  1. i saw that list , Junos , Jupiters,Tb,sh ,Oberheim Matrixes , Minimoog ... simply the collection of best analog synthesizers and best outboard effects ...

todays goa production is thinner , cus artist use other kind of intruments (VA s  and plugins)  .. btw todays psy , fullon and other subgenres havent nothing with 90s goatrance production ... its the different sound , different feeling ....

    <_<

They must have spent tens of thousands of dollars on their studio, unless they got the old analog gear in the early 90's when they were out of fashion and cheap. I wonder if their studio is insured? :)

Yea it is thinner, but few of us have the dough for the gear and it's probably difficult to find fully functional units of some of the synths.

The new psy doesn't have powerful melodies like 90's goa and psy - in fact dark psy is the antithesis of goa with its grey binary noise leads and atonal melodies, so boring. And the commercialization of psy... well, you get the drift.

  2. i agree with Lost Buddha about  todays technology but if you want to add some warmth for your tracks , use analogs .... everytimes when im listen AP tracks from 90's , im on the top  :P , that pulsating electronical stampedo  from thier tracks comming from the best studio setup that ever has been used in goatrance production

    :)

Their sound is insanely phat. Trantastic deep kicks & basses. I saw video of their studio and they had at least a few dozen different synths. There was a list of their equipment on the net, but I can't find it now.

  3. Can one download any of those tracks? The last time I talked to him (a while ago) he said he only had releases under Psynymph

Yes you can. Just download the m3u stream files to your computer instead of opening them in some audio player and open them in some word processor like Windoze WordPad and you'll find the download URLs in them.

  4. No, wait. I have proof.

Now, my question to you, ladies and gentlemen, is how can you have power in music without dynamics?

Fallible science is no substitute for Omnipotent Faith. You indeed have lost the Divine Guidance, heretic. :P

Neither track looks as dramatic in Goldwave:

The fact is that their music is intense and multi-layered full-on goa, and it doesn't have as many calmer sections as for example Hallucinogen. If there is overcompression and limiting, it's not that bad IMO. There's still dynamics in the music and I can forgive them because of their musical excellence.

  5. Intelligent Dance Music. Synonyms: Aphex Twin, early Warp Records releases.

It's ironic that Aphex Twin is held by many as a prime example of IDM and he himself dislikes the genre's name. He said in an interview that it's derogatory towards other genres, like "so this is intelligent music and the rest isn't?"

  6. Hello RADI.

    :blink::o:ph34r: Noooooooooooooooooo! :D

prey god in your spare time for giving you the privilege to let this divine sound get into your auditory channel... ;)

    620165[/snapback]

    Prey indeed:

    Prey

    1. To hunt, catch, or eat as prey: Owls prey on mice.

    2. To victimize or make a profit at someone else's expense.

    3. To plunder or pillage.

    4. To exert a baneful or injurious effect: Remorse preyed on his mind.

    Sorry couldn't resist. :)

Shiva willing, I will today complete my odyssey.

  7. Pleiadians - I.F.O. and Astral Projection - Trust In Trance

Uncompromising depth and musicality and terawatts of energy. No cheese. So trippy. Wonderfully complex. They don't make music like that anymore.

Of course there are other excellent albums, but those are creme de la creme.

  8. I haven't heard those new tracks (got to listen to them), but IMO 170 is too fast. I like fast and powerful music, but at some point (a bit after 150), the music loses something. The faster you go, the less nuances you can have.

And I don't really like hardstyle/freeform. It's too superficial and in many tracks there are cheesy strings and breakdowns. A definite no no for me.

  9. Yeah, but the problem is that more labels should follow the example of some of the other labels. Like iboga, look at them, you can buy the cds directly from them for 11 euros, and at the end, they are doing the same work as a online recordshop does hehe.... worthing thinking about eh?

Because they are a smaller selling business than a retailer like Psyshop that sells far more different records, they may have more costs per record to cover, but I'm not sure this would explain all of the price. This is just speculation and I'm not trying to defend them. If they are indeed selling them at a higher price than they "should",

Now, this DUDE is not worked up, this dude has had enough of ripoffs in his life. When I started buying 12"s I payed around 7 euros for them, and today, EVENTHOUGH pressing costs less, you pay 10 euros in some shops?

I am asking myself, just WHAT is it, that has become more expensive?

No this dude is not worked up at all, im completely disgusted by some peoples ambitions to make money out of people with great ideas and ambitions (some of the labels and the artists out there, and there are many with good ideas, dont turn and twist this argument please!)

Just to clarify, I wasn't against your initial idea. I think it's a good one.

Anyways, no sir, im not worked up.... we are about to make change, and its about that someone has the guts to do so! (I might fall right on my nose though, and thats fine, but atleast I tried!) :)

Good luck with your endeavour. I wholeheartedly support it.
