  1. mm..its asian bud nation btw...damn i guess my name is too similar...
  2. i know the ppl who run this site put a lot of effort in to it...and seriously, since i joined last month this site has helped me in all kinds of ways...truly a blessing to have a site like this online.. what would be cool, and im sure ppl suggested this before, and im sure u ppl here at the site have thought of it...is a chatroom...yeah..the board works wonders, but im just thinking for ppl that are online a lot and who just wanna talk about wutevers, it would be awsome to have a little simple chatroom.. i know goa.ch has one, and although theres maybe only a max of 10 ppl in there at a time, its a great way to actually get to know some of the people behind the posts and to get some immediate feedback or topics going.. dont know, just an idea... either way, more than happy with psynews the way it is now peace!!
  3. yeah theres something about the utter simplicity of the song that fascinates me...if i heard that same vocal line and melody in a trance song id laugh...could i get some wine to go along with this cheese??? but damn, still havent figured it out..its like, the bass line isnt pounding, but somehow theres this flow to the song that cant make u stop dancing... i saw timetech live 2 years ago i think and it was crazy, was truly awed by their stripped down, simple tracks...but shiat, ppl went crazy.. cool to hear that some other ppl feel the same way
  4. thanks, the rest of the track is kinda boring but theres a couple parts i like..
  5. nope, havent heard the bitmonx remix, will definately check it out though, thanks! by the way how do u insert someone else's post in as a quote, just like u did to my post?? im sure its simple but i dont just click all the buttons and do something completely embarassing.. thanks..
  6. mmm...lets see.. like a lot of u, i fully agree that etnica has gone down hill, the last time i tried listening to their more recent stuff i almost fell asleep..good production but the music didnt lead my mind anywhere... wut else wut else..i really dug the first 1200 micrograms album (i know most of u disagree), but it wasnt so much the tracks, but the quality that impressed me..but the second album was shiat.. so yeah, bye bye 1200 for me.. infected is another band who i respect for their quality but ive never been able to get into their music.. logic bomb, alien project... i could go on and on, but seriously, i respect all these people as musicians so i dont want to bash anyone too much, i just don't like their style..
  7. damn u ppl got mad lists going on anywho... i got too many favorites to list...but the one track that just moves me in some way every time i hear it is the (sorry i dont mean to be vague, but ive lost the album cover so i cant remember the name of the track)...is the 5th track off of Timetech - Notes. Is it called Sensuality?? no i dont think so, but im sure some of u know how it goes...to hear, to see, sensuality, and beauty... anyways its such a simple, laid back, and beautiful song it just hits me in the heart everytime i hear it.. other favorites include Cosma - the time has come, and a whole bunch of XV Kilist and Shiva Chandra tracks..
  8. thanks a lot!! yeah i know if definately have to go back and do some more eq, but like with my other tracks, the original reason and cubase files for disturbing behavior were lost when my computer died...so cant really do too much to fix it... thanks a lot for your feedback, will definately keep making tracks!!
  9. hey thanks a lot, means a lot to me that u actually took a couple minutes to analyze my track, need more ppl like u around!!! yeah i know theres a lot of stuff i need to change...at the moment im waiting on my new soundcard...for some reason the inputs on my current soundcard dont work with any of the software im using, so i cant use any of my hardware gear..i really want to move past just soft synths, so as soon as i get my new soundcard end of this month, ill be off!! i really want to change a lot in the "into the deep" track, i know its boring at parts and quite lengthy...but as i mentioned on the download page i just lost my entire hard drive about a month ago so all the original cubase and reason files are gone, all is four tracks, one for drums, one for synth, bass, sfx....so editing small details is a problem..but like i said, as soon as i get my new soundcard ill be making some wicked basslines on my korg electribe mx...tube warmth and all!! but yeah my main inspiration would definately be protoculture and yahel... again, thanks a bunch, i appreciate any help i get..i live in a city where no one listens to psy trance so i never get any proper feedback as to what needs improvement.. p.s kinda proud of the vocals in the one track, just recorded it at home in like 2 minutes...gave my girlfriend a mic and told her to sing...amazing how spontaneous little things like that work wonders..
