will give you some better sounds.
  17. Wow, those vocals are seriously the worst crap I've heard in a long time. I can maybe stand the track itself, but not those vocals.. OMG.
