to be honest ive never taken any psychedelics... nor do i think it is "necessary" to appreciate or compose psychedelic trance. I'm more of a goa guy... just incase u were wondering. If you have ever heard Goa Mix Gold/Goa Mix Silver/or Voyage Into a Trance, all paul oakenfold mixes... those may be my favorite, and dont get all snippy at me right away cuz its oakenfold, listen to it first, theres some really good stuff in it. Thats wat got me started in goa, but beyond that my favorite groups are Astral Projection.. and i love too many of their songs to name favorites... also MFG, Talamasca, Infected Mushroom, Hallucinogen, Shpongle, Simon Posford, Cosmosis, and most of the artists on the Destination Goa albums. I have smoked marijuana quite a few times tho so i'm not a total nube, i've listened to psy while high b4 and i do admitt it enhances the experience.. very trippy, and i've attempted to compose music while high before... i dont know how it affected me, all i know is it took me like 2 hours to make 1 small 30 second loop. I am going to atleast try Shrooms and MAYBE acid once just for the experience and see what the whole hype about psychedelics and this music is. as for my music, ill upload some shiz on yousend it shortly and give you a few links, unless you have AIM, MSN, or Yahoo, which would be a lot easier, if so just PM. we dont want a title that confused this SHIZZZ out of everyone... so keep it a lil more simple and meaningful... and memorable i dont even know how to spell that shit... I'm not laughing cuz i think ur studios bad, all mine is is a computer, i was laughing at the way its set up, keyboard on the midikeyboard lol... monitor on the computer... build a desk man, its easy im building a rather extensive one right now. ur quite the messy one OMG!!! I like it... it's sexy... catchy... and its global! i hate to break this to u crono... psy isn't all about gettin high and trippin on shit, i dont do acid, eat mushrooms, smoke mescaline n all that shit, yet i still make decent psy. lets not turn this compo into a weed smoking contest

Nemo... first off, Lost Buddha is one of those few people who is tryin to fix the Goa scene and tryin to get that old music back that was just about the trance. you dont have a right to be sayin stuff like that when u dont know him. and just wat exactly are you doing to help out the scene? bitching at everyone that u think you are better than? yea... techno is gay and has no trance involved. if ur gonna talk bout how good acid techno is go to a different forumn. this isn't about other scenes, this is about goa/psytrance. if u dont like the bitching, then why dont YOU leave, cuz u seem like the only one here who is really bitching, cept me, cuz now i have a reason to bitch, you. I use FL studio and with the right VST ive had no problems, even the fruity plugins are good if u use the right fx. ReFX Vanguard Albino Audiorealism Bassline Z3ta+ VB-1 Muon Tau Synth 1 etc.

sad but true... i am trying to bring the old goa back, with some newskool influences of course, can't always be the same music, genres have to evolve, it happens

I was just wondering what some of your opinions were on the Psytrance scene. Do you think it's dying? Or do you think it is alive and kicking, and getting better as we speak? To be honest it is hard for me to have an opinion on this subject. I myself have never been to any psy parties, or even heard of any around here. Living in the USA, where to me it seems like the scene is pretty much dead... it disappoints me. But I see all the time on the internet about parties going on in Europe, Israel, Brazil, India, etc. I was just curious how the scene is over there, and what could be done to bring the scene over here, yet still keep it underground Any opinions?

You know I've been thinking the same thing myself, i want to get some hardware equipment as well because i think the production quality will shoot through the roof!! Though I am only 17 and dont have the money for that sort of stuff yet.

But with the right knowledge and skill FL studio can be used to create some AWESOME quality music.

In this one I used some Vanguard for the lead synth... lots of regular FL synths tho, I normally don't use vanguard that much and i have lots of other cool VSTs like Albino2 and Zeta. Not my best track of course.
