  3. Todays scene isn't better than 1995-1999 period but much much better than 2001-2003. 2004 was a very, very good year for Psy-trance.Especially after summer. And Goa still exists:Filteria-Shy Input,Ypsilon 5
  4. I've never downloaded everything in my life fretshe. They gave me some mp3 cds with this track and I've lost them. That's all.
  5. What the hell is happening? Man, every compilation I bought with SA artists is a masterpiece! I can't believe it! Power, killer melodies, amazing production, new ideas... Ladies and gentlemen this is Psy-Trance!!! So do you like South Africa? (BTW:Twisted System-Mad Method is one of the best tracks ever)
  6. Ok I've made this topic again but I want to find out which is this amazing tune. Well this is a track supposed been made by IM and called Spiritual Trance, but I know that is wrong.I can't give you a sample cause I've lost all the cds I had with downloading tracks. Also I can't give you a link cause I've search in the web and I didn't find it nowhere. But I know that it's a very known track and lot of people have download it. So if you know the real title and artist of the track it will be very helpful!
  7. I used to listen to Techno and I didn't think it's hard enough. Gabba/Hardcore has only hard kick, nothing else. Hey,I'm sorry I mean Schlab 3! Yes, I already have it D-Dave.I've never listened Schlab 2.Sorry wrong number Yes! This is what I call HARD. Especially Matutero!
  8. Harder.Harder! Just think the most HARD ever listened in your life.
  9. Hey,guys do you know any HARD track? And I mean HARD!!! Something like OSOM-Over Game or Schlabbaduerst 2. Or maybe something from the old school era like ManMadeMan-Drama. I want HARD Psy.Please help me!
  10. Ok,this is actually off-topic but it's about reviews so... Do you prefer the reviews forum or the old reviews database? It's kind of hard to find the releases, artist or tracks you want in a forum. Also database looks more official. What do you think?
  11. Hehehe. After thousands of hours reading 23(!) different books about the great mystery of Cthulhu Mythos I can finally say that Cthulhu exists!

    V/A - Utopia

UTOPIA-VARIOUS Crystal Matrix 2003 1.GMS-Goa 2.Talamasca-Atlantis 3.Zorba-El Dorado 4.Parasense-Zion 5.Earthling-Ibiza 6.Fungus Funk-Metropolis 7.Aerodance-Amazonia 8.Suria-Never Never Land 9.XP vs Edoardo-Heaven 10.Harida-Shangri-La This is the second compilation from the Portuguese label Utopia records, after the really good Awakening Soul.Utopia is a concept compilation which every track’s title is a mythical town, country or place. Great idea! The first track is from GMS and has the the name of the No1 Psy place: Goa. I know what you think…What GMS have to do with real Goa trance?Well this track is really good and yes is not Goa but at least is full of melodies. This track is the perfect example of the new GMS style.Still full on but very, very happy with cool melodies and enough power to make you jump like a cangaroo.Yeah, you can call it cheesy but is the good side of cheese Nice! Next is one is of my best artists,Lestat.I love everything from this guy although his latest tracks are more Astrix-style Atlantis is one of the simplest tracks Lestat ever made. We got a bassline, some typical Talamasca samples and a nice melody in the middle of the track. But that’s all.Ok track but nothing great. El Dorado->City of gold-Track of cheese! And this time is the bad side of it! This ain’t Psychedelic Trance. This track is cheesy, club trance perfect for Tiesto. The ONLY “Psy” in it, is the typical full-onish bassline.Crap! Thank God Parasense save the day! Zion is a typical Parasense track, nothing new but still good. The bassline is simply superb and the Morpheus’ sample fits perfectly in this one. Earthling is known as the No1# GMS clone. So, GMS-Zorba gone cheesy? Earthling goes cheesy also. Bad track here but what tou expect from a track called…Ibiza Yep, Russia again. Sergei Funk gives us the best track here.Metropolis has the typical FF sound=lot of noise, madness and this time interesting percussion also. Not his hardest track but after all this is a Crystal Matrix comp, not a Parvati one. Russia again…Aerodance are Parasense and XP.Too bad this track isn’t so good. This has a tribal percussion and the usual female vocals, but nothing else.Powerful track? No! Never Never Land is too typical full on. Bassline, some farts and a cheesy melody at the last minutes. This guy can do better than that! The same with Heaven. Typical Israeli full on again.Nothing great. Not a heavenly track. Last track is an interesting chill out Thibetian tune from a new group. Nice one. Overall:Typical full on compilation. Some good tracks, some bad tracks. 6.5/10 Fav:1,4,6(!)
