Guest Bruno Posted October 15, 2002 Posted October 15, 2002 Hello there everyone, how are you my friends? I have been blown away by the magic ambient sounds from space that "The Infinity Project - The Answer" brought to my ears. What songs are like that? Magic and from Space? Take care, Bruno Quote
abasio Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 I feel sad that nobody replied to this The Infinity Project - The Answer is a beautiful, spacey track & I would also like to know what else is similar to this. Quote
phobium Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 One of my favorites indeed. I even played yesterday, when I did a one hour chill set on a webradio here in Norway. Quote

Classics like this deserve more discussion! I love the mix of atmospheric ambience & the trippy spacey samples Quote
Charlie Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 it's sad that there's no interesting topics nowadays and you have to dig 4-year old ones to get the discussion moving... 617062[/snapback] Yup, what's even sadder is it could be argued it's a reflection of psy trance music itself. Quote

It's sad that I have to resurrect a 23 year old (TWENTY THREE) thread to get the discussion moving. This track is still one of my all time favourites, but is there anything recent that feels like this? 1 Quote
acid being Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It's a good track. In terms of finding something similar I guess it depends exactly what you are after. Overall it sounds like a more relaxed version of a Shpongle track, with less of the various instrumental bits in it. The sort of spacey ambiences do sound really nice. Maybe there is something in the space ambient genre to match it? Other than that, Greg Hunter has made loads and loads of spacey psybient so one of his tracks is bound to hit the right spot. Here's a couple of examples with vaguely similar textures, though these two tracks are maybe a bit busier than The Answer: https://dubsahara.bandcamp.com/track/artificial-dream https://dubsahara.bandcamp.com/track/octaphon-2 I will get back to you if I find something closer. acid being Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago Possibly this, actually, in terms of the mellow mood and the flute being there, though the spacey textures are maybe less similar than in those other two tracks I posted. Worth a listen, anyway. https://dubsahara.bandcamp.com/album/temple-of-stars Quote
