Review:

1. Son Kite comes out with a very nice progressive track. I find this to

be a little bit more soft and sexy, very much within the Flying Rhino style.

The anologue sounds flow in an out to a rythmic beat and bassline.

2. Memories of the old acid techno days. This song is a nice slow tribal

number, with lots of acid riffs flowing and peaking. It has a simple yet

effective piano type melody, but the ladie's vocals are a little annoying,

and a bit to housey for me.

3. This track sarts with a nice sample and a soft beat, with ambient sound

floating around. As the track flows on, it tends to be a bitmore old

school, anologue efetcs, bringing back memories of the first three FLight

compilations and the first Re:Evoluton compilation, a very good track.

4. A very psychadelic track, lots of sample and a nice midrange 4/4 beat.

This track again is quite old school in style, with a afew modern touches.

5. After a strange intro, this songs bounces along at a quick pace, it is a

very much fun song, with weird psychadelic efffects, like voices, before

turning into a twisted night time master piece.

6. This song has nice tribal drums, liquids effetcs and a fast beat,

probably my least favourite on the compilation, it just doesn't seem to go

anywhere and is quite messy.

7. A slightly slower beat, yet turning into a fun filled stomper.

Distorted effects flying all around, thisis a lovely track from the

acclaimed newcomers, Killa Hertz.

8. My favourite track on the compilation. This track is alittle more like

the older Wizzy Noise. Fast bass kick, wicked basslines, evil efects and

strange samples. The compilation is worth it for this

alone!!

9. A slow groovy track to end it all, nice and smooth, god vibes to end a

great compilation.

I peronally see this as a big comeback for the Flying Rhino team, a return

to what made them in the first place, bring onthe wicked beats from the

Horned Flying Ones!! 9.4/10

I think the style is a bit overused. The scene has already been full of decent

tracks like this for over 3 years. This release is deffinately not an

essential.

I wont say this is a bad comp but I will say that the scene has been full of

this kind of stuff for over three years. Maybe its time for a bit of novelty.

Deffinately not an essential.

Same Same, but NOT different...

This comp truly suxx BigTime, or wait... Maybe there is one good track here

somewhere... Let´s see... Yes , maybe just one... Yup, there it is! It´s the

Wizzy Niose track.

Apart from this single track, this comp is not worth listening to or buying,

and it sounds just like th rest of the crap that comes from Flying Rhino´s

office these days...

1/10... And this lonely 1 is just for the Wizzy track...

First of all I have to say that it's always inspiring to read Mike D's reviews,

cause to me he's a guy who really does his job thoroughly. As for the

compilation? Well I've been listening this over and over. I think that Rhino

is doing fairly good job. Personally I have always liked J. Monroe and M. Katz

aka GLF is one of my favourites nowdays. I did a review for local paper and

gave 4/6. Highlight is of course Wizzy's Velocity. This is a kind of spacey

rocker. Send me somewhere out there when I was listening this when falling in

sleep. And ManMadeMan's Lookout is nice tribal kicker. Keep up the good work

Rhino!

Agree with Cosmo... ManMadeMan made a nice track... morning and tribal ; 4D,

Charismatix and Wizzy for sure are giving us good job but that's clear this

comp is far behind records like Nightvision or Live in Germany... I hope

re-evolution 4 will be better !

rather cheap compilation...most tracks are old and have been released in the

past...best track by Wizzy Noise "Velocity" which is taken from their latest

album Cyclotron....

Collection of older Flying Rhino tunes. Only Velocity and Fly have been umixed

on CD before. All the tracks are pretty nice - mostly dark and psychedelic

builders - progressive theories. Certainly worth a listen. I personally find

a lot of these tracks very psychedelic - if you listen to them you'll find

they really suck you in. I'll give it about a 7 / 10.

No new tracks...what a shame... My favorite tracks: Wizzy Noise and

Charasmatix, althoug those are no new tracks... guess I'll have to wait for

the next Charasmatix album which comes on Flying Rhino too...

i think i prefer this kind of compilation with various track than the

commercial stuff "g.m.s,alien-project,tip....etc..." and i'm not sure wizzy

noise track is the best of the compilation...it's simply the most commercial!

so i prefer a compilation with MUSIC inside than with BUSINESS!

I bought that comp just to see what the hack it is...Everybody kept on saying

different things about it, so i jut gave it a try... Flying Rhino WAS one of

the best and can still be... Worthy compil.. Variation..progress and all

that..old trax for the most..

but no harm one.. Give it a chance..BTW...Nr 5 could prob be considered as the

Dream Theater of PSY...Really crazy song..like Simon Posford on tones of LSD..

A really good comp in my opinion! When I first got it I was initially dissapointed as the 1st 2 sinularity comps were extraordinarily good. But after the years have passed & I've listened to this again I have come to realise that there is some damn good music in this!
