I want Suntrip 3 and 4 re-released. They mean a lot to me so I really want them
-
I have
V.A. Concept in Dance - digital alchemy (1994)
Subcouds - Space Angel (12")
Both in great condition. Got no idea if they are rare
-
I started just about when I turned 16 in 1996. At it's very top so to speak
-
SynthheavenSome nice studios
Nemo, you should buy a Alpha juno-1 instead of sampling one, it cost 100 euro in sweden (and i know you are swedish)
Anyway, this is my studio:
The last pic however is abit different nowdys. Its OSCar instead of a Jupiter-6
I think I could spend the rest of my life in this room without getting bored...
-
OMG that's an awesome setup -
Okay I gotta list some known and less known stuff here (since noone has done it yet for obscure reasons, or i've overlooked it) that you must check out:
Technossomy - V.T.O.L. (must have classic. check out whole "synthetic flesh" album)
Koxbox - Fuel On (must have classic. check out about everything from 94-98)
Unconscious Collective - Fluorostani Transcendance (very unique track. The very track that made me interested in goatrance and, for that matter, still the best track ever made in the genre imo)
Psychopod - Dreampod and Psychopod (Koxbox' sidepoject. check out Headlines e.p. as well)
Etnica - Trip Tonite (must have classic. laid back track. lot to check out as you probably already know)
Phreaky - Over The Moon (check out the comp. V.A. - ordor odonata 3 if you like this)
Encens - Infinite Image (nice oldschool. made several very good tracks imo.)
Sundog - Touch The Sun (very unique, played in arabian 'harmonic minor' scale)
Psychaos - Dense Dawn and Keyboard Widow (and more. classy stuff)
Subcouds - On Red and Greenflow (melodic and energetic)
Shakatura - All Hallows Morning (not very hard but very very beautiful)
Section X - Galaxian (high energy track, very repetative. all-time fav for me)
Much more ofc but that's it for now
-
Hey Ra.. Yasen I've recommended this to you before but you never replyed, I don't now if this is what you understand by uplifting euphoric trance, but I think you'd like it anyway:
Subcouds
try out the tracks "Greenflow" and "On Red" for a start
It reminds me of MFG and some of astral

FL may be a nice tool but it's just a toy compared to ableton Live
-
Motu Traveller is certainly the best you can get. Even if it was only for production Traveller would be best (RME fireface800 would be damn close though) but now that you're planning to use it live too there's no doubt at all.Ok, in the near future I'll be getting myself a laptop. Im planning to use it for production and live performance. What sound card(s), in your opinion/experience, are ideal? Price be damned, external or internal, gimme an idea what I should be looking at.

Your AKG271 headphones are superb quality and you shouldn't worry too much about frequency-curves. Mike A is right; if you want the same quality in a pair of speakers it would cost at least 600+ eurosok, does anyone know what frequencys are boosted or rolled of in my headphones

I think you're somewhat blind to the conditions of your own country: There are lots of poor people in Bulgaria who certainly don't have computers, cellphones etc. Take the gypsies for example.Man, you are nto the person to say how bulgaria is, i am sure it is and ever was way more developed than your southafrican countries, man, please don´t force me to insult your country as you did to mine. In your country people don´t know what internet is and you must pay for school, in your country kids have never seen a computer, in bulgaria every house owns computers and internet connection and cellphones, in your country they never seen a car, in bulgaria they drive cars on good roads, in your counry there aren´t roads at all, you are not from UK, you are southafrican.
-
Yeah the whole album rules. Especially "V.T.O.L."Hahaha
The Radi you so funny!
I have friend from south africa, he showed me pictures of there. It look much better than you descrobe.
And technossomy shit? Hahaha Techosommy - Synthetic flesh is the most best goa I have

Truespeaking of workflow...
LIVE fucking pwns all others

And excactly how comprehensive are your knowledge concerning Cubase? I just wonder...I'm staying with FL Stuido too! Why somebody says that FL is not profesional?
Is it because of the user friendly enviorment ? The look isn't importaint!
You think that Cubase is better 'cos it has that freaky science look.
You're wrong! And look at the price. Cubase SX 3 is around 300$ ,
and go to the FL Studio official site and if you take XXl bundle you'll
see that the price is much higher(around 700$-800$). I'm not saying that
the price decides which one is better , but think this way.
If you are going to spend 800$ on a program, it must give good performances!
As for the researches, that Cybernetika done, I don't agree only for functionality .
In my opinion the result should be 1:0, and overall should be 4:1 (FL Studio-Cubase).
I say that because there are so many options that FL gives(only if you know to use it),
and also they are very easy to use!
All in all, is't up to you!
Peace
Anyways, I happen to know some techno producers and they have long since left FL (and most of them even Reason) for more proffesional programs like Logic, Live, Cubase, Pro-tools etc... I don't thereby say that you can't get proffesional results by FL 'cause I don't know the program that well myself (I've only used it as a toy) but I doubt there are many (if any) proffesional productions made with FL as the primary sequencer. Perhaps for single purposes...

