1. All the pre-orders have been shipped, so the release is really out now. The delays are really the fault of the pressing plant, they promised something they could not deliver in the first place. We trusted them and got f****d but lesson learned. We couldn't deliver for Xmas but on the 7th we shipped all the CDs to the loyal customers that pre-ordered, and in a matter of days the release will be out, on bandcamp for streaming and youtube too. So everyone will be able to listen and make up his mind about the tracks. I am completely satisfied of the final product and hopeflly you'll be too :) Thanks for the trust and support! PS: we were delayed by one month, not really that much if you ask me, considering it took us years to find the music and get agreements with all of the artists ;)
2. Hello Everyone, here are the latest news for DAT Records ;) We are celebrating the 10 years anniversary of the label, as on the 19th of December 2008 the dream became reality and the long lost album of the Crop Circles was finally released for the first time on CD. It seems incredible and just like yesterday when I have started. Something that was created as the adventure of a single passionate lover of Goa Trance music became much bigger. During these wonderful years I was joined and helped by some lovely collaborators and DAT Records became a worldwide recognized label, so it’s time to celebrate now! And here in details: First: VA – Analog Visions [DATCD011] This compilation completes the wonderful Analog trilogy devoted to releasing unheard gems of the past and we truly think that this third volume is magical. DJ Draeke, with the help of DJ Solitare, has selected the best possible tracks for this release that will be a testament to an epoch that has disappeared, and is a perfect compilation to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the DAT Records label. We offer you for the very first time these unique live and alternate versions to hear how goa trance was heard at parties when artists were doing real performances on stage with a multitude of synths, tweaking and shaping tracks into spectacular versions in the moment. All the tracks appearing in this release have been tested in recent years on dancefloors all over the world, and some of them are so rare that even the producers did not have copies. It is just thanks to in-depth research that they could be located and then brought back to life with fresh mastering. As usual, the release comes with a fabulous 8-page booklet with stories and trivia about all of these spectacular tracks. For this incredible occasion we have also recovered some long sold-out special coloured jewel cases, so this release will stand out as something unique in your collection. We hope you will support the hard work behind this release that took around 4 years to bring to reality. CD Tracklist: 1. Hallucinogen - Demention (Alternate Mix) 2. Second: The Crop Circles vinyl release We haven’t announced this officially yet, neither on the webpage nor on any social media but we are taking steps toward making this release a reality. Because it’s been 10 years, and because the cd has been long sold out now, we thought of something special for each and all of you. For this I have decided to make things properly, and went back listening to all the DAT material ripped through the years from the Etnica and Lotus Omega archives plus all the other recordings found among DAT collectors and DJs of the époque. We have discovered some unreleased tracks and some different mixes of the famous released tracks of the band and we have assembled a wonderful triple vinyl release. We will master everything again from the original source files and we chose our preferred mastering engineer for this job, Jaro of Analog Dimensions who made an awesome job with all our latest releases. The pre-order page will be setup in January. The release should be accompanied by yet some awesome extra vinyl, but those will be announced when the page is up and running… As usual we will offer at least two variants of the release to please everyone’s taste but it’s possible we’ll even make a splatter version this time, hoping to attract even more vinyl collectors. We know that you’ll love this idea and we will go forward with it very soon. 3rd: Mind Rewind 4 - Update Mind Rewind series is going well and strongly, and we are so happy that we have reached the incredible sum of over 10.000 British Pounds donated to the Charity in India. This money helped