  1. Not a huge fan byt Insector & the new Khaos Sektor album had some fun glitchy dubstep breakdowns that had the kind of bass that was almost the brown note. I know not many here seem to like the glitchy style but those two nail it for sure. Insector's last 2 albums is really fun with actual melodies in them. I don't mind dubstep, the proper stuff not the bro step but for sure it really for me does not suit the psychedelic vibe, although proper dub for sure can be a trip and also Ott I am sure cna do it but for me not a fan of his style.

  2. Listening to this now & it's super nice. Anjuna beats IMHO is the best retro Goa label for me with the harder sounds I always loved, hope they keep afloat for a long time. Big respects from Australia for such awesome music. I might have a chance to spin these tunes at a beach gig here on NYD :)

  3. Nice set up, how does the nord sound? I want something "trancey" to go with my Sub Phatty & Nord Lead 2x is going cheap new here.

I just use a soundcard/audio input device for now but as I can see more gear coming might consider a small mixer in the future.

  4. nice choice, my nephew got one & I've had a lot of fun using it with my Sub Phatty. It definitely has a more trance vibe to it IMHO than Moog but together I could see the two style mingly to make some great deep progressive acid psychedelic madness. I'm torn between getting this or the MicroBrute + Elektron Machine Drum.

  5. Lying in bed with a really sore back after packing to move all Saturday. It's Sunday morning & I just need to wait for the chemist to open so I can get some pain killers. It's just muscle so should go after a few days but sucks for now. Listening to Balance 019 mixed by Henry Saiz on my 'phones.

  6. So yeah I've got a Moog Sub Phatty but I rarely hear Moog sound in much Goa/Psy trance, admitelly I listen to only the 90's stuff really.

Any known artists that have the Moog sound? Is it just me or was it mainly Roland & Nord that were predominant in early style?

    thanks :)

  7. lol no theme park. Butit does have afully functioning lift. We figured it's in a very nice area which my wife inherited ahalf done house from her father when he passed away in an accident. We figured we might as well spend the cash and make it our dream home, also when we are retiring it will easily fund our retirement when we sell it. We can then sell it and live in a nice apartment/granny flat and afford good nurses to take care of our adult diapers :)

  8. The first hour & a half was usually just me making beats in EBM style and my mate making weird noises/white noise/static on the Moog. Then we'd introduce the 2 x 303's full power going mental. My mate on one and me on the other. Sometimes we'd use a guitar with distortion and a sampler. The sample contained spoken word from war documentaries. There was a heavy political message as we were/are quite left wing/hippy in some ways.

The chorus lyrics from Napalm Death - "When All Is Said And Done" were featured heavily towards the end of our career. I love the message in that song.

  9. Never sold but gave plenty away. I used to do live shows with a friend. The 2 x 303s, TR-909 & a Mini Moog a Mini Moog Voyage run through a mixer love on the spot. Also used. Bunch of cheap n nasty guitar pedals on them. It was fun & we never asked to be paid. I got my kicks from watching kids 10 years younger than me rocking to my noise. It ran between 120-180BPM for 3-4 hours usually. I wish we had recorded some lol.

  10. vimana pt 2...listen to the bass and structure ffs... no spirituality whatsoever... music for 11 year old children..

    newer stuff:

complexity reacing zero level...one layer of synths, maybe 2 in the peak part...

forget it, i'm just whining like a pussy.

i'll listen to something deep and spiritual:

Maybe I'm old but I find most neo goa has not spirutality and too many layers. It has nothing at all of the deeper spirit of the real goa sound. I have every single Suntrip release and have never been able to finish listening to any all the way through except the Afgin album.

  11. They were very expensive to keep in mint conditon so I am glad they are gone, Modern synths mean easier repair and maintenance at a lower cost. Also the Moog Sub Phatty is really just so much fun compared to old gear. The bass is so amazing. have paid for a microbrute and also ordered some Adam A5x monitors.

I think I might consider also a small mixer for all my gear. maybe a 10 channel Allen & Heath one, although a Mackie anolog intrigues me for sound qualiuty as I am buying mostly anolog gear.

  12. Sitting in my wife's nighty with no undies on copying my euro trance collection to my computer to put on my iphone. I am feeling rather horny but I pissed my wife off earlier so my only option now is to pleasure myself but I'm happier just drinking grey goose vodka.