Sundog - "Touch the sun" has the best ending I can think of
-
Yeah well, I guess you're right, it just looked like a chord at first glance. Maybe he isn't that stupid after all. His eyes looks a bit stoned though, so mebbe he's high..Check the position of his thumb... he's playing a scale. Only a somewhat retarded person would play every note of a riff with the same finger...
Enough about him. SH-101 is a great synth
-
Marc Almond made cool things too. Soft Cell somehow rule though they're hard to take serious without some ironic distance
-
I think he looks pretty retarded. It's like he's completely empty, so I don't think there's much for him to express even though he now has the freedom to do so. I mean doesn't it look like he's trying to take a chord?! Only a somewhat retarded person would do that on a monophonic synth...
Edit:
Btw, I got the modulation grip too for my sh-101. I think it's a little cool to have though I really doubt I'll ever use it (and certainly not now that I'm afraid I'd appear just as retarded as this guy)

oh christ... Once again Radi raises his own experiences to universal validitybuy some 30€ sony earplugs and be happy, they have the best sound and BASS you can get IMO, they come with some clothcaps for the plugs, the clothcaps are for a better sound and bassquality, if you put the cloths on they will for sure shake your head, man, they are really very good, you won´t believe the good bass coming from them, i ahve some cheap sony and even they are very good and don´t distort on high volumes even with much BASS, but 30€ are a good price and they will shake your head. Don´t spent 100+ € for some headphones, for 150€ you can get the logitech Z-2300 which will shake the whole floor in your room and turn the room into a disco and the things on your desk will vibrate as hell, the door to your room will make heavy noises because of the POWER of the logitech speakers, and the quality of the speakers is better than the one of low and midrange DVD systems. So if you spent 150€ for headphones you are, i don´t want say it.
-
It is far from everyone who even considers getting music illegally for free for an option"Who fucking cares"
The artists probably? because many users don´t want buy the cds just because of the ordinary high shipping and other costs the shops want, Reger, it isn´t bad for the users, they can get stuff illegally, the shops just make it hard to get the stuff the users want for a fair price and with that the artists can sell the music which people even would buy if not such high prices.
-
Generally I don't.. Still it's hard for me to say if the reason I like Koxbox, and consider them one of the bests trance acts ever, has just a little to do with the fact that they're from Denmark like me..
-
I've never tried Delay Lama, but Clavia's NordModular synth has a vocal filter with vowels that can do some pretty extreme stuffIve been wondering for a long time what else is out there that can make the same vowel sounds the Delay Lama does. I remember I found one vsti that was similar but inferior. What Im really curious about is whether or not there are any hardware synths designed to make that vowel modulation.

Since you're so fond of "melodic" goatrance like astral projection and mfg, you will probably like Subcouds.I noticed that i ave much shit goa trancw which is just not emotional and come up to the statemend that Astral, mfg and hallucinogen are the best acts out there and 90 percent of the other stuff isn´t that great IMO, i just listen samples of the Jaja - blue energy cd and notice it is aktually emotiona, so my question is, is there still emotional stuff out there i might don´t know, with emotional i mean typical emotional goaish melodies.
Try these tracks for a start:
"Greenflow"
"On Red"

Very fine choice, though I would have went for the Motu traveller. Especially if it's going to be used live due to its backround lit lcd-display and the metering.
RME Fireface 400

I was going to reply the same, so here comes some additional info:
Rme and Motu's soundcards are often spoken of as being very close in soundquality, it is really a matter of personal taste. They're also often compared to each other since there are no other in that price:quality area. For me Motu wins (same reasons as Nemo's and personal taste). But others prefer RME, so if you have the chance these are the two units to compare.
And btw check out Motu's UltraLite too for an even lower price great quality unit . (10 ins/14 outs). And you should also know that the Motu 828mkII comes in considerably lower price usb 2.0 version too (think that'll be my next soundcard) in same quality.