the kids tremendously and it's all THANKS TO YOU. Check the official newsletter of the charity we support here, where we are mentioned with our donations, check here: http://www.mangotreegoa.org/NewsIndex_2017Q3.htm We have secured some tracks and slowly but steadily it will be out during the first quarter of 2019 and we will also offer a digital download version for this release as the requests have been constant and we don’t want to ignore them. Just know that the worldwide shipping for the CD version will be of only 5 euro, not too much considering it is for a good cause, and nothing beats having the original release in your hands, but we do respect people who have gone digital only. 4th: Gangguru - Be Your Own Guru [DATCD012] The triple album of Gangguru is something completely unexpected, a treasure from the past teleported right to the present. This music was preserved on DAT tapes by the band, and a couple of years ago the DAT Records team digitised it and with the help of the producers identified and sorted a multitude of storming Goa Trance tracks. These have been remastered and tested on dance-floors during this period and it's now time to unleash them to the future for everyone to have and enjoy. These tracks are potent DJ tools and were played all over back in the 90s, at least one DJ remembering the band's early productions being played in Goa in 1996. DAT Records is proud to present a spectacular selection of the best of the best from over a hundred tracks that the band produced in the 90s, and we are sure that many will remember these tracks from their partying times and others will delight in hearing these creations for the first time. The tracks have been wonderfully remastered and are ready to be played out loud at events for years to come, so have fun and enjoy the trippy and magical music of Gangguru! Be sure to get your original copy so you can read the incredible story of the band and the behind-the-scenes tales that emerged during an extensive interview. Artwork: Federico Draeke Mastering: Jaroslav Valo @ Analog Dimension Style: Goa Trance, Psychedelic Trance Barcode No: 5060376223132 Release Date: 7th September 2018 5th: K.U.R.O & more… Just know that a K.U.R.O. retro album is being finalised and will be released in 2019 together with more exciting releases that will be announced soon ;). To conclude we do hope that you all have spent a wonderful Christmas and that there will be a lot of joy when reading this update from us, so thanks once again for the support and nice vibes to Everyone! Federico Draeke
3. The sale of unsold Anjuna was to happen already a year ago or even longer ago, it is very strange that there are potential customers for these releases but nowhere to get them. I was lucky as I could get them when i was in Israel but other than that, it's difficult to find them in Europe. They should sell their inventory and unsold copies, people would like that.
4. @Richpa yes if you want the bandcamp code i can give you at no extra cost when you buy the cd or digital donwload on dat records website , just remind me after release date if I forget
5. @Redo Mark has heard it recently and it's a 25 minute version, not 40. But we don't have it. Maybe in the future there will be a chance to get it and release, but please let's stick to the topic
6. yes the live mix, although very rare, was played in some parties by me, Roy Sason, Mark Ainley (DJ Solitare), and others during the last 20 years. As you will read in the booklet is a mix they made in 1996 only to be played at live events (back then) and that Jaia himself still plays when he does his retro sets. I am sure there are some recording floating on youtube of this track and we are delighted to be officially releasing this track now. @richpa, yes bandcamp is already available for preorder (cd or digital download only), however when you order on dat website you always get a link to get wav, flac or mp3 files of the release, plus for whoever wants, there can be a bandcamp code too, so please when can, order from dat webstore, is the BEST for me. I leave the bandcamp option to whoever doesn't know my label or the dat webshop, where the releases will always be cheaper than bandcamp or discogs. However here goes: https://datrecords.bandcamp.com/ @technosomy the cases this time will be 5 different random colours, except if you order directly from me you are guaranteed to get a blue case, that looks amazing, strictly limited to one per customer to avoid reselling.

