  1. That brings back memories - when we used to venture down to London to go out in Brixton we'd always begin at the Vietnamese Noodle bar next to where Pendragon records was on Coldharbour Lane (tofu & Egg Fried rice - sets you up for the night!) , then a few beers at the pub nearby (Prince Albert?) and then the one at the top of the road, then suitably refreshed - a nights disco dancing..
  2. Anyone any idea where the other too rooms are going to go - in years gone by (Pendragon & RTTS) I've seen the foyer, the upstairs corridor & the upstairs VIP room used as extra rooms.
  3. Brixton Acadamy?? I've been there quite a few times to dance events that have been full and, although it can get busy, it never gets too rammed in the main room as its so big & wide - so its abit different to say SEOne which can be a nightmare if everyone wants to get into the main room at the same time - the Academy is designed for everyone to be in the main room at the same time.

WHITE OVERTONE WIZARD makes his debut on Planet Zogg, having just released his debut album “Positivitize” out on John 00 Fleming’s Joof records. The high energy psy/trance cross over sound impressed Joof that much that they branched out into releasing their first psy album – check it out at http://www.audiojelly.com/bonzai/compilations.cfm?id=1655 DJ POD has become a firm fave on Zogg through his regular visits. Pod has promoted Bristol’s legendary Ripsnorter night for over 8 years, as well as being a resident at Tribe of Frog. He has a taste for high energy throbbing trance-techno with a psychedelic edge – which is good – ‘cos so do we! ANTACID was one of the folk behind the NTA, Sheffield’s long tuning techno free party crew, as well as running various weird and wonderful wrong music type nights. Who knows what he’ll be playing at Zogg, but we’re sure it’ll be good. DIL & GREG ZOGG - as ever the Zogg twins complete the line up “joining the dots from trance to techno to psy” as the blurb goes or hyperdelic trance techno as we used to say in the old days. There will of course be lots of cosmic décor and visuals, performers, visitations, stall and dayglo-ness a plenty, as well as quite a few surprises… DISCOTECA COSMIKA!!

    gnomeland 3

Make sure you wrap up warm & wear sturdy footwear! Looks like it'll be right laugh - I'm elsewhere at another party so sadly cannot make it...
  9. Cabbage is coming up to its EIGHTH BIRTHDAY of doing monthly events - last sat of the month. It used to alternate beween techno and psy trance, but has shifted recently to pretty much all psy events (the part of the crew that were into techno decided to go off & do their own thing) - next one is on 27 May with Laughing Bhudda & Mick Chaos. They're abit slack on their advertising as they ram the Windy centre every month anyway - its a bit of a Leeds institution. You can get more info at http://www.cabbage-leeds.org.uk/ Anyway - enough hi-jacking the Crystal thread - great line up tonight - would love to have seen Shane Gobi rocking the place - but will be in Sheffield watching the Commecial Hippies - have a great night whoever goes down to the Windy
  10. I had a good time at Sonica last year - good line up , nice weather, friendly crowd, ace lakeside town nearby - but somehow it was missing the added magic of Boom or Samothraki - so was quite happy trying somewhere closer to home this year. Shamania looks like it'll be right laugh - though I'd imagine it'll be a very Northern type event and cannot imagine the "Beautiful People" will be out in force - but think I prefer a 'aving it crowd to a pretty crowd!
  11. Just curious as to how much you would normally spend on a festival?
  12. £38 too much for a festival???Blimey! have you just arrived from a time portal from 1971?? You wont get much better value in the UK this summer - and its not that far from Leeds either...
  13. PLANET ZOGG Sat 14 May Zero, Matilda St, Sheffield S1 4QD 10:30pm/6am http://www.planetzogg.co.uk Planet Zogg… joining the dots from trance... to techno... to psy! KRISTIAN (Chichime/Psygate/Phantasm) TEKNO HIPPIE (Sunrise) LAM (Black Moon KPG) STE WILKINSON DIL & GREG ZOGG (Planet Zogg) Zogg brings you another all night trip through hyperdelia in a full on cosmic visual environment. This month Zogg is on a bit more of a psychedelic trip with a Sheffield debut from KRISTIAN, resident DJ at Psygate and Chichime who’s been wowing parties all over the UK and beyond with his techie driving psy-trance. Kristian mixed a couple of releases for the much missed Transient label and is now working with the thankfully very much still with us Phantasm records. This summer Kristian is playing at festival all over Europe including the Glade and Sonica, so we’re very glad to have him up rocking Zogg. Zogg’s good mate TEKNO HIPPIE makes a welcome return across the Pennines with his uplifting groovy trance. LAM brings a touch of Thai beach party magic to the slightly less tropical surrounding of Matilda St, and STE WILKINSON rejoins us for second helping of driving tech trance. DIL & GREG ZOGG complete the bill as ever with some full on tribal trance techno. JEDI and TRANCEVISUALS.COM provide the cosmic visuals, there’ll be UV stalls and surprises a plenty. We hope to see you on the 14th and remember.. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!
  14. Theres a lot of things wrong with Antiworld but to be fair to them - they've always had different rooms of music at their parties and there's not normally problems with Djs/acts not turning up - this time it was supposedly due to a "misunderstanding" with Skazi & co re: travel arrangements... Though Djs/acts not turning up does seem to be more of problem for night time type acts in London just now... not sure why that should be...