  14. The number of course. You know many guys with 1000 cds?
  15. Since you mention it...how many cds you got?
  16. Astral Projection-Another World The melody repeat itself. It becomes louder and louder and guess what...It' made from Avi Nissim,Yaniv Haviv and Guy Sebbag! Is what you're looking for?
  17. Prodigal Sun-Do Not Panic! Afterburn 2003 1.Morph 145 2.Do Not Panic 145 3.White Ones (remix) 146 4.Life Mission 146 5.Sunspot 142 6.Space Crawler 145 7.Stardate 4*5*6 145 8.Vision Guitar 145 9.Lost Soul 140 Prodigal Sun are James Sheppard & Roger Mumford (Psy-Digital) from Brighton,UK and this is their second album in their label Afterburn. Do not Panic! is a full on album different from any full on act you ever listened, cause this is Acid Full On. All of the tracks are acid, twisted and colorful. First track Morph is my favorite of the album and great to enter the Prodigal Sun sound. It’s also has a superb and ACID(what else) melody around 6:04 but it lasts only for 13 seconds Do not panic and White Ones (remix of the original in their debut cd)and Life Mission are all good,Sunspot is more morning but not actually melodic. Space Crawler and Stradate 4*5*6 are two of the best tracks especially Stardate which has some really twisted tunes.Vision Guitar as you already figured has some guitars riffs.I’m not big fan of this instrument but here it’s different from most of the Guitar-tracks.Thank God you will not listen any stupid wannabe-Metallica-Skazi riffs. Although, the great about Vision Guitar is the bassline which is maybe the darkest ever made and the intro which is Scary as hell, brrr! The last track Lost Soul is a tribal track really good and of course acid! The problem with Do Not Panic! is that most of the tracks sound the same and something is missing from the whole album.Maybe some melodies, climaxes and more variation between the tracks. But in conclusion this is a release different from the 90% of the usual Full On albums of these days and of course…you got it… ACID!!!!! 7.5/10 Fav:1,6,7
  18. Four Carry Nuts-Mechanical Age Aurinko 2004 1.Hexagon 7:33 2.Mechanical Age 7:00 3.Falling Chains 7:40 4.Theory Of Gravitation 8.:13 5.The System 6:53 6.Red Shift 8:45 7.Pendulum 7:05 8.The Violet Ray 8:21 9.Convergence 16:53 Four Carry Nuts are Tim Schuldt and Detler Funder. They had released some great tracks in several compilations and 2004 was finally the year for their debut album. The great thing about Mechanical Age is that each track is unique and completelly different from the others.First track Hexagon is an old-school masterpiece reminds me a lot the amazing tracks Tim used to write some years ago (check out Singles Collection). After that is Mechanical Age which is a POWERFUL Tech-Trance track. I’m not a big fan of that style but this track blew my mind. If you love powerful German Psy Techno you will fall in love with this track. Falling Chains is in different style again.More full-onish but don’t worry this has nothing to do with the usual crap Full On of these days. The bassline is beautiful, hypnotic rhythms and great guitars also. I don’t like guitars too much but Tim knows how to combine them with Psy.Next is Theory Of Gravitation. Tech trance again but not so dirty and brutal as Mechanical Age but still good and much more emotional. The System now is what I called -Ultra dirty Hard Rock Psy-. Well I don’t think you can call this track 100% Psy Trance cause it isn’t.Heavy guitars, vocals and DIRTY percussion. To be honest I enjoyed this track. Red Shift is a morning melodic track, more trancey but still good, very emotional and beautiful.Nice track. Pendulum is one of the highlights of this album. This is perhaps nu school psy. GREAT melodies in that one and again great production, this track is simply awesome. The Violet Ray was originally released back in 2001 in a compilation called Password Is Love(XIII Bis records). What can I say about this track? Man, this is dark, evil and DARK again. The bassline is unbelievable and the effects are twisting through your brain. And these samples….Is like you have been teleported in a horror movie scenery. And the break at the end…This is the dark anthem of…2001. Last track is Convergence, melodic track with guitars, slightly melancholic not something great but still good for the morning times. This is one of the best albums of 2004 and recommended to everyone who wants to try something different.8.5/10 Fav:1(!),2,3,7,8(!!!)
