  1. The biggest surprise this year was the emergence of Spacey Koala, a young eclectic producer from Montreal, Canada. His release, "Clown Therapeute" earlier this year is pretty much locked in as my favorite release of the year!! Also got signed to Terrafractyl's new label "Kinematic Records". He has incredible energy and a great vibe. After seeing him perform in a live setting on 2 kickass soundsystem's... I am assured this guy is going to be a huge hit very soon. He has a new release on the way for sometime in 2014. Can't wait!! http://spaceykoala.bandcamp.com/
  2. Highly suggest Tengri (Atriohm chill project) on Peak Records. http://peakrecords.bandcamp.com/album/icaros Pretty much anything by Bluetech will be suitable, this is one my favorite all time albums Bluetech- Sines & Singularities http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTinOQRl6Os Entheogenic is right up there with the all time best. Simply Incredible. Entheogenic- Spontaneous Illumination http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rcx5SoBmYk Entheogenic- Dialogue of the Speakers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n21ypnQMJsE Entheogenic- Entheogenic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjKUHMFd99c And finally a personal favorite of mine::: A dark twisted psychill tale of epic proportions. Dark Prisma Records: VA- Conundrum Concoction https://soundcloud.com/dark-prisma-records/sets/v-a-conundrum-concoction
  3. Terrafractyl is one of my favorite producers. What strikes me is that he is consistantly pushing the boundaries of what is musically acceptable. If you are looking for someone who fits the mold on what a typical psytrance producer should be, you will not find that. This is intelligent music that makes the brain work a bit more to comprehend. Generally uses some thought provoking samples, but doesn't quite break the proverbial "cheesy" line. Also incorporates lots of classical and jazzy elements into his sounds and is primarily melodically inclined. Check his new label Kinematic Records for other sounds he endorses. There are some very good releases on it. www.kinematicrecords.bandcamp.com
  4. I do not see a link if you have a specific sound you want us to listen to or if you just reference "this" as to Dubstep in general. Keep an open mind for everything. While you may not appreciate dubstep, it's important to realize that good music does exist in every genre. There IS good dubstep out there, perhaps you just have not heard it yet, dig deeper. Dubstep is like psytrance in that there are a plethora of subgenre categories for specific tempos, vibes, and sounds. There is a large worldwide community of highly psychedelic dub(step) that is contributing to removing the boundaries of genre elitism. I believe in the ability to have creative freedom in regards to musical creation. The producer/dj headliner is free to play whatever they choose. This is why they were booked in the first place; the promoter trusts the track selections and musical vibes of that musician. I suggest rather than voicing frustration, you put that energy toward learning the skills necessary to play music that you enjoy. This way you can creatively stimulate yourself and further your knowledge of music theory. In short, be part of the solution, however you envision that to be.
