  1. Der Dritte Raum - Schrittmacher Artist: Der Dritte Raum Title: Schrittmacher Label: Virgin Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 06'07" Der Schrittmacher 02. 08'15" Tanzmedial Review: Schrittmacher is a very playful track with funny and sometimes very atmospheric details and melodies. It has very much electro influences and quite funky aswell. Very playful!. Tanzmedial is more based on a steady rhythm, you can still here clear influences of electro, but it´s not really not as playful as Schrittmacher. This one has a steady beat and on top of that there is a funky/electro loop (which is very typical for Der Dritte Raum) almost through the whole track and there is also some different delayed atmospheric sounds fading in and out during the track. This is really good (excellent rhythm), and most of the Der Dritte Raum fans will propably like it very much, atleast I do. Take Care!
  2. Takeichiro - Abstractions Artist: Takeichiro Title: Abstractions Label: Plusquam Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Abstractions 02. Vass Review: I bought this one in hope to get some Japanesee quality as I´ve always since I experienced goa trance the first time liked Japanesee artists (Kuro, Masa, Ree K, Ubar Tmar and more). I now know that Kuro is the same artist as Takeichiro and he has became even more Japanesee than in his older releases. This is very technoid, monotonous and hypnotic music, and that I like really much! It´s not really minimal trance, it´s more techno. Close your eyes and sit down and put on Abstracitons and the slow hypnotic monoton rythm and different dark twisted sounds will take you to another state of mind. I would also love to hear this on the dancefloor to see how other people react. Vass is a faster and more agressive track with a lot of agressive snares and hihats and has a lot of laser-like sounds in it, but it´s still very dark and monotoneus. Very much science fiction/futurism over both these tracks and I love it, and I would love dance to it aswell. Maybe I should start to search more ! among the techno labels, because I´m sure that there is techno labels that releases music like this to. I don´t think many visitors of this site will like this release, Stormbringer seems to be into this sort of music though. Mr. Storm, buy this, you will not be dissapointed., but other people, take a listen before you buy this. Take Care.
  3. Soul Pitcher - One Way Ticket Artist: Soul Pitcher Title: One Way Ticket Label: Optimus Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'59" Resest Devises 02. 09'23" One Way Ticket Review: Time to make a review of this EP from Optimus Records, which is an label based in Israel, but this is for sure not any Israeli trance . Reset Devises, which is my favorite here, has a very clear sounding progressive production. It is very beutiful with a melodie ala Vibrasphere coming now and a lot of echoing effects that builds a really beutiful atmosphere aound the track but the music is slower and not as dark as some of the Vibrasphere tracks, and there is also different percussions and snares popping up in the track. Very clear and clean, top quality production! One Way ticket is faster and feels a little bit more like atmospheric techno, but it´s still top quality and very good. It´s a little bit more monotoneus but still very beutiful, it builds up with different atmospheric sounds and percussions. Sometimes I get the feel that it sounds like the track The Archer by Sagitarius, which is on the EP review section, and I don´t really know what the style is called, but a hybrid between atmospheric techno and atmospheric hardtrance maybe is the right description? I borrowed this from a friend which is really much into house, so I guess if you like house you will like this, but I can´t really see any reason why . If you like Spiral Trax Int. or other Scando releasing labels, I think maybe you will like this.

    Tristan - Collaborator

I agree with you Stormbringer, this is a pure killer release. Brittish quality!!!
  5. a pure journey thorugh magnetic fields filled with darkness, energy and mindblowing sounds. I think that this is a part of their evolution and I think their 3´rd album (if there will be one?) will be even better! The Awakening has more good tracks, but this is really a journey!
  6. 10/10, dark, energetic and very powerful, I´ve always loved Darshan and I will always do!!! Masterpiece!
  7. Dums don´t stop is certainly a greeeeeat classic track! Great build up and a woooooounderful atmospheric break (the one Ubik mentioned). Excellent!

