Greeting fellow trancers! I've completed my first track since Protostar EP, released in 2011 by Underground Alien Factory Records. Despite being released in 2011, all four tracks from this EP were actually written between 2007 and 2009. So with the completion of this new track I finally ended my 3-year hiatus from music production! I will admit it's a little all-over-the-place, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. At 110 bpm it's kinda slow for Trance and kinda fast for Downtempo. It has three distinct movements - a break-beat intro, a trance movement, and a downtempo movement. Here it is: For some reason even when set to 720p YouTube really messes with the audio quality... especially in the very beginning. You picked the same parts I would have picked myself for the 2-minute samples. :-) I'm glad you didn't include the 3/4 part of Twisted Forest - this way it will catch people more off-guard when they hear it. :-D Thanks for uploading the demo to soundcloud!

This is truly beautiful music Elad!!! Forget all the people who complain that it's not Goa. So what if it it's not "true" Goa - it's amazing for what it is! You're expanding the boundaries of the genre, and I for one love it! I love your old Goa stuff too - Old Is Gold & Astral Experience. But with The Dream Master and Emotional Peaks you're really showing that you're not bound by limitations of your genre - you just write what comes to you! Keep it up!!! :-)

Does anyone out there still happen to have this on CDr? Evidently Resonant Earth doesn't make CDrs anymore... I have every other Electrypnose album and would very much like this one to complete my collection! :-) Anyone have the CDr version willing to sell it to me?

Afgin, this EP is amazing. It's like the perfect blend of new-school goa vibes with old-school melodic & uplifting trance... and beautiful piano melodies throughout as well! You're really pushing the boundaries of the genre and defining a new style here, even more than with your older releases. Every track is brilliant, I will be listening to this a lot!! Thanks for your kind words on Twisted Forest and Protostar! That's an interesting note about Protostar because I've never heard of that group or song before, so there's no way I could have "borrowed" the melody, even subconsciously! I checked the song out though, and I hear some vague similarities, but I believe my melody is quite different! The synth sound however is nearly identical, so this may be what you're noticing. I wouldn't be surprised if they used the square synth preset from the Nexus VST like I did, although we may have tweaked it slightly differently, but it really does sound VERY similar. :-)

Thank you all for your kind words! I'm glad everyone seems to like Canopy Of Sound! Yea, I know it's not particularly foresty... I drew inspiration from the concept of Forest Trance, but I tend to like much more melodic Goa myself, so I'll admit I strayed very far from the original concept. I actually just listened to the new Battle Of The Future Buddhas / Ka-Sol release last night and all I could think to myself the whole time was "Damn, I wish I was on shrooms in the forest dancing among the trees rather than listening in my living room..." Perfect timing on that comment! :-P

Inspired by Ka-Sol, Derango, Hallucinogen, etc, but much more melodic than typical forest trance: --------------------------- Uplifting Space Goa! Inspired mainly by Antares - Aurora. Although the songs don't have much in common fundamentally, I wanted to make a track with a similar enlightened and uplifting feel: --------------------------- Chilled out forest Goa... I guess. I was mainly inspired by the minimal concept of the Danish group Bufo, although they lean much more towards Psy than Goa. I guess you could say this is a more melodic and Goa-ish version of their style: --------------------------- My first downtempo Malachyte track.
