1. back in the day he used to make music as Parabhamandala (killargh proto-darkpsy), and then suddenly stopped as well. so perhaps he will emerge as something entirely new, again?

    would be sweet.

  2. Thanks for having played it!

  3. The Goal

Our goal is to inspire participation from promoters, clubs, artists,

musicians and peace-lovers worldwide to dedicate one day to support

humanitarian efforts and help unite people from all nations in a day

of peaceful celebration and harmony. This year we are expanding the

circle to include anyone interested in world peace.

We are inviting artists, jewelers, craftsmen, and anyone that would

like to sale their wares; we request that what you sell be handcrafted

(the exception being prints of original art works).

  4. um dj's usually pitch the tempo down to suit the rest of their set.

    so it was probably slower.

    600869

erm, it was played at a moderate 156 bpm that particular night. also i've heard it played before at the full 160, and danced like crazy.

  5. Same here!

Very good psychedelic trance, but clipping from too much gain at the mixer :(

got this problem with some lives / djs... but never too bad :)

    (ear problems?  )

    594911

I heard the Boom fest story from Quasar himself - he said some idiot ran up to the stage near the beginning of his set and said he 'wanted to play a little' - i guess he was able to tweak some stuff in the controller before the security got to him, and it fucked up Quasar's soundcard - he played a live set in the US the following weekend and he had to borrow Mubali's soundcard because his was constantly clipping.

back on topic - i think it's a very nice album, it's not 'dark psy', it's more twisted fast psychedelia. honestly i prefer his other alter ego (with Dylalien) - The Fractal Cowboys, their live set is just fucking unbelievable. album should be coming soon...

  6. check futuristic dark psy like Horror Place, Jellyheadz, Quasar, Penta, Polyphonia, etc.

    real psychedelic, fun music..

Paranoize and Nexus are pounding and minimal, more industrial than psychedelic, imo.

  7. the Dickster and Prometheus tracks are nice.. Hallucinogen is decent also.. but overall, it's not all that special.

    just as I expected. <evil laughter here>

actually, if you're looking for that similar style of crunchy heady full-on dancefloor psytrance, I think the Commercial Hippies latest album is much superior to this v/a.

  8. i have heard somewhere that it is best to invest more money on your cd players.

you can upgrade your mixer on the way as become bettermit will cost you less that upgrading the mixer!btw i dont know the price of the mixer, just assuming that its a lot better than the cdj'100!

    remember:

    crap in ---> crap out

    520344

great CD players + crappy mixer = crappy sound

crappy CD players + great mixer = good sound

all the CD decks above a certain basic standard are pretty similar, in my experience. Not all of the mixers are.

  9. I'll be more than glad to get rid of all the Doof CDs that accidentally landed on my shelf.

    Bonky - Bonky (Doof Records)

    Jocid - Jocid (Doof Records)

Various - Electric Shock Treatment (First Session) (Doof Records)

Various - Electric Shock Treatment (Second Session) (Doof Records)

    517249

i would have, a year or two ago.. now it's all a bit old ;)

  10. i guess the rest of the crap that I *would* post here I just don't even bother listening to... Utopia, Compact, Chemical Crew...etc.

    516893

I've found some outstanding tracks on both Utopia and Compact labels.. you have to sift through a lot of crap, but i find it worthwhile in the end.

as for the topic - there are a lot of albums i would never recommend. most recent that comes to mind is the new Future Prophecy cd.
