  1. Yeah, that´s right, Amen was way more comerzial than the other Astral Albums before, but i still think some tracks aren´t that bad, now Ten is really an awful album except the mahadeva RMX but the rest is some of the worst msuic i´ve ever listened to.

Most stars will fall eventually, I reckon.

  2. Astral Projection has some bad tracks with eurotrance melodies on Amen, but they have also very good tracks on that album like The Nexus, Amen, 1,000,000 years from today, technodrome, chaos and a bit electronic blue, the rest isn´t good though.

The album as a whole pales in comparison to Trust In Trance, Dancing Galaxy and Another World.

  3. Jivamukti is probably confused with the totally different track L'Esperanza by 'Airscape', which is also Johan Gielen + Sven Maes, the same guys from Balearic Bill

this track obviously has nothing to do with the Esperanzas by Sven Väth and Yahel  :)

Oops, it seems my memory didn't serve me well. Anyway I think it's stupid that so many ppl have used the same track name.

  4. if it goes the same path that we interface then no.

Arne told me it will be quite different from their earlier stuff, whatever that means. Ah well, I'd prefer it to be like Scizoeffective, not Send In... Send Back because the latter reminds me of mono techno which usually makes me only sleepy nowadays.

  5. Tumult was the first darkpsy/fullon album that I liked. They execute the stuff of the genres well and they have enough layers in their tracks to keep me interested. It'll probably be the only album of those genres I'll ever buy. That type of music is too quirky to form any large part of my daily musical diet anyway.

  6. Okay i really must say some tracks are AWESOME, have really the mfg feeling and uplifting atmosphere that got me tears in my eyes, well done mfg, BUT i can´t believe that they used that shit bassline like all other artists use, that´s not the crappy fullon bassline but very similar to it, there are worse basslines from some artists like Alien Project or very new Astral projection tracks, this bassline is more like Astrix asslines but i´am still dissapointed that they used this bassline. After all i like this album and think it is the first step in the right direction, let´s see if Astral Projection will top it with good basslines or will make even worse, it is definetly WAY BETTER than Astral Projections Ten and the new tracks like new sociesy and back from hell!  :)

Hey that's the bassline everyone else is using too! If you don't use it, you risk alienating demanding and style-conscious listeners and dancers, and labels may not want to release your non-conformistic music. It's teh hot thing - if you ain't got it, you ain't nothing.

I've got sick of those standard psy basses a loooong time ago and when ever I hear them I instinctively get prepared to press "next track" button when the rest of the standard show comes in.

  7. Sorry - Im not gonna mention 5 albums..

For my part, I try not to remember that bad music, but the good; and thats hard enough.

There is, however, one particular album which will always bring me in a bad mood, its very annoying stressfull and I hate it really.

Alienated "Fluff Factory" - Creamcrop Records.

Thats the reason I listen to everything I buy. I loved the first alienated releases, so I figured the album would rock - it didnt. That was the last album I ever bought just from the name itself.

I cant fathom why anyone would enjoy this music, then again, reading the other posts in this thread, there is no such thing as logic in regards to taste.

Actually it says on the album cover "Alienated - FF". IMO it's a very good album, uncompromising rough trance, although some of the tracks are a bit too repetitive (or long, whichever way you want to see it) and a bit samey.

  8. Many tracks on Astral Projection's Amen have clear Euro-cheese flavours and I don't like them at all. In addition their track Burning Up is Euro too.

I do like beautiful and positive melodies, but usually they end up sounding cheesy. Or maybe it's just me?

BTW, La Esperanza is a track released by Sven Vath in the 90s under the alias Balearic Bill.

  9. Around the World in 80 Minutes was released only a year after 002: Avant.Garde. Will the next one come out so fast too?

Do you make your living solely from music or do you have "normal" jobs too?

What's the most serious blunder you've made at a gig?

What's the funniest thing you've seen at a gig?

  10. Everything that is a cliché, most importantly all kinds of drug refences and psy-something or something-psy, except Psykovsky, because it's so clever. I could adopt the name Psibelius because I'm from Finland and we have a classical composer called Sibelius.

And then there is the class of highly refined taste, exemplified by the likes of Analog Pussy.

  11. Haha, those Raja Ram edits were terrific. :P My face started to ache from all that laughing. Well done, guys!

I find it disgusting that selling with sex is infiltrating in the psy trance too (and less commercial progressive trance). Well, the scene has changed quite a bit in the new millennium anyway.

  12. Anyone ever noticed the irony that earlier he played hardcore punk (punk being so anti-commercial) and now he's a moneymakin' superstar?

His sound was rather fresh when he came, but it didn't help at all that most of his tracks were basically built with the same sounds and tricks over and over. Gets a tad boring after a few tracks.
