    GMS - No Rules

I was hoping for some evolving from GMS. But no. This is almost the same. The production seems to be better tho. More clear and clean sounds. This album strictly follows the rules of GMS. And you all know what that means. But if you like GMS you will ofcourse enjoy it. I think GMS is kinda good and freaky but it's gets boring too fast. A whole album with them is just too much. It's time to change boys. Final Verdict: 6/10
  3. V/A - Psychedelic Sparks Artist: Various Title: Psychedelic Sparks Label: Inpsyde Media Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 05'52" Etack : For Red 02. 07'29" The Bastard : Crispy Crunchy Buffet Beast 03. 08'26" Promon : Throbbing Hobbits 04. 08'22" Psychopat : Spiral Landing 05. 07'28" De-Fect : Bouncing Shrooms And Giggleing Gnomes 06. 07'10" Amygdala : Synaptic Misfire 07. 08'14" Synsun : Replycant 08. 08'17" Agalactia : Awkward Lightrate 09. 07'10" Torakka : Greasy Fingers 10. 04'42" Solstice : Ricochet Review: Finally! It's here! Let's get right on it. The CD starts out with a full on hard track. Seems like a peacefull track in the beginning but it's not. Strong kick and wobbling distorted sounds. This is a really "squeaky" track. Near the middle there is a sample saying something about killing someone. Scary huh? and after that there is some breakbeats which is really good. You can catch you breath again just to loose it when the madness starts again. Good track with good percussion, but it could have been more of that. The weakness is the kick. It's too hard and "snappy". The bassline is good tho. Deep and and crunchy. Next track is a more progressive one. Evolving with new sounds all the time. Actually...That covers the whole track. it's a good track no doubt of that. The track have very good moments. Near the middle there is a short pause and a awesome sound. After that more percussions starts and that is good. Too bad he stops using them so fast. But still, good job. Next up is Promon. And i must say that i think this track is the weakest on the comp. You can barely hear the kick. And it seems that there is just random sounds thrown in here and there. That can be good in a track but not in this one. In the middle when the track reaches it top point. There is just no logic at all, it is just noises who create nothing. Irritating...Let's move on. After 3 kinda dark tracks it's time for a little more psychedelia. The track starts with a sample and is building up from that. And after 2mins it has lift off. It has that typical full on feeling but was missing is a insane melodie. There is always sounds 'n noises bouncing around and in the middle you actually get your melodie. And it's a hard one. A grinding sound that never seems to stop The kick and bassline is good and fresh. The insanity in the middle almost have that "random-feeling". the De-Fect track has a nice groove. Everything appears to be much more under control here. A swedish sample can be heard in the background a few times in the beginning, but it's really hard to hear so I even don't bother to translate it. There is a more clear sample, can be same sample, saying something like: "ooh, the mushroom doesn't explode". This track have also squeaky wobbling sounds as a "main sound" if you know what i mean. The track keeps going with these sounds which forms somekind of melodie all the time. And near the end there is another sample in swedish saying "jättesvampar överallt" which means "giantmushrooms everywhere". Fun to have swedish samples for a change Good and noisy track. Let's go for the Amygdala track. And I have heard alot about this guy :-) And boy! he IS good! The track has a awesome groove and rythm. In the beginning you think 'what a weak bass' but that is not the real bass The track really catches you when the real stuff comes along. I'm digging along all the time. Nice! And the middle is just perfect. And so are the end. It just keeps on coming. The production is more clear than in the other tracks. Next track with Synsun is...how shall i put this? Is RAW. Full on 100% pure madness. The track really grinding you brain to pieces. Reminds me of Hux-Flux. Many noises, under full control. This is good. Even tho some sounds is alittle too much. But i never gets irritating. to make it simple; a helluva crazy track. next up is Agalactia. And man! Best track on the CD. Wooohaaaa! it's easy to hear that he is from Israel without knowing it :-) It starts out with some atmospheric sounds. a kick starts. together with some strange bassline. then it kinda stops. Just to start again and smack you in the face with a VERY GOOD melodie. It's so damn good! Not cheezy in any way. And the break in the middle! geeeez! "one two three four" lalalaalaaaallaaa and after that. Another melodie that is so *f-word* good starts and just makes you move. This is a killer track. The next two tracks are chilloutish. They are great. The track buy Torokka is faster and more rythmic while the Solstice track is more ambient with female vocals. Thats it. It ends here. This is a good CD and everyone should have it. tsss best track is: Amygdala, Synsun and Agalactica(!) The cover on the CD is great. And i must say that everyone involved in this project has made a wonderful job. Thank you! Final Verdict: 7.2/10
  4. Shpongle-wannabe or not, this is very good stuff! Final Verdict: 9/10