    Bus - Let's Go

Bus - Let's Go Artist: Bus Title: Let's Go Label: Flying Rhino Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. Sweetness 02. Let's Go Review: Gus Till has made two very progressive and twisted trance tracks on this EP. The A-side (Sweetness) is very progressive and quite dark (but not evil) and it builds up with different strange effects and noises. In the end it has a very strange break with a lot of manipulated ultra-twisted voices which ends up with a great (dark) melody and nice kickdrum coming in. Now you can really feel the energy and you understand that all the progression was nessescary. Really nice! The b-side is also a very progressive track but more full-on then the a-side and explodes in the end as all the progressive stuff, very dance-floor friendly! If you like the new ultra-progressiv style of Slinky Wizard and other material coming from Gus Till you should get this one! 100% guarantee that you will like it if you´re searching for dark, progressive trance filled with energy!

  16. Logic Bomb - The Pawn (Rmx) / Time Travelling ET's Artist: Logic Bomb Title: The Pawn (Rmx) / Time Travelling ET's Label: TIP World Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. The Pawn (Rmx) 02. Time Travelling ET's Review: Logic Bomb´s first release on the TIP World label and it´s completely mindblowing! Atleast the first track (The Pawn RMX) which is one of my all time favourite from our Swedish hobgoblins. I have to admit that I haven´t heard that much from Logic Bomb more then the album and some old stuff, but they truly improves all the time. The BPM is, as always almost, very high and al lot of the typical hux flux / logic bomb effects is there, very trippy and "chemical". The kickdrum is hard as usual. You´re body is starting to move and suddenly the soul is grabbed by this wonderful melody which really makes you´re hole body smile (?) like the melody in "Errorhead" by Hux Flux does, powerful but still very harmonic and beutiful! The track is pure quality as always, every little sound on it´s right position. It builds and when it has built to another more energetic level with some melodies and a lot of trippy details you can hear the melody coming in again and then the track dies out, terrific. There is also some samples about a "remarkable incident in the Himalayas!", is it that Yeti again ? . The B-side is at it says "Raw audio and it speaks for it self", that´s what they say in the intro sample. This track has some ethno influences (digeridoo) and has a more evil feel over it like "kilobyte bandit" from the album. This is heavier than the A-Side and the melodies is more trippy and mindbending, but they can really deliver pure energy from their tracks which they do here aswell. The percussions (is it called that) sounds like a horse galloping, and that´s what we call gallop-trance? Don´t we? . This is a true psychedelic nightstormer. As a whole this is one of the best releases in 2001 in my opinion with The Pawn rmx as one of the highligt tracks from this year. Peace and respect to the Logic guys and I´ll hope you´ll get you´re woods for your own as you used to have. Keep up the good work & give us some more shagadelicIous earcandy! Boom!

  22. Synthetic - Metal Gear / 100% Pure Artist: Synthetic Title: Metal Gear / 100% Pure Label: Twisted Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. Metal Gear 02. 100% Pure Review: I saw that many of the visitors wanted more EP reviews, so here you people got atleast one. It´s a release that symbolises one of the new direction that Twisted records have been moving towards. I don´t wanna call it minimal, it´s more like dark pounding psychedelic Trance. The b side (100% Pure) consists of a dark psychedelic track with an excellent grooove. The first thing I really liked about this track was actually the rare groove and the second thing was the melody. The melody isn´t the cheesy type, more of a melody built up by twisted effect in an excellent way. There is also a lot of breaks, but they are not annoying in any way and there is also some other effect that pops up once in a while. This track isn´t good it´s great! The second story, Metal Gear, builds up with heaaaavy kickdrum and sharp percussions. The melody that comes up is very quirky in a dark and heavy way, kinda industrial, but still very psychedelic and mindbending. There is also some of thoose scary horror samples that you can hear in a lot of The Delta tracks. There is a lot of atmosphere coming true this track in a scary and dark way. It ends upp with some rattling percussions that sounds like rattling empty beer cans. Even if empty beer cans isn´t good in anyway it ends upp this release. With the rare groove and delicious ear candy the "100 % Pure" track delivers I can´t do anything but to recomend this release! Take care!
