    Russia is kind of low on quality, I will agree. Overlap/Neoris is great, there is some Kindzadza I like, and then one or two songs from Fungus Funk and so on. The long-time producers Parasense have made maybe three songs that I think are good, out of literally hundreds. What's the idea there? Anyway... could be better. Deja Vu releasing 10 steaming turds in one month is not doing anything great for the ratio (though I admit I will nab the Terminator CD whenever it becomes available)...

    i don't know about the parties, but a lot of the music is fantastic!

     

    Dejavu has been releasing too much, i agree - though it's not all Russian by any means. also Vertigo and Insomnia are still top notch.. and Dejavu's early compilations like Zen and Zen 2 are still classics.

     

    and Parasense, only 3 good tracks??? wha??? tape label system, iron punk, crakakot, birdday, vodka fx, vesna, karnataka punk, crow, sony rmx, 3to kpyto, ritual of drugs.. i can keep going. they almost single handedly started the whole dark psy movement. and kindzadza made it what it is now.. but no big deal.

    i disagree, actually there's more quality russian trance, percentage wise, than from any other country, save perhaps sweden.. and ukraine, but that's because i only one ukrainian producer, Humanoid, and he rocks my world. :P

     

    but that's OFFTOPIC :ph34r: and i'm getting a bit paranoid about all those Isratrance moderators hanging around.. hope they don't ban me now :unsure:

    I have a few albums like Bug Funk and Savage Scream with some covers and all, purportedly under the label Brain Forest (or something like that)... are these guys making legit releases or is it just some fancy packaging for the promos? Anyone know if there are any more, and where these cats might be contacted?

    fancy packaging for promos, most likely.. or even a fake label that takes artists tracks and puts them out without permission.. :rolleyes:

     

    there was a big thread about it in the artists and djs section on Isratrance.. called "brainforest fake label" :ph34r:

    yes, that particular track with Simpsons samples was Penta - Past Holidays. It's from his new album called 'Funraiser.'

    oh yeah, the Penta album .. i only listened to that album once.

    dark, funky, and psychedelic is my favorite style... but i play pretty much everything, depending on the crowd and the time slot - morning psy, psychedelic full-on, even some tech and prog..

     

    and yeah.. it's my real name. i grew up outside Moscow. commie baby. :D hehe..