  6. Vibrasphere - Nino Loco Artist: Vibrasphere Title: Nino Loco Label: Dragonfly Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'55" Nino Loco 02. 08'11" Sendero Review: Nino Loco is taken from Order Ordona vol. 6 so. So what? :-) It's a smooth trancy prog track with pretty much atmosphere. Every sound seems to be so balanced. The kick, bassline is perfect. They don't steal the whole track as might happen. The fact that it lacks percussions they compliment with synth sounds here and there. Sendero is pretty much as Nino Loco only completly differnet. ehh? the structure is the same...uhm. But this one is more rythmic. Too bad these two tracks dosen't explode at the end. Then it might be two killers we got here But now, no. Final Verdict: 6.7/10
  7. Vad lirade han för nåt?
  8. If it comes in a digipack i wont buy it :-)

  10. Analog Pussy - Vinyl Trax Artist: Analog Pussy Title: Vinyl Trax Label: AP Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 08'10" Space Walk 02. 07'11" Hanging Myself Comfortably 03. 08'55" Ball Banger 04. 08'02" Generator Man 05. 06'01" Discotek 06. 09'53" Tails From The Crypt 07. 08'11" Audio Santo (Rmx) 08. 08'27" Death Roll Review: As this is a compilation with Analog's greatest(?) vinyl tracks there is alot of people already heard them. But I have not. Well...I saw them live once and...I wasn't impressed. I'm not a big fan of Analog Pussy but I thought this comp maybe was worth a shot. But anyway...Every track has that dark feeling. Not the good dark feeling like Dark Soho or The Delta imo. The first two tracks are not very interesting, the bas keeps kicking with a deep bassline and some noises on top of that. Ball Banger I like more. It has more than the deep sounds and is much more catchy with a groovy bassline and hi-hats. The next track is about the same...Starts dark and then gets more 'fun' if you know what i mean. But it seems to never really starts. When you think it will take of, the tracks ends. weird. The lion and the witch is not as good as the two previous tracks. Sounds more like techno with that BAM BAM BAM and a hard snare/clap. However, the pause near the end is kinda cool. Nice sound and melodie indeed. Discotek is...I don't really know but it's slow and slightly breakbeaty The next track i don't like at all. It's terrible. So simple and it really lacks of imagination. Again that bas and noisy basline keep going and some percussions on that. Audio Santo remix as better, but not good. What an incredible stupid sample they put in. Has some cool wobbling sounds thruout the track. The last track is minimal ala XV Kilist rip off. And thats it! I don't know but Analog Pussy gives me the feeling of some sort of techno. Their problem imo is the total lack of imagination. Maybe it's just me. Final Verdict: 5/10

    Sphere - Rotation

Sphere - Rotation Artist: Sphere Title: Rotation Label: Insolation Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'50" Symbiont 02. 04'07" Still 03. 08'21" Outside 04. 11'10" Angela's Anger 05. 07'02" Volt 06. 06'42" Walkin On Air (Rmx) 07. 06'11" Golden Days 08. 08'59" Quiet Island 09. 05'48" New Beginning 10. 06'51" Rotation Review: This is a really weird album. It contains some tracks (number: 2, 7, 9) where they (someone) sings. yeah, thats right...real singing. I was like: What the hell is this?! But...His voice is kinda good. Imagine most of the tracks ala Haldolium with a little touch of X-Dream. You know, techtrance or something. The add some... how should i put this? Depeche Mode lyrics/songs. Strange indeed. I usually 'hate' lyrics but this isn't that bad. The combine the electro elements along with the singing fairly good. The psy tracks are hard, pumping, driving stompers. You have heard it before so don't expect something you haven't heard, apart from the lyric tracks. Listen before you purchase this. Minimal diggers would dig this one I belive. Final Verdict: 6/10
  12. I only have around 50 CD's. But endless many mp3's :-/ Sorry for that. But if it weren't for mp3's, I wouldn't buy half as many records I buy now.

