Hi It's always the same story Psynews is in coma i dont have much time i will do it Psynews2 has been in project since 3 years but the development itself was restarted several times and it's like 4 months old. Not even saying that Children has been missing for 9 months. Please be patient.

Hello Hum 10 days ago the server's power supply started burning, but we could stop it just in time (or so we thought). After replacing the power supply it worked quite bad, though (reboots on big hard disks reads). Since april 2nd, no psynews at all : this is due to the fact that i'm changing my isp and the new one was late at sending me the modem. I'm sorry for that. The benefit is that for now on, you'll have 4x the bandwidth you had before !!! The bad thing is that the server never worked well anymore and i noticed this morning that the motherboard was in fact damaged by the fire too...so now psynews is currently running on my home pc (!) that i configured in a urge. I Hope that's all for the bad news. Please spread the info around you that psynews is back and enjoy the forum again. fabien mars.

In my opinion if you think his melodies are always about the same, them you must think all the full on tracks are one and only track released thousand of times since 2001 no offense. constructive comments like yours are always great. personnally i think he makes great music though he could indeed spend more time on the tracks. don't forget he started making music not long ago. i don't know if you've tried but it's not so easy to make a consistent track. so doing this after a few months is already an achievement !

about version 2, we're in a strange situation. i'm doing a side thing currently, that may help me later. my work takes a lot of time and i dont have much usually. children is impossible to contact since august (dead ? i'm really wondering). i'm on psynews v2, it's like a personnal challenge now. it wil be released one day, i swear

Hello I will upgrade the psynews-basement server tonight or tomorrow. My beloved old P2-400 192Ram from 1998 must be retired now. I'l give it to a friend of mine who will set up his own linux webserver box. The server will be replaced by my current machine, an unbreakable 2-years-old Athlon 1400 Mhz, 512Ram. It will be enough to serve anything. All softwares will be replaced by their latest version (apache, mysql, php) and the OS will still be the-custommized-WinXP-Pro-of-mine-even-Blaster-couldn't-shutdown You know all, so prepare for a dead link for a few hours. they are not organized internally like that. they only have an internal genre attribute. else it could help making some stats for example.

That's amazing, i read the essay on this site yesterday, and i was also surprised to see a reference to this FLK song. Imo that's a matter of tastes to qualify it as psytrance or not. we are swimming into massive subjectiveness in this post )) Being already into techno musics by 1990, i think there were psy influences all around the scenes in the early 90's. More than influences, actually : early Juno reactor or SFX are good examples. Personnally i see no offical psy music before 1991. The official (commercial) begining being in 1993. Before that...hmmm hard to tell. In france, the first parties organized by TBE (a big psy parties organizer here) were in 1990...i saw the flyers. I heard some recordings of some sets and it was mainly a gathering of several tracks selected for their "special" content. Very subjective too. Well, even Yello guys from CH had psy influences...they are older than KLF. I should listen to them again and watch the releases dates to tell. I havent the cds here, so if anyone has a fresher remembering about their releases...don't hesistate.
