If you don't need a mic for recording drums (besides as overhead micing) and you are not planning to sing live, I would definately go for a condenser. they sound so much better and the only benefit you get from a dynamic mic is its ability to handle higher spl levels (sound pressure).
There are many to choose from but to give you at least one recommendation, GA Projects mics sound extremely good even they're among the cheapest (this is because they're are a general agent for musical intruments and stuff themselves so they avoid that connection link to keep the costs down). Also check out Blue and Violet designs if you can afford to go a little higher in price.
If you tell how much your price range/ limit is concerning a preamp, I can give you some recommendations there too

There are hardly any oldschool goatrance in your list. Keep in mind that the heydays of goatrance was in 94-98. Thing is that nearly everything from that era are out of production and therefore - as someone mentioned - not very accessible. The good thing is however that many good compilations with a lot of classics from that time can be found real cheap secondhand. So look out for these tooLook at all these suggestions!! This is great stuff. I'm learning a lot of great new stuff. I really appreciate this. This kind of sucks cause I'm pretty pressed for time. Work sucks!! Wish someone could tell me how to grow a money tree!!!!!
Here's what I've come up with so far. Now this is just a rough list. This is very tough to do not being able to sample these selections thoroughly like I would like to. But trust me I will defiantly do so. Also what really sucks is some of the albums that strike my intrest are going to be tough to locate. I'll be on the look out. Well here's what I've chosen so far for my upcoming order at "SaikoSounds / PsyShop." I'm sure this list will likely change once I get more time to research, listen / read. Damn I wish I could buy more then 10 but for now that's pushing it! What I don't understand is why these cd's become unavailable. This is the only style of music that I listen to that I seem to have this problem with. Figures it's slowly but surely becoming my favorite. Oh one more thing... I wish I could of read the posts that were deleted. I understand if they were completly off topic but, if they were arguments about this topic I can't help but think they would of been interesting to read to say the least.
For now in random order :
Artifack - artifackts II
Nystagmus - Immaculate Perception
Jikkenteki - the long walk home
Mantix - universal
Antix - lull
Ott - blumenkraft
The Secret Of The Thirteen Crystal Skulls - v.a.
Psykovsky - psykovsky
Neelix - no way to leave
Quasar - one day
Again very very rough list.
All thoughts are welcome.
Wish I had more time...........Trevor

It wasn't so much your opinion as your formulation that seemed a bit radish
You know - repeating yourself in the same sentence and never really be satisfied... reminds you of someone?

Sure it's easy to make a "dirty" effect i a lot of ways, but not the way a tapedeck does. Makers of expensive plug-ins (or at least Universal Audio) are trying hard to replicate that sound digitally, but none have yet done that fully satisfying. At least not when it comes to tape-delayA "dirty" effect is very easy to create with various effects over a mixer in a musicprogram, you just load the tracks and add the "dirty" effect with some compressors and other stuff, i don´t know if it is possible with compressors but it for sure is possible with all in one mastering packs and maximizers, you can easily get a "dirty" effect by setting the treshold to a wrong value, but i don´t know if you have expensive software with which you can do taht like me.

If you want quality, I'd say go forI finally bought myself a laptop to be more mobile with my equipment, now the problem is that I yet have to get myself a proper soundcard. On my old PC I used a M-Audio Delta 1010LT and was very satisfied with it. However, as far as I know there are no internal soundcards for laptops so I have to get an external one. What soundcard can you recommend me? Just assume that price doesn't really matter. And keep in mind that I've got some hardware synthies too.
Thank you
MOTU:
either: Traveller (firewire)
or: 828mkII (usb 2.0 or firewire)
for a little less cash: Ultra-lite (firewire)
All have superb audio quality and plenty of in's and out's
RME makes some good ones too

Hmm I doubt you have a so indepth knowledge of the sound characteristics of different synths that you can aktully tell when it's a SH-101 (and not)it is aktually underrated, i can´t understand the people who talk bad about this album, they have to listen more carefully to this album, i can´t understnad how this timeless art can be overrated, this is (with other simon posford stuf) the most psychedelic and driven album, tell me which other album has such synthlines with the flangers that you think they came from behind you from another dimension, tell me which album has such a amacing way of choping the synths AND voices like this album, tell me another album with such a percussion, with such cracy SH101 lines, with melodies that sound so summoning, they sound like they want to tell you something, they are the most driven ones i have ver heard, (also the old Astral Projection ones and the ones of blue planet corp and some mfg) and tell me which tracks have a so unbelievable atmosphere, the tracks let you forget about everything else, if you listen to them your whole life is different, they put you in a different world, man if you tell me antoher album that is as good and has the points mentioned, then you can diss this album, i don´t know how this very poor Simon can be dissed, he mate the lives of so much of us so much better.
Hallucinogen is not just music, it is a way of live, look you can´t buy hallucinogen T-shirts and there isn´t a hallucinogen hairstyle but if you listened enough times to hallucinogen you become a different (IMO better) person. Simon i can´t tell you how much i adore you, man, if i will have the money i wilbuy every single album and ep from you 5 times or more.
(btw I have a SH-101 myself so think carefully before you answer, Radi )

I was there back in the heydays. I started listening to goa in 96 and from 96-98 I saw live acts like Astral projection, MWNN, Orion (all three same act! and I was actually sitting on the stage 1-2m away from the artists), Koxbox, Green Nuns and so on.. So sad the style changed and the oldschool were gone...