  19. OREBRO FREAKFACTORY 3 Stone Age 2004 1.Miraculix-Sofisticated Electronics 2.Seroxat-Disorientation 3.KinDzaDza-Last Minute 4.Artax-Subconcsious Command 5.Derango-No Thing 6.Steptime-Timecode 7.Serba-Balkan Boys 8.Sienis-Superstation 9.Spindrift-Boogie Down 10.Kluster-Wobbler This is one of the big hits of 2004, an awesome dark compilation from the super label Stone Age. Inside the colorful artwork you’ll find some of the best dark tracks, not only of 2004 but of the last years also. First track by Miraculix.Great start here with a great tune from this guy.I love the bassline and the robotic sounds but the highlight is the final, killer melody.Boom! Seroxat from Israel is next with my favorite track I’ve ever listened from him.Psychedelia to the max and GREAT percussion, this track is a killer for all the dark lovers. KinDzaDza, the No1 Russian freak is next with Last Minute. You don’t have to wait till the last minute to enter to Lev’s world. This one starts and ends crazy.Six minutes of non stop paranoia. The bassline could be better but if you a Russian Psy fan you can’t miss this one! Artax is Lars Bergwall, brother of Jonas, member of Logic Bomb. This track is really good with great production, nice percussion and some great melodies from 4:30-5:30 reminds me the old good days, but they could last more. Next is No Thing from Derango. This is the most insane stuff ever made!!! A storm of dozens of sounds flying around in high speed, spooky melodies, evil basslines.I can’t describe it. This is something you have to listen to believe it. Steptime are next with a great tune called Timecode.Typical Steptime style here, that means if you liked several Steptime tracks you’re gonna love it. If you don’t… I love the Step-style,very original.Great track again! New name is next. Serba isn’t from Sweden (Serbia maybe?) but his style is 100% Stone Age.Cool bass, and synths, nice track.I’m waiting for new stuff from this guy. One of my favorite groups are next. Sienis! with a robotic anthem..Superstation!!! >Super track!!! This is one of my favorite dark full on tracks ever!!!(if you call it dark full on) The first half is superb,it’s gonna make you dance like crazy, while the second half is even more crazy.Madness!!!! Another Stone Age guy. Spindrift(what a cool name) with Boogie Down! This tune is amazing. The bassline is a bomb and the samples kick ass! The melodies are great and the last 1:30.OMG!!! Killer, powerful ending! Oo,it’s a party! More like this please! Final track is…Wobbler from Kluster. Darker than the usual Kluster stuff but still funny.Lot of farts here and a mysterious, spooky(?) melody. Cool track! This is a must buy!!!10/10 Fav:1,2,5(!!!),8(!!!),9
  20. DARK NEBULA-ROBOTIC TONGUE Digital Psionics 2004 1.Bugz Me 2.Phenomology 3.Fire Offering 4.Toxic Reality 5.Structural Failure 6.Sajuuk Khar 7.Hyperspace Core 8.Hordes Of The Nebula 9.Sea Of Turbulent Sound Third album from Luna Orbit (fourth if you count the Dark Files) This time Luna made an robotic(psyborg) album but still dark and spacey, powerful and truly inspired. Bugz me the first track is a perfect way to start the journey in the Nebula universe.Dark, amaaaazing production, some guitars and a voice which Bugz Me sometimes Phenomology is a great for ex-rockers.Although it hasn’t any guitars the whole track has rock feeling in it,difficult to describe it. Fire Offering is a cool track but not something great.Cool bassline, some good synths.Nice one but not the best.Toxic Reality is very dark and insane. So much noise!!! Very scary stuff. One of the best tracks here! Structural Failure is the highlight of the album. This is even darker and evil.Horror from outer space, killer melodies and insanity 100% WOW!!! Sajuuk Khar is an amazing stuff. The bassline is simply awesome, more melodies here but still powerful.Hyperspace Core is another one dark and fast, noisy stuff but again nothing great at least for me. The same with the next track Hordes Of The Nebula. Last track is great though with a killer guitar riff. In conclusion this a must buy for all the Nebula fans. The production level is way to high, the cd is ADES encode and the whole space-dark atmosphere is here better than ever! I can’t tell if it’s better that the previous DB albums cause it’s my first one but I highly recommend it to all the Dark lovers.BTW the artwork is one of the best ever! 8/10 Fav:4,5(!),6,9
