  3. Brilliant Idea! Derango definately Triskell Space Monkey Trold REV EVP Sme relatively new artists, but It'd be good to see what they are all about and what direction they are going.
  4. Unfortunately I'm on a shitty 6GB download limit per month, I listen to Philosomatika constantly, Does streaming count as downloading, in other words have I fucked it!
  5. Cool, though I suppose I should have included dates, 14th-26th!!! And RAH, I know what you mean mate!
  6. Going on hols in August, dont care where but would love to go somewhere where somekind of major Psy Festival is taking place......Any Suggestions (Gotta be somewhere pretty damn hot though)
  7. Miraculix - Search & Destroy I'd like to hear more trance like this, how do u classify it, whats everyones opinion this track. Also any similar recommendations
  8. This is my setup, I have a Motu 828, my Andromeda is connected to Ins 1 + 2 and the Fantom into 3 + 4 of the Motu, In Cubase when I record midi as audio, if I want to record the Fantom I'd have to swap it over to Ins 1 + 2 on the Motu, then back again if I wish to record the Andromeda. this is a pain in the ass, in Reason there is a setting to set how many channels are active (not that you can record in Reason), but I cant find anything like this in Cubase, is there? I'm sure all I need is more active channels. Thanx in advance
  9. Anyone know a site where I can find famous speeches?
  10. I was told to try this site when I was askin that question... http://www.pcmus.com/compressors.htm
  11. Cheers mate, cant believe I never seen that KVR site before its wicked.
  12. Is there anything like this, mostly I want to use the multi tap, infact just a VST that has multi tap delay would be top! Thanx in advance.
  13. Simple cure to that: Download ur own demo form eMule or Kazaa, I would never have bought half my software if I hadn't "demo'd" the full version. Like H2O say - "Try before buy"
  14. I second that Another happy Motu owner
  15. Ranting on about how bad Turnkey are, I nearly forgot.... I have the Tapco S8's I paid £400 for them but u can get them for £300 now, and I'M ultra impressed with them, only theY are absolutly huge, (IF SPACE IS MINIMAL DO NOT GET THEM)
  16. How the hell did u manage that!!!! I've had nothing but trouble from them and I buy from GAK now www.gak.co.uk and a guy who works there used to work at Turnkey and he says they are shite. I glad u had some good fortune with them coz they sure as hell fucked around with me.
  17. True, I have been blown away by a good few software plugins, but theres nothing like owning something real something u can touch, hardware for me is not only a great tool but a massive inspiration, and inspiration counts, it drives u as an artist and heightens ur creativity, just coming home knowing u own some wicked bits of kit, so what u need is a good balance, if a piece of hardware shouts out to u just get it!
  18. Well u got a decent pc thats a good start, not sure how much $3000 is in pounds I guess around £1500 which'll get u a fair bit if u spend it well. A quality sound card is a must, My first card was the Delta 4/10 which is around £100. Pretty cheap, but its shit hot for the money. Good monitors are a MUST, cant stress this enough, spend at least £350 on these and u'll do good. I have Tapco S8's at the moment, I paid £400.....amazing. A midi keyboard, whether u can play or not, is a damn site more creative than drawing dots on the screen. U can pick up a basic midi keyboard like the evalution mk II for around £50, very budget but it works, I'd get something nicer though for a little extra. Invest in some good software, Reason is a great tool to learn with, but u'll want Cubase/Logic without a doubt, personally I prefer Cubase, Logic has been discontinued for PC too from version 5. With all that u should have used up ur budget, all mentioned IS essential in my opinion. I'd recommend the following plugins too. Albino Vanguard***** Blinding trance tool Absynth Trilogy Atmosphere Also if u use loops a lot, Recycle is great, and Adobe Audition is a top wave editor. Good Luck
  19. Do u have any tracks online, I could be interested if I like ur music.
  20. Can't record any Vst's or plugins in Cubase, i can record an audio track of my synth but thats about all.
  21. I have a track, which is apparently by Hux Flux and GMS called "The End Of The Galaxy" is this right, I dont think it is. The track has samples from the film "Species" i think, its 9:55min, thats all I can tell ya.
  22. Exactly what I was looking for, cant believe I missed it, I must have been in that menu a billion times. Cheers
