Guest Slavkovski
Some great (non-Psy) ambient artists are Union Jack, Biosphere and Sun Electric. Sven Vath and Ralf Hildenbutel (Earth Nation) also had some decent ambient-like releases in the past.
Guest koolaid
Everyone raves on about HUVA Network's new album Distances, but I don't really like that particular style. I would really recommend "Shulman - In Search Of a Meaningful Moment" for a good psy chill album. "Celtic Cross - Hicksville" is another classic. Or try find "Alien Mutation vs Indigo Egg - Microcosm Macrocosm" (1996) for a very interesting experimental psy ambient cd. For an excellent dark ambient album try get Robert Rich & Brian Lustmord - Stalker. For an excellent medieval choir music album try find Hildegard Von Binge - Music of the Angels. The new Galaxy album is "Science of Ecstasy", out now. I haven't heard it yet but I really liked "Galaxy - Angel" from 1998.

Guest RTP
CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS! Somebody suggested them to me as I was asking for the same question and I found out they are great!
Guest Bahamut
Steve Roach & Vir Unis - Blood Machine Pete Namlook & Klaus Schulze - Dark Side of The Moog 9 They're pretty different albums, but both fluidly rhythmic, smooth, floating, melodic, with great and very full sound. Serious, emotional, deep and intelligent music by some of the true masters of electronic music. Listen with headphones and completely lose yourself in the music.
