  1. There is a great trance data base called Psychedelic Mind Expander www.psydb.net, but like u said about discogs, there are no mp3s, but an idea u might want to use is quotes, I think this an excellent way for new listeners to find artists, especially if u have no idea who the artist is or what album a track is off, this is just how I got into trance, from an old mix tape I aquired, it was mostly Hux Flux, so using a quote from Experimenting from potions I searched google, now I've got Trance coming out of my ears, or going in rather.
  2. I've been beta testing Reason 3 for a while now, at first glance I wasn't impressed, I was really hoping for more synths, and I know I should but I nevered used a compressor so the mastering suite didn't appeal to me, but I think it'll be a great tool once I learn how to use it and the combinator is also pretty good, something that should have been there from day 1. As for a demo, I expect it'll be available March 10, the release date. Can't wait!!!
  3. I'm pretty sure that the MOTU is correctly configured I've never had any problems with anything else, but I dont know how I can change the latency settings in cubase, if there are any, or would cubase just point to my MOTU?
  4. Whenever I use VST's in Cubase I find that there is quite alot of latency, is there some settings somewhere I can change.
  5. Its the centre-piece of the studio, I love it, Its better than u can dream of and Ive just finished paying for it. Really, when I first got it I had no real experience with synths, its my first bit of hardware, and the most synth programming I'd ever done was changing the filter on presets in Reason, now I know exactly what I'm doing its amazing and the quality and lushness is just mind blowing, now I'm addicted to hardware, so next in line are the Fantom XR and the V-Synth XT. Remember when ur buying equipment and u have a tight budget, dont look at the most expensive one just to see what it looks like, u find u no longer want a basic midi keyboard (Roland A37) and u begin to think of ways around the budget (plastic) and end up spending 7x more than intended. (The A6)
  6. I noticed nobody really uses hardware then, I was planning on getting some new synths, Fantom XR and V-synth XT, what are ur opinions of these and would u recommend any other hardware/synths. Do u think software is the way forward, In my experience I was always against hardware having started out on Reason, but I'm begining to think that hardware has the edge over software, quality-wise, this is quite obvious when I use the Andromeda and compare it to the likes of the Subtractor in Reason.
  7. Shit!! I got the same problem, I think its coz I installed the beta while 2.5 was still installed which ur not supposed to do, I was hoping it would go away if I reinstalled 2.5, aint tried it yet though! I hate formating!!
  8. Posted this in the general forum , completely forgot about this one Anybody making psytrance, what kind of equipment do u use? synths, programs etc. I mainly use Reason and have various VSTs I use with Cubase, (mostly NI instruments) and have an Andromeda A6.