  10. hey thanks a lot, means a lot to me that u actually took a couple minutes to analyze my track, need more ppl like u around!!! yeah i know theres a lot of stuff i need to change...at the moment im waiting on my new soundcard...for some reason the inputs on my current soundcard dont work with any of the software im using, so i cant use any of my hardware gear..i really want to move past just soft synths, so as soon as i get my new soundcard end of this month, ill be off!! i really want to change a lot in the "into the deep" track, i know its boring at parts and quite lengthy...but as i mentioned on the download page i just lost my entire hard drive about a month ago so all the original cubase and reason files are gone, all is four tracks, one for drums, one for synth, bass, sfx....so editing small details is a problem..but like i said, as soon as i get my new soundcard ill be making some wicked basslines on my korg electribe mx...tube warmth and all!! but yeah my main inspiration would definately be protoculture and yahel... again, thanks a bunch, i appreciate any help i get..i live in a city where no one listens to psy trance so i never get any proper feedback as to what needs improvement.. p.s kinda proud of the vocals in the one track, just recorded it at home in like 2 minutes...gave my girlfriend a mic and told her to sing...amazing how spontaneous little things like that work wonders..
  11. i doubt anyone is gonna check any of these tracks out, judging from the last post i made...but anyways, i know a lot of u have mad high speed internet and could definately spare the whole minute it would take to download a track... with my slow ass 56k connection it takes me over an hour to upload one song, so any minute you guys can give me of your time means a lot to me.. anyways, the track i suggest u download is ABN - Restless Calm, i dont know im sure some of you might enjoy it..just click the link at the bottom (the ABN experience) to go to the download and streaming page. thanks a lot, all replies are appreciated! ABN
  12. wicked track man....really, kicks some serious ass...shit listening to it im thinking ive gots to go redo all my tracks....mmmm..... anyways just wanted to say keep it up, im sure ull continue to rock dancefloors for a long time.. mm, doing a halloween gig over here in thailand and we're looking for some dark music like yours, too bad u're on the other side of the world...wutevers if u have more mp3 tracks that u feel comfortable with people downloading, hook me up and ill give em a spin on halloween!! peace p.s although its a completely different style u can download a track of mine at the link below..
  13. personally i dont think psy trance will ever be pop, no matter how hard anyone tries...mm..perhapy it will be "pop"ular...but will never equal the pop crap on tv these days...wutevers, i respect infected for what they do, and as ive studied sound engineering and make music myself, ive got to say infected are the best....not that i like their music the best, they just have such high standards of production...if u want to compare their production values to mainstream hip hop, id say ok, because they spend a lot of time and money on what they do...im not saying this is better than other music, i mean i make music with practically nothing and i can still trip out on it, its just infected are perfectionists, and their precision is like none other ive ever heard, even if other kinds of music...id compare an infection production to old pink floyd, where every sound has its place and where quality is the foremost priority.. personally i think will all this production some of the "organic" feel is lost...and the music seems almost steel cold, but production wise i cant complain.. infected have a set a standard in psy trance and producers within the genre and within other styles of music will continue to listen to their music for production inspiration...that i guarantee...
  14. i dont know...this is a bit off topic, nothing to do with the new album, but a friend of mine in europe just told me the other day that he saw an infected mushroom video clip on the equivalent of mtv???? is this true? im stuck over in asia so i have no way of confirming this...anyways my friend was saying how infected are a disgrace to psy trance, that theyve sold out, that they earn way too much money to even be respected as psy trance artists.. i on the other hand completely disagree...if a psy trance artist can make it on that level, and get that kind of exposure, then i'm gonna be right there to pat them on the back and congratulate them...finally some decent music on tv, some music with quality. personally id rather turn on the tv (not that i watch a lot of tv) and see an infected video than the same hip hop video with girls shaking their asses off...and come on, just cuz ure on tv doesnt mean uve sold out..not at all....this way infected have enough cash to keep doing what theyre doing, keep running infected studios, and keep helping upcoming artists with their production.. i dont know, im not infected's bigger fan, there's something almost too synthetic about their new music..it lacks a lot of feeling, but as far as production goes, these guys know their stuff better than most producers these days... even if their new album isnt great (havent had a chance to listen to it) they deserve support and so i'll keep doing so as long as they keep dancefloors grooving all over the world.. and come on, who wouldnt want to be infected, with shows in a different country every couple nights?? sorry to go off on a rant..but yeah, just my two cents..