Hallucinogen - Angelic Particles (Doof Desk Mix) 9. Jaïa - Insomnie (Live Mix) Why the double tracklist? Read this: At DAT Records we are very excited about our upcoming compilation Analog Visions! While the CD is currently in production, we wanted to share an important update that comes after we approached the production process and encountered some technical difficulties. On Draeke’s recent trip to Poland, he visited some CD pressing plants and we were all thrilled to hear that one plant said they could create CDs well over the traditional 80 minutes’ duration. Mark/DJ Solitare, who co-produced this release, has some classical CD that are 85 minutes long so we thought by today's standard it was absolutely not a problem. Because this VA release features some very long tracks, this option would give us the opportunity to fill the CD beyond the usual capacity and offer more music to our fans. We therefore created a compilation that totalled 86 minutes and enthusiastically sent it off for pressing. We heard back a while later that the plant was in fact not able to produce what they had promised and could not successfully create a CD of this length despite numerous attempts. We inquired at two other pressing plants we had used before, plus another, but none of them were able to produce a disc of this timing despite their stated belief that they could. One German plant had produced a CD of 87 minutes but because a number of customers’ players had issues playing it, they advised us not to produce a CD of comparable duration. We have found what we believe is the best opportunity to make all of the promised music available to our fans: we have removed one track from the printed CD that will be made digitally available to all who buy the disc, and we will also include that track on the upcoming Mind Rewind Volume 4 compilation so that a hard copy of this rarity will be available on CD. We extend our deepest gratitude to Tetrahedron for their understanding of the track listing shift (they are in fact delighted to be featured on Mind Rewind) - we are glad that this rare project’s music will be able to reach more listeners in both digital and physical formats. And we are delighted that the 78-minute compilation Analog Visions, filled with eight exceedingly rare tracks, is in production and will be with you soon. Stay tuned here for updates! Mind Rewind

The track was a wild recording session, it was made in 2 different mixes but recorded directly from the mixer to dat tapes in a desk mix kind session, so there won't be any more polished version of this, it is raw and wild because it was made like that. I think Mark knows more of this story but this is how i remember it from his words. We think it's pretty epic the way it is, and very powerful.
10. so after searches on my burned cd and old drives i managed to find back almost all my mixes except: DJ Draeke - Kali To Mars (2007) DJ Draeke - 777 System Set (2007) but is no big deal, i might just re-record those.
11. Thanks for all the positive comments and support! Hopefully the release will continue to sell well overtime as for now we have sold around 76 copies from the DAT shop + Official Bandcamp so if you don't have your cd yet, please consider getting it from the source! <3

13. A decade ago there was this discussion about Gangguru, COP and whatnot, that then derived into something else, well guess what, there is an album of Gangguru out now, on DAT Records and for all who liked the X-3 / Dreamtime EP there will be a lot of melodic tracks to enjoy in this release... feel free to support it and enjoy samples: http://www.arabesquedistribution.com/index.php?option=com_artistavenue&task=singleCd&id=3843&Itemid=99999999 then to support: http://www.datrecords.it/dat/online-shop-2.html#!/Gangguru-Be-Your-Own-Guru-3CD-Ecopak-DATCD012/p/113621452/category=178775 https://datrecords.bandcamp.com/album/be-your-own-guru https://www.discogs.com/Gangguru-Be-Your-Own-Guru/release/10443612
14. The Gangguru release is ready, pressed, and packed, so you can expect it to be on the shelves in the early days of September - fantastic news for everyone! We want to share a little story about the release that came to light in the final stages of production. Once again we’ve uncovered an old mystery and we want to share with you all. In 1996, Guy Sebbag spent around a week in Paris at the studio of the French band and helped with mixing one track which was mostly written by the band. However, he did work a bit on the track and thus got a copy of it, together with more music that the band was producing at the time. The band then forgot about this collaborative work and a couple of years ago when we started ripping their studio tapes they told us we may find the track in question. We could not identify which one it was but because the work of Guy was marginal in this track, they couldn’t be sure after 20 years, as all of the tracks had the characteristic Gangguru flavour. Much to our surprise, after going to press and thanks to a tip by our friend Kobi, we discovered that this specific track had been released 20 years ago on an obscure Israeli compilation, with no credit to Gangguru or any acknowledgment of the band whatsoever. The track was released mixed on the EthnoVibes Ambient compilation as “Guy Sebbag - Alive” but it is in fact a Gangguru track, written by its members at their studio with minor input from Guy. It had no name when it was produced and was thus untitled on the band’s DAT masters that we ripped for this project, and we named it "Orient Express" for this upcoming release. This track is therefore finally being released in its full length and unmixed form, and it sounds much better than the previously released mixed version. With this release we bring clarity to an inaccurately attributed past release and do justice to the splendid music of Gangguru.
