  1. I have a copy too. There's three. But I have seen around twenty yellow copies fly by in the past two months. I think Simon is off on his details. There must have been several pressings. Also I haven't looked at the black copy in awhile but I think it is thinner. The sound is better too.
  2. I find it really strange...endah did some digging and according to Simon Holtom who was the manager at Dragonfly at the time, there were 350 releases of this and 350 releases of the other coloured flavour and some larger quantity of the black. Yet in all my searches I have never seen the multi-coloured one for sale and only once have I seen it claimed that a guy had the black one for sale. Strange that. \\n
  3. True enough. But it's really important to conduct yourself there with some basic good judgement. I really do not like the hoarders. All of my shit on Discogs is listed there because I am willing to trade it. And in fact I am going to remove the items I don't wish to trade. A tangible example here is with the release I keep emphasizing: the Crop Circles - Lunar Civilization CD single. ATM there are four people who claim to have it on there. One is private, one is honest, one I don't know about at all, and the other is completely unresponsive - DESPITE the fact that there is no indication of an unwillingness to trade AND the presence of items in the wantlist. Just really lame. \\n
  4. Another sidenote I would like to add is that I think it is particularly disgusting that people create a multiplicity of accounts to promulgate the popularity of rare releases. This is transparently obvious when you go through the individuals who want a release and you see that their profile consists of NOTHING except one item in their wantlist. This is right up there with voting 1/5 for releases based on a grudge or based on its availability for sale. The whole end result is a distortion of the perception of releases and the resultant general shitty quality of service to be realized there. \\n
  5. Macrometasomakosmos please. edit: forget it.
  6. Agreed again visine. You have an excellent insight into human nature. I myself am highly susceptible to this. I have finally caught myself though. I don't care anymore. It is hard to recognize it and even trickier to admit it. \\n
  7. No offense intended there ukiro. As a matter of fact, I recognize that there are a few 'archivists' out there to capture the era like a fly in amber. In fact I respect it and appreciate it. Melanocorypha is another good example there as well. I am not at all jealous personally about either of your collections, in fact, they are like Goa museums and NEED to be in the hands of knowledge- able, intelligent and competent individuals for permanent historical record. I am merely voicing an aggregated nausea about the whole race to accumulate items which unfortunately culminated in a few bitchy posts. Aaron, I share the same perspective as you at the moment: I wish to complete a few labels that I cherish because I have always loved them. TIP, Twisted, Flying Rhino. Additionally I want all the material of Simon Posford. That's where it terminates for me in terms of machinistic purchasing. visine, agreed. Discogs is the best for keeping track of your collection and especially (this addresses Ola's remark as well) alerting other Oggers about what you want. \\n
  8. This sounds like a terrible idea to me. Other people and organizations cannot be trusted to competently handle my donations. If I want to help out another human being I feel that I am equally capable of discriminating how and in what form those resources should be allocated. I 100% agree with you about all of this bullshit materialism however. I DO understand the nature of addiction though. Discogs is full of them. Discogs veritably reeks of competitiveness and ego. Who gives a fuck if you got all the records on a rare label? So you can make someone jealous or envious? Useless. People suck.
  9. The one without the number '3' appearing on the cover is the TIP05 release.
  10. What a pleasant surprise! My first listen to material from Asia 2001 and I was not disappointed. I'm not reviewing the whole release because it is my first listen. 'Eolis 2' is the third track on 'Psykadelia' released in 1997. It is a wonderful driving track with an excellent main line and an infectiously addictive line which I would describe as simultaneously dark and light which kicks in at 7:35. I don't have the right adjective for the feeling it provokes. Maybe something like 'fearlessly, inexorably sliding into the event horizon of a black hole' \\n
  11. Nice catch - this looks like a really interesting one. And there is something really warped with using the words 'fucking' and 'smiley' in the same sentence.
  12. No problem at all. I sent three Twisted records promo stickers too. Cheers man! \\n
  13. That sound about right Very nice! And your gold CD is on its way (sent the day I mentioned) I gave you the better condition copy I had. \\n
  14. This poll is getting rather interesting. I read an interview in which Simon was asked which were his favorite (self-made) tracks. He said they were: ...And The Day Turned To Night, Angelic Particles, and Deranger IIRC. I think he may have said Snarling Black Mabel too. So with the exception of the LSD votes, the voters ratings are in synch with Simon.
  15. I remember when LD first was announced on the Twisted website. They were advertising either the gold CDs or the special vinyl as: 'EVIL' I think it was the vinyl. I had 2 Gold CDs one of which I sold for 14 pounds. The vinyl I have seen around - and I don't think there is actually a purple vinyl. As ukiro said, it is black with purple/red sparkles or something - at least as far as I know. I was geeky enough to be in the Twisted records quake clan back then and they sent me all of the stuff they had released up untl then, which was everything up to TWS 666. Was anyone else here in that clan? I remember one guy, Heliotrope who was a very good player... Calx was also on the team, but the clan wasn't clan good (especially me) IIRC. \\n
  16. OK, I am not buying music for awhile. Gas (2) - Gas (em:t) CD 0097 Slim - Slim (em:t) CD 1195 Miasma - Miasma (em:t) CD 1197 Various - em:t 1197 (em:t) CD 2294 Qubism - Qubism (em:t) CD 2295 Various - em:t 2295 (em:t) CD 3394 Various - em:t 3394 (em:t) CD 5595 Various - em:t 5595 (em:t) CD Jesus what a pig I am.
  17. hahahah...you are an asshole!! I love it! I knew it wasn't worth that much. Now I know only one person was stupid and the other has either a grudge or was one of those children who: "Doesn't cooperate well with others."
  18. Sadly I do not - I just like to freak people out
  19. Right now I think they are deliberating on whether or not to remove the feeding tube.
  20. Good-O EDIT: Today's purchase was LSD (Substance) - 15 euros. NOW I can have a shower! \\n
  21. and it appears he would have gone to 100 pounds.