  15. haha, thanks for the review...no worries, not mad at all..its just funny cuz most ppl tell me my style isnt repetitive enough and they think its hard to dance to..but anyways...and for sure ill keep producing, and i probably will get better...but u make it sound like i dont know wut im doing and like im a complete amateur...sorry to say ure wrong, but ive been rocking dancefloors here in bangkok for over a year, and people here dont even listen to psy trance, so its kind of an accomplishment for me...and yeah, i wasnt expecting anyone to tell me im the next infected or gms...i just do what i do and if u dont like my style than thats perfectly fine, but please analzye carefully and dont just say u dont like it at all and i should keep working at it... thanks
  16. i don't know, lets admit that most of us, when we're at a party, are in no state of mind to accurately judge a dj's "technique." in the end it all comes down to the tunes being spun and the "journey" which the dj takes u on from start to finish. mmm..one of the most interesting sets ive seen played was by raja ram, at at a party in switzerland that featured 1200 micrograms. although i couldnt quite follow his mix, it was strange, and unlike anything ive heard...never heard a mix that sounded that liquid...it was like he put all his tracks in a blender to liquify them and then poured this strange liquid back and forth between to cups..dont know if u follow but it was pretty crazy.... as far as progressive stuff goes i think haldolium, paste, and XV kilist have some pretty tight mixes whenever they play, not just live...was at one party where kilist played and he was mixing everything from tech house to techno with all the elements of progressive trance...that was a pretty cool night, got to hear some tunes id otherwise never listen to..
  17. its just my opinion, but i think wut u need is a multi purpose unit...for live, a compressor/limiter is favorable, basically a maximizer..however, if u can get hold of some decent plugins your problem is solved...ull probably save a lot of money and space..so yeah, just master your tracks before hand and ure all set...most club set ups have a limiter or compressor on hand so u can use that...but if ure all for outboard gear, then go for it...some compressors ive used in the past include dbx and bss compressors...for the price, they sound alright, but again, id opt for compression and maximizing in the mastering process rather than in a live set up...u have more things to worry about than compression..focus on your performance... just my opinion.. abn
  18. alright ppl, if u think the track is crap just come out and say so....i just need feedback, positive or negative...so yeah, just hit me up with your opinions.. thanks a lot..
  19. thanks...mmm...an answer more than just "the music is ok" would help a lot, but anyways, if thats the way u feel...its all good...any response is better than no response at all..
  20. hey there.. yeah i know it sounds a lot like asian dub foundation...thats why i usually just go under abn...problem is, asian bud nation kinda describes my environment, describes my mindset...so yeah....maybe ill change it, but ive been playing under that name for a year now..i just figured asian dub foundation and my stuff are on completely different ends of the music spectrum, so theres no confusion..but yeah i get that a lot....anyways, until then im just abn, suits me...although abn is a big bank in europe..ah shit, wutevers, its all good, i know who i am, so :-), thanks for pointing it out though.. plus, these days in psy trance every second artist has some tripped out name that sounds like someone else...or lets just say a lot of artists...the prefix psy if overused for sure.. mm, alright, peace
  21. Wuts up ppl? i know i already posted in the music making forum, but i dont know how many of u read all forums...anyways, ive got a new track online, actually the first track i was successfully able to upload, so if u guys wanna check it out and let me know wut u think it would be much appreciated. also, ive had problems defining my style, not that i really care, but ppl always ask me well wut do u sound like, what style is it?? and i never know wut to answer...so if u guys can figure out what direction the "sound" is headed, would be cool to get some feedback many thanks, the link is: ABN - Disturbing Behavior
  22. wuts up ppl? i just got an account at ic-musicmedia.com and ive managed to upload one of my tracks...it took me a whole hour to upload 9MB cuz of the slow ass connection over on this side of the world...anyways its one of my favorite tracks of mine, and i would really appreciate any comments or remarks u guys have. unfortunately im stuck in a city where psy trance is pretty much unknown, so ppl dont usually give me any productive remarks...so im hoping u guys can change that.. i dont really know how to describe my style...some call it trance, others call it psy trance...i dont know and i dont really care....its got its own flavor, incorporating all the kinds of music i listen to..some breaks, some psy trance, some trance...i dont know.. anyways i would be really grateful if u guys would have a listen many thanks, abn ABN - Disturbing Behavior
