With almost a year of experimentation. Two of the most promising trance artists of Mexico. Anti Gravity (Ivan Vargas) and Substance (Victor Aguilar) decide to create this massive mixture of serious and clearly defined dance music, and put it all together on this mind invasion called “Space Invaded”. Expected to be an album even the techno phobic couldn’t ignore.

The effect of listening to it from start to finish is like aching to gorge oneself with Halloween candy. Like stuffing oneself with a bunch of sweet fluff melodies. But not too filling… it’s an experience you’d want over and over again. It transforms the usual operatic pretensions of trance into a quick and potent chunk of resonant explorations of high loaded bass lines. Heavy weight drum sequences, distorted beats and many explorations of specific timbres that linger close to a central idea on each cut., incorporating just enough variations to remain disturbing the dance floor.

Holding balance with the rhythmic strategies, massive breakdowns were par for the course in dance music. Unleashing monsters like “Space Invaded” and “High Definition” demonstrating their beats and rock mentality to be ahead of its time. Id-School electro melodies and tweaked to the extreme 303/606/909 shows the clear and renovated influence of old school electronic dance music and many other kinds of vintage and high technology sounds.

Translation :

Another generic full-on 4x4 psycrap album with hard kicks and a hi-hat in between them. Expect creative tripple bass samples between the kicks and add some scratchy and random synths and you've got what this album is really about.

A definite must have if you havnt already realised that psytrance is pants.

Hmm.. I did just listen to one of their tracks at myspace.. "space invaded" and I do like the sound of the bassline, its massive dancefloor full on imo. Not very innovative though, but it's better then most israeli full on.

Edit: Did they rip a riff from Shift - Closer? (check the last seconds of this track from 6:57).. you'll find the same melody in this Atari's track hmm :/ (or is it also in the NIN - closer version?)
