    Sensient

One of the top on my list, that's for sure. This guy can make some hard, HARD tracks. Great stuff, totally tripped out.
  2. my friend, your a belgian no? if you own the CD, do you want to tell me what the lady is saying near the beginning of the irys incantation track? much obliged.
  3. Our way to the sun is pretty decent stuff. Especially Iry's incantation, last track, and maybe one or two in between, incantation being the best. Good melodies, structure ... One of the few acts outside the prog genre I can somewhat appreciate. Maybe someone can recommend me other acts I haven't yet heard about in the same vein?
  4. Tetraktys. One of a handful with a complete mastery of sound.
  5. can't wait to get my hands on this as well.... still haven't had a chance to check out tetraktys' side project motion.
  6. isn't it? really interesting stuff and very twisted. visions of a bad hedgehog is a funny track. though I would say it's miles from the son kite sound.
  7. have no clue but I wouldn't mind knowing what's up with Magnetrixx as well. Trittschall for me hits the spot more than Phase shift. But top quality music overall.
  8. Blasphemy! Are you nuts!??! His elocution is perfect and I would give my left kidney to measure up to his unique rythmical style of speech. Anyways, yeah good album.
  9. Tetraktys - Champagne [does that count?] Bigwigs - Pusi Intruder
  10. If you have the font "Wingdings" which is very common, the OM symbol is Character code 92 [ALT-92] (or the "\" character in normal font). I'm guessing it's the OM symbol your looking for.
  11. always have been fond of some of the bass work Magnetrixx puts out.
  12. off topic. yo Lemmiwinks, what does that tiny caption on the lower left hand of your avatar say???
  13. is that the track that one of the IM guys sing (maybe only in their live set?)? something like "i wish for the rain... la la la, and so on"? if it is I was actually listening to it on philosomatika yesterday and my psychedelic mind just recoiled in horror at the sound of that awful singing! I thought it couldn't have gone any worse when previous to that, the guy was actually ragga'ing to some reggae melody. Very amusing.
  14. hehe, you bring up a good point Redeemer, which is it's real fuckin hard to argue about these things when people don't even have a consensus on the definitions being used for words like minimal, progressive, and such. Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, the groups I refered to, Freq, Andromeda, etc. I actually meant were progressive groups, and that there are many other besides them that are definately NOT progressive as most people think of the genre. There's so many unique sounds within "progressive" (read: not Fullon or Goa) that these labels do absolutely no justice in defining these groups. But for sake of discussion, I define minimal as having not MUCH sounds, in a relative term. So I don't usually think of "nothingness" when I say minimal. So I may be referring to minimal groups, which others may consider progressive nowadays. Anyways, instead of throwing labels around, I draw some definite lines in terms of sound type as thus: classic progressive: Freq, Andromeda, Chromosome, Frogacult, Native Radio, Ticon, Son kite, Atmos, etc. more precussion based progressive, minimalish: Yumade, Paste, Planet BEN - Test, etc. [oh yeah, and Pope of Gegga, housish progressive psy. haha. real psychedelic stuff] I give Tetraktys and Sensient their own categories. And those crazy polish doing their own trippy shit - Bigwigs, Tromesa, etc. I can categorize much more groups but I'm depressed about the US elections and so I'll think I'll go cry somewhere now. Cheers
  15. ahh, how can one forget those insane days when the battle between MINIMAL and PSY raged on and on and on. Now, it is rare to find minimal mentioned anywhere. It's all about progressive, alot of which can be classified more accurately as minimal, or whatever, but definately NOT progressive as represented by sounds by such artists as Freq, Andromeda, Antix, The higher human form etc. Anyways, anyone remember Beat Bizarre - Lewd album? It's a fuckin masterpiece of the minimal genre as I best defined it. Their new album I would more accurately classify as progressive, which also is very good. Oh, and thinking about current minimal acts AKD also comes to mind for me. They have some very nice minimalish sounding tracks. last edit: np - Beat Bizarre - brain drain (rmx) God, this track gives me an orgasm.
  16. almost forgot about NOMA. Noma - Soon Noma - Another time I think two of the most beautiful tracks ever produced in psytrance.
  17. oh yes, don't forget Andromeda from profane's list. Excellent stuff.
  18. Hey, good to hear that their album is spurring on such enthusiasm. I've always digged their tracks in the various compliations, so I was hoping the album was a good one. I'll make sure to check it out. One a side note: I have to say I very much dislike Haldolium's new album. I can appreciate it for what it is, clubpsy but it's not what I like. No subtleties, no tripiness, no depth. And on top of that, vocals galore. Anyways ...
  19. hey, i like it. i think it's a pretty decent track. nice development, melody, and that fullon like synth line that comes in later. it has a very good general mood to it.
  20. what makes me doof? Well, I guess it would be the feel of the wind, that cool night air circulating through your lungs, the sight of vegetation and the stars as you listen to your favorite tunes blasting across the landscape. And drugs. you gotta have the drugs. haha Unfortunately it gets quite cold quite fast over here so only narrow time frame affords us in which we're able to hold such gatherings. Hence, no endemic term for 'outdoor parties' here as you guys do down under. In fact, a really good outdoor party is kind of rare and we're relegated mostly to holding parties indoors. Living in a metropolis, it's not actually a bad thing since we're liable to getting busted by cops stemming from noise complaints and (sometimes) lack of permits.
  21. you know, if you told me that a track had the sample, "to hear, to see, sensuality, and beauty" without having listened to the track, I might have prematurely dismissed it as some flaky cheesed out prog garbage. But timetek did indeed put together a good track with excellent use of a potentially crap sample. But then again I like the track Silent Sphere - gloryland, which many prog heads would accuse of being cheesed out to max. So...... nevermind. haha!
  22. ah ic ic. you know I haven't heard the filur remix of curved air, and I didn't really care for the p-woland remix. original knocks my socks off though. Anyways, yes now I'm sure its the remix of werewolf that I enjoyed. but lots of good tracks on there nonetheless including that ticon track.
  23. and I'll second your recommendation of cross links. Besides curved air and its remix, I remember being very fond of the remix of werewolf. (or maybe it was the original... I don' t remember now. bah! )
  24. I don't think it's too bad at all. Think I'll take a listen to your other tracks.... [gotta say though I abhor that track slowdown effect. ruins the whole flow. just a pet peeve of mine.]