    X-Dream - Irritant

X-Dream - Irritant Artist: X-Dream Title: Irritant Label: Nova Tekk Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 08'25" Irritant 02. 07'45" Rewind 03. 08'00" No Process 04. 07'12" Thorazin 05. 08'35" Peters Hoover 06. 06'08" Fall Out (Dong Edit) 07. 07'31" Universal Chaos 08. 07'22" Intercorporal Stimulator 09. 05'14" Magic Moment (Rmx) 10. 04'01" All Rights Reserved Review: Wow! Extremly powerful album. Like a mix of The Delta and X-Dream - Radio. Just slightly minimal. Strong beats all the time. Wicked synths and those pauses are just awesome. The last two tracks are more groovy and experimentel. Anyway...I just think everyone should get this, if you want a 'heavy' album. I can't wait to play it LOUD :-) I think Tharorazin is the best track here. WOWOWOWWOWOWWWAAAA! Final Verdict: 8/10
  16. Electric Universe - Unify Artist: Electric Universe Title: Unify Label: Spirit Zone Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 06'49" Solylun 02. 06'56" Activate 03. 07'21" Fire Wire 04. 08'41" Lumiere 05. 07'23" Impulse 06. 08'54" Exciter 07. 07'38" Embrace It 08. 06'39" Transmission 09. 05'27" Jetzt 10. 08'01" Gayatri Review: Here we go again :-) It's nice to here something more melodic in these days. It starts out very good with a nice good old fashion track. That typical synth sound bouncing up and down in the background together with some atmospheric (atmosphere) sounds and some regular sound effects. The next track has a more groovy feel to it. But the melodie is still there going up and down. Too bad it has a terrbile sample in it. Track #3 is a little more screamy then the first two tracks. Has a little more psychedelic touch to it. The melodie is simply perfect. Blends in very nice. The next track is...what shall i say. Less groovy and more close to cheesy. I don't really like that track. Track #5 is different. Less melodies and more sound effects. But the groove is here again. A much more hard track then the other ones. Next tracks is more like track #3. The melodie is more psychedelic, harder and scratchier. The end of the tracks is very good. Good percussions makes a cool beat. Track #7 is pretty much the same as the previous track. Actually, there is nothing more to say about that track. Number 8: yet another fine melodie. Sometimes they through in awesome percussions whom, unfortunatly, are being lost in the melodie. Too bad. The next track is slow. What to say. Good try. Nothing special about it. But it aint bad because of that. The last track is also ambient. But this one is better. Has some nice voices and cheesy sounds wich fits in well. Cool beat also. Anyway...If you are into more melodic goa you will like this. Sorry I can't compare this to the previous albums as I have not heard them :-/ Final Verdict: 7/10
  17. haha =) well...maybe i was a little too tired when I wrote it :-) but hey...it really is a strange release Funny thing it took me sooo damn long time writing that little review. V/A - Mechanism

V/A - Mechanism Artist: Various Title: Mechanism Label: Spiral Trax Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'03" Bushbumpas : Bushrock 02. 09'19" Prisoners Of The Sun : Mandy 03. 08'37" Quarz : Wilde Werft 04. 06'46" Neum : Beezulbubbles 05. 07'59" Bio-D : Black Magic Woman 06. 07'51" Double Dragon : Tin Drum 07. 09'15" Allaby : Electrostatic 08. 07'57" Shaff Puff : Red Sky 09. 08'53" Proto Culture : Superhighway Review: This one is pretty good. And it is also very bad. Some tracks is really smooth and joyable. Some (or at least one) are almost shit. It's kind of a weird style. Not minimal but yet not melodic. But it's more on the minimal side. At some points it even sounds cheesy...yes, believe it or not. And also dark sometimes. hmmm...I don't really like track 3 and 4. They are too minimal and has a strange bas. The other tracks are better. A little more psychedelic and more melodic. Anyway...if you like...uhm...some kind of psy you might enjoy this Final Verdict: 7/10
  19. Hux-Flux is the best live act i have seen so far. Expect everything :-)

    Quarz - SI O2

Quarz - SI O2 Artist: Quarz Title: SI O2 Label: Nova Tekk Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'13" Fruhaufsteher 02. 08'21" Schichtwechsel 03. 07'02" King Lui 04. 09'20" Heisser Atem 05. 08'23" Reale Welt 06. 08'43" Inkubation 07. 08'22" Century 08. 07'50" Schlafwandler 09. 08'12" Tempel Twist Review: Yet another minimal review from the not-minimal-dude. Therefor, I will make it easy. This is dark ultra minimal. I think...imo it is And I don't like this. Maybe it's cool at a party or something. Anyone who like minimal will like this. Final Verdict: 5/10
  21. Nuclear Ramjet - Delta And Evolution Artist: Nuclear Ramjet Title: Delta And Evolution Label: Iboga Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 09'49" Delta 02. 07'54" Evolution Review: Dark partydrivers. A little like The Delta later stuff. I would say The Delta - A + B sounds like these tracks. I like Evolution best. Has a nice break in the middle and is also faster then the Delta track. Not much for a review maybe. But this is a fair release. Final Verdict: 7/10
