  1. thanks a lot, i was using this list of the psychil best when i was going to sleep, but now, the list is done in one box!!! thanks, really helpful

bwale, i agree with your choice

    but you dont love shpongle???

okay i have to mention my favorite compilation and of the best record psychill ive listen in my life: va: midnight soul dive http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ale/ale1cd007.html its made by aleph zero, it feautures bluetech, rena jones, vataff project, omnimotion, hibernation, unnocupied, cord, elves, all BIG names, and its really really nice, better for me then any VA, apart from natural born chillers. anyways you have to tchek it out.

i dont personally loves all of those artist, but its like they took the best song from vataff, or hibernation, or cord, and pu amazing relaxing song from the best, and did this, its a classic for me

ill add Flexe - Programmable Love Songs Vol. 1

  2. really, i firmly disagree with you abasio. okay yes, classic'S are more complicated, but really, no one write nowadays like volatire, or moliere

and no one makes poetry lie bodelaire

i dont know, im in art and letter in school, so maybe i really like complicated stuff, but for me, only adventures story are fun, but nothing more, while classics are achievments of a life time, i dont know...

  3. I tried to read "A la recherche du temps perdu" by Marcel Proust. It was very difficult, with very long describing passages. They were well written IMO, but it takes a special state of mind to enter the book universe. I stopped after 200 pages or something.

I think I'm not ready yet for big classic reads. And I never really tried very old ones...

its SOOOOO good tough, but i didnt read to whole collection lol
  4. I really hate when someone makes an album that's got some good tracks and some crappy tracks.

I really hate how most of the pop music listeners just listen to the hit songs and never listen to 95% of the other stuff released along with them.

I always listen to a CD from the start to finish unless it's too boring or bad and I have to shut it off early.

So yea, bad tracks are important to me. And there are a handful of albums that have no bad tracks, and all great tracks... those are what I consider the top albums.

but theres a difference between pop listeners that buy an album to only listen to one songs and an album with 6 good songs, and 3 bad... no?

and you only listen to album from start to finish? you have the time for that? you never just put stuff on shuffle? for me, really not lots of artist im abvle to listen to an whole album without getting tired of him... so with the way you listen to albums, i understand, but really, dont be to harsh on you if you put songs you like on artist that made some boring song

poor u, must be hard, so lets say you want to listen to and the day turned to night.. you have to listen to the whole album? hahaahhaaahaha

  5. and im really surprised almost no one mention Wisp or the flashbulb or even venetian snares or even plaid and mostly almost no one mention kettel? WTF!! I agree with mostly every psychill best of, or mostly ambient best of. but as for idm, i know almost every artist you named, but i just cant understand that you will put some okay artist, that have done okay album, over the flashbulb, wisp, kettel, autechre, plaid and bola and venetian snares

i cant help to wonder that maybe its because you haven't listen to the flashbulb, wisp, kettel, autechre, plaid and bola, venetian snares.

anyways, im just saying this because i think some of you should go listen to those artist, and see for themselves if really, they dont like it, because i suspect that some of you might not have listen to everything ive listen, so you might love your list, but really find something that would suit you in my list. and im saying that without thinking that my taste is better or anything, im saying that to make sure that you give it a try.

i hope no one will get all frustrated and saying to me things like taste is taste, and grow up...

so... go have a look at all wisp and kettel releases for huge harmonic idm, the new wisp is simply one of the best albums i have come across, but really, wisp is growing up on me really fast, im listening to this guy everyday, and i just cant get enough. and kettel for me its the posford of electronica,

for more aggressiveness: try flashbulb :kirilian selection and venetian snares:detrimentalist.

I hope im not loosing my time, and actually some people will really dig my suggestion and mostly take the time to go look for themselves

  6. Rofl!

Loraine was the 1 decent track as far as I got it...... because the first half had a catchy melody if I remember.

Having 1/2 a good track and a lot of shitty tracks doesn't make an album good to me though....

you always seem to need every song to be good, just like when you talk about ishq or CBL, otherwise, you dont love the artist

not because ishq made some pretty weird song, it doesnt mean that he is not amazing. even bob dylan have made song that sucked

1 completely amazing song(...and the day turned to night) destroy 1000000 good songs imo

so if you take friday fall and lerraine and born under... only those 3 songs are better then the whole discography of a lot of psy artist

what, if an artist like CBL made some boring song, it destroy every good songs they did before? they are less of a good artist? I can not think of ONE perfect album from start to finish.

jimmy hendrix is not a good guitar player because he did some pretty harsh solo's?

and Flaubert is not an amazing writer because he did too admn long description in Madame Bovary?

  7. It's unbelivable nobody mentioned yet Saafi Brothers - Mystic Cigarettes

It's definately the best psyambient album for me.

Ive got added that im not a fan of this style. I prefer way more "ibiza lounge" style than psymabient :)

every song from them that i heard on various compilation are amazing, i have to look for this album, but I always forget
  8. other than few tracks Shulman sounds pretty average psychill to me  production wise it's great, but it doesn't age well if you know what i mean!

i agree with that, but other song for me are really masterpieces, like the invention songs from his last album, but i know, i love his masterpieces, but i dont want to listen to it agin
  9. bon iver his first album: he made that, alone with a guitar in the wood, just after his girlfriend dumped him

    tori amos little earthquake

paula cole lovelight and her first album but really, nietcheiz eye one of the most beatiful song ive listen

the cranberries: i will always and mostly all the first album

    the cure: disintegration

dave matthews band: pay for what you get, prodest monkey, crash

joni mitchell: river and her album blue

bob dylan: of course! all along the watchtower

peter gabriel: in your eyes and red rain

i feel shitty saying that, its so ketaine, but city and color: im coming home

    ween: the argus

pearl jam: black, corduroy, the album ten

    nick drake: mostly everything

the best guitar player imo, micheal edges: woman of the world

    gentel giant: aspirations

choke: numb phase, its arch tough

for now thats what i remember

samshing pumpkin: disarm, i know, we heard it too many time

and sometime, pop music makes me cry haha

Those are all songs i already cry over, but not every time i listen to it

nothing from goa really, crying over goa, its like crying over an horror movie, doesnt go together for me

  10. Are You Shpongled? is THE psychill album and Tales of the Inexpressable is an amazing album too and of course the magnificent Crystal Skulls tracks and naturally the Remixed album too.

But no, Shulman just doesn't do it for me :P

okay fiou! no cause for me, some song from shulman is not that far from shpongle, for me, shulman is the second best sound manipuler out here
  11. i'm actually a bit surprised nobody else seems to like Legiac, it's rather experimental by all means, but i think he manages to handle the chaos and storm of things quite well with something that makes sense in the end. It was very revelatory for me. Not mention the artwork (mings feaner) is literally out of this world

i wasnt able to finish his album
  12. Kangding Ray is also a talented artist more glitch, experimental or minimal than idm but you must give a listen

    here some vids

its sOOOO boring imo, you have to tell me what song are a masterpice in his recent record!?!
