  1. Hi Radi

I have ignored you until now but I just want to say this. You seem like an ok person, but you need to realise that others in this world do not share yur passions. It's what makes us all unique and individual. My wife worships Coldplay & Chris Martin. I abhore them. I love having sex every day but she does not. Yet we get along because we are happy to accept the differences in our passions.

People aren;t insulting you,t hey just have more important things to do in their lives than hang out here talkiung about mountains, they probably prefer to go out and climb them. Then when they are at home they have word to do, or listen to music, or chang diapers or masturbate or have sex or whatever.

The world does not reovle around you & your passions. The world will not stop to pay attention to you or your passions. It's ok to try and share them but if noone else likes it then move on. You cannot force ppl to like what you like.

Anyway I visited your country in 1999 and have to say i much preferred the mountains of Poland & Nepal. Himalays are amaing. Poland were muc more lush & the girls were very skinny and easier to lay down with. Especially if I said I was Boris Blenn.

    Boom!

  2. On & off for the last 18 years. I sold off all my retro ones last year to help pay off my mortgage. Now I can buy some neo anologue ones. I don't miss the old ones, even though I had 2 303's, an 808 & 909. I got $12K for those alone.

  3. Yeah they go for way too much second hanbd in Austrlia. It's madness. I'm trying to decide if I should go a Nord Lead 1 for $500 or a Novation Supernova rack for $800.

Actually I have sent the seller a request for noth for $1100 but no response since last night. Fingers crossed.

  4. A scoop of Icecream in purgatory:

Psykovsky - Psychedelic Cow in the Sky

    Hallucinogen - Twisted Mushroom EP

    CPC - Utter den Joy

Fragletrollet - Fragles in Outer Space

Heavy Mental feat. psytones - Schizophrenic Solution

AndyShiva - Tales From the Odd Forest Nose

    Erland Yildiz - Material Music

    VA - Love&Magic

All released on the sub-label of Shiva Space Technology, Kali Earth Records (trademarked and copyrighted).

Any proof of this before hopes get up?

Twisted Mushroom EP? My god, so he got the IM guys to remix some of the Twisted tracks? This makes me want to cry way befor eit comes out I was made to see IM live earlier this year at a big EDM festival to babysit my nephew. It was really really bad. Much more idfficult to handle than even their recent album work. It was like taking the worst heavy metal band and makinghtem 10000x worse!!

  5. Looks good & sounds great!

My realization was that for what I needed to spend on modular I can get a couple of nice synths, audio input device, mixing desk, monitors & some acoustical gear for my new studio space to get the sound nice.

  6. It's spring/summer where I'm now. I'm listening a lot less to psy/goa trance, more deep house/techno/ambient & drum & bass. I barely even notice the change in music when seasons change but for me Winter is def. the time for Goa & Psy.

    How about y'all?

  7. Just heading out to pick up my Sub Phatty now. I'll let you know what I think and post a pic later. It's my first synth since 2000. Back then I needed money so I sold my roland collection to pay for a 3 year trip overseas (303, 909, 808 & a few keyboard synths). I miss them now but would never pay the amount they go for!!

  8. Yeah it's so tempting to extend credit limit with bank and buy it all at once!

I just bought a Moog Sub Phatty, MicroBrute (Preorder) & M-Audio Profire 2626.

Next on the list in Feb next years is a pair of Adam a5x monitore. Then I have to choose between Prophet 12 or modular.

  9. Why the microbute? Mostly just for price or is there more to it that will give it more advantages in the long run?

The MicroBrute has VCA functions which make it ideal for controlling modular, plus for less than the cost of say a Novation Impulse 49 you get a great little fully analogue monosynth that can be used for controller purposes as well.

Yeah modular is expensive but if you find a good shop they should be able to do you a great Doepfer system for the cheap. Fr example though I'm cutting costs by going the low cost 9u Doperfer cas which here is S450-500AUD alone. that leaves me around $3700 for modules which sounds like a lot but really it'll be a good system only. When I add a full The harvestmen system then it'll be a great system.

Wehn I then add a maybe a 500 series system when I'm famous and rocking Ibiza like Sven Vath (sarcasm BTW, sarcasm) it'll be awesome.

Although if it means more gear I'll happily make commercial EDM :P

  10. Sorry mate, I got carried in my response. i've just heard so many people complain about crowd noise in live recording in this scene when to me it adds to the live feeling :)

    Peace :)

BTW it was a decade ago when I spoke to Mr Posford so at that time he was considering a Hallucinogen 3 but it sounds like now maybe the best we can hope for is a compilation of unreleased or experimental/ambient stuff. I wouldn't complaing, I do think he should dig out a bunch of oldies, get them mastered by Tim Schuldt or Colin Oood and put out a 2 x CD. Disc 1 the best of remastered, disc 2 unrelease killargh hubba hubba b!tch plz stuff.

ON TOPIC I love UX & this release will be amazing. I will be getting at least 1 copy of the CD & hope maybe for T-shirts :P

  11. alright, but it does sound a bit fake when the crowd is cheering while the people on the vid are dancing instead of making the usual cheering gestures, especially in parts of the track where you'd usually see people dancing instead. :)

Do you reade what you write? Seriously? Have you ever listened to a live album before?

For one thing, people are not machines, they will cheer when they feel like and dance when they feel like. If you cannot understand this and enjoy the release and feel the vibe then why not leave it be and go listen to yur studioe recordings instead?

Really, can you see every single person and tell me what they are doing? What about the guy at the bar who is having a drink and not dancing? What about the two girls over the left who have bad back and cannot dance?

I'm kidding right but seriously youre complaing is a bit um over the top. I understand, I have heard from Simon Posford when he was out hear a few years ago & I had a beer with him. He said he would not put out a live album for this same reason, too many people will complain if it has crowd noise, others will say if it doesn't it sounds too much like a studio recording. He & many other musicians who are leaving this genre to find new crowd are actually pretty tired of the psy/goa crowd who consider themselves above the average listener & put too much pressure on the musicians.

As Far As I'm comncerned, hearing the crowd whenever add to the vibe. It makes me feel like I am there, and if it wasn't the time that I'd choose to cheer then so be it. I'd rather have this version than not at all.

Anyway ok sorry if I hurt you or broke any rules but sometime thing just need to be left alone.

  12. Personally if I was you I'd buy the Arturia MicroBrute first (it's stunning for the price), and it works perfectly as a eurorack controller, so you could later add either a premade euro system like the Foundation or else make a small one yourself for under $1000.

You need to spend some time at www.muffwiggler.com it's not dodgey, it's the best euro & IMO synth forum in the world.

  13. Yeah it can be as much or as little as you want. I'd suggest a good set up would be something like the Pittsburgh Modular Foundation 2.0 which is a complete voice analog modular synthesizer prebuilt. Details http://pittsburghmodular.com/foundation/ otherwise you could go the Dark Energy II from Doepfer fro a nice semi-modular http://www.doepfer.de/Dark_Energy_II_e.htm but if you get that you'll probably want to get the the sequencer as well http://www.doepfer.de/Dark_Time_e.htm or else within in that price range I'd suggest the Moog Sup Phatty or cheaper options are the Novation Bass Station II, Arturia Minibrute or Korg Ms-20 Mini (if you can get past the issues). Hobby wise I'd go something at least semi-modular as it will keep you occupied for years.