15. The album was compiled by me, i divided their over 100 tracks in different eras and the first disc contains the best of the best tracks the second is made with new discoveries and the third cd has the best of their early productions tracks that were traded a lot and played in many parties in the 90s But i had a lot of help from the team, Vas, Kyriakos and Pavlos helped me in the process of organizing and selecting the tracks. Yes there are more unreleased and more versions of many tracks but we feel this is the best of the best. We decided not to include any unreleased of their side projects but these exists too, maybe for future releasing
16. It's finally the time. http://www.arabesquedistribution.com/components/com_artistavenue/media/large_images/datcd012.jpg The triple album of Gangguru is something completely unexpected, a treasure from the past teleported right to the present. PS: The first track is called Ramawai and not Ramawao, on the artwork of the release the title is correct, not sure why on Arabesque there is this mistake.
17. I think everyone who bought the original black version cannot be bothered to get the transparent version, but of course they should advise they will make a second coloured version
18. I remember seeing gms a couple of time live and the first was in the late 90s, i could never forget the energy and the power they had. Then I saw them in recent times (well, mid 00s) and it was very different music, yet the energy was incredible and everyone, in both occasions, was on fire on the dancefloor, exactly like psydmt describes, it seemed everyone was in sync with their creations. At any rates, his best tracks are many and i always really liked the track "The Last Block" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUioMyX7MTk
19. EP ordered, we wait for the full album though :)! Very interested in this one as an Ubar album was something on my "want to do list" at DAT for a long time, but then again, there is so much music out there that i am so happy this material gets released!!
20. I know it is a long shot, but if someone was given the music from the Nemo's album in WAVE/FLAC format and could share it with me, it could be used for a physical release that we are preparing at DAT Records to honour the memory of Nemo. The EP will come out even if this album is not found. This EP will also include some extra tracks by another obscure producer that Nemo gave me to release just days before he passed.. may he Rest In Peace.
21. I think that a 3cd with elysium music would be great and also the live material is really good. My only concern would be if people are willing to pay for this release when all the files were available for free before. In the case of cosmosis, his tracks were never given out for free.. But i would love to have it on cd for sure.
22. @visine well that is really just your point of view, I do believe what I do is close to perfect, what are a few mistakes on 196 tracks released on DAT Records and 60 on the Mind Rewind Series? I would like to see you do better, and the amount of work that went into creating these releases is immense. Not only to find the music in itself, but to arrange everything from the pressing, the artwork, the mastering, the contracts with the artists and writing the promo releases texts, interviewing the artists and writing the booklets and then again checking everything with my collaborators, which are not amateurs but professionals. The problem with the crop circles single was yet again a mislabelled track on a dat tape. The glitch on the etnica vinyl is the pressing plant fault and they promised me to repress that track on an EP but even if I have asked like 20 times they are pretending to be deaf to it, a lot of time has passed and they "forgot". That one, wasn't my error, as the track on the CD sounds fine, they fucked up at the pressing plant. The only mistakes I recognise as my fault are to have released 2 mislabelled tracks, and two tracks at wrong speed, but that's all, and yet again on 196 tracks. If that for you is being FAR from perfect, well sir, I have nothing else to discuss with you in particular. @BASS-O-MATIC there is one track by Lotus Omega released on a crop circles release and of course this happened because i have ripped the master dat tapes of lotus omega and on one tape that track was included in a liveset as "crop circles - no name" they later renamed it as "Cosmic Creative Rays - Effortless" and if I may add something both this track that was unreleased and the track by Evolution that was a vinyl only, probably wouldn't have been released ever, if it wasn't for these mistakes. I do like to read all the drama that my releases are creating and lovely drawings @Agneton!
