  1. I personally think these shows look neat... some event promoter really needs to just talk to these guys and ask them about doing a unique live set with just the two.. like headlining a big open air that is full of OTHER good psy.. like ozora or something...... they could really gain some fans back by doing something like that and then they could continue on there journey of playing huge vip shows for the lame. i guess it would probably actract too many of the lame.. still seems possible and FUN!!
  2. yes yes.. but its his objectives and mindset that are so so so beyond most people.. just that vibe makes the music tickle me even more

    Hol Baumann - Human

    This cd is WONDERFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. for what its worth i find this album AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! and yeah sure its a bit repetitive.. but this is f'n psyTRANCE lol.. sure some great writers and musicians can take us on a journey with different ideas and sounds.. but usually that is on the chill side for me. to me (coming from a progressive metal/rock background) ALL TRANCE IS ON REPEAT!!! and even considering i love it !!! to me its just how well that repeated sound is made! and these guys are def. on the intelligent/creative side of things if you ask me. I give it a 9 for a "psytrance" album.. and a 6 for a "peice of music"..
  6. i love the war remix!! c'mon guys... this is made for FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree.. the album is cheese.. but, I had some friends over the other night... played painted doves from the last album and some other full-on and they actually danced around.. then I elevated the set with alien mental and other 150bpm and half of them left lol soo.... in other words depending on who is reading this you either need this album or should never even hear a single sample cept for the war remix!!! everyone should listen and smile.. seriously why not?????? its friggin WAR :posford:
  7. agreed.. although I'm finally starting to get the "cheese" reference.. the first track is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but does anyone like kick me up? because that was the second psy album I heard and even now after pinning my favorites as electrypnose, dark nebula, prometheus, carbon based lifeforms and androcell... (whom all I beleive are breaching the genius level of psychedelic production) I still find kick me up a GREAT album.. this album here though just makes me wonder what they are thinking?? is there really an audience for this kind of stuff anymore?
  8. I personally love this album... I can see where the mastering could be sweetened up, but I have listened to it on my entry level studio monitors, cheap headphones and some nice entry/reference towers and a/v receiver and it never sounds "bad" so what I mean is.. for free this album is great! :clapping: I love how they have fused lots of influences.. I know lots of chillout artists throw glitchy parts in or some dnb type stuff but the one song on this album like that almost blows my mind.. almost.
  9. Hello! My name is Ben and I am 21 and live in the middle of the united states. Here I have only seen one psy show.. it was Hallucinogen 6 hours away at an IDM festival with lots of dirty people.. Simon was amazing. Point being: THE LINEUP OF OZORA and AURORA is BLOWING MY FING MIND!! so.. I'm looking for a friend to help me make it through this once in a lifetime journey.. I would be travelling alone.. and to Europe for the first time. Tickets to Budapest were over 1000 usd I beleive.. so what I am thinking is that I see many people comeing from different places like UK etc.. so maybe it might be simple or safe for me to meet there and then just tag along the same travel route you take.. If anyone is doing both festivals.. please.. reply or email me asap as I will need to start booking flights and getting passports asap. I am a very open person and love almost nothing more than psychedelic music. I'm not wealthy at all.. the trip will break me.. but if gas/rental car fees are needed I can equally split! thanks for your time PEACE
  10. ok.. so i had to join (after lurking for over a year) to comment this!! I am always, always thinking of this.. but i have not production skills and little patience.. and zero peers that are into it. SO dnb and psy being my two favorite electronic genres I have always waited to find a good mash!! I would say these are great starting points... but I'm hereing only a few layers!! I would suggest throughing it down soumi style with this type of thing.. ScatterSplatter is def. my fav so far... but still IMO there could be much more variance, I mean you have bassnectar as a friend and live in the bay?? i think lol? so you have seen him live right!! so sick, just mash it!! it doesnt have to have the same dnb kick through the whole song.. through some rolling lines in or some more breaks, DEF more samples of "trippy" shit.. most of all, dont listen to anyone else cause its your project!! but as far as hard/heavy goes.. its a feeling, like internal organs getting smashed.. for dnb I would check evol intent... I know counterstrike, gein, mumblz, current value, the sect, limewax.. they are all hard...........but when i listen to EI newest album era of diversion I get this distinct vibe like HOLY FcK.. I think you should listen to some metal with a very distinct "hard & heavy" production technique and see if you get this feeling.. obviously black sabbath... (also Snares black sabbath mixes are good too) then there is necrophagist, cephalic carnage, aborted: goremaggedon.. and probably the heaviest metal I have Blood Red Throne: Monument of Death SO SO SO far from psy.. BUT! why not?!?!? just mash it?? and dont forget to keep it "trippy" lol basically just more bass lol
