  1. they are coming to austria/vienna too.

guess i will check it out

    Yep, yep, yep ... May 4th ... I can't wait

And no matter what sound they play now (according to EP it will be boring fullon, which isn't so good news), I have never seen them live and I think I absolutely need to, no matter how they are now, they made amazing stuff back then :)

  2. I'd say I'm mostly into scandinavian prog morning ... no crazy stuff though, that's why I didn't vote for the northern europe one.

S-Range, Matenda, Human Blue ... I love

But it's not crazy. Etnoscope would fit rather under crazy maybe. No, not maybe ... actually actually.

Ah, fuck it, I voted for prog morning...

    No, the covers are

    1. Trying to sell music generally considered low quality through unnecessary use of the female body form.

    232885[/snapback]

    I think Feuerhake's great music.

And I even like the cover, it's not gay in any way IMHO...

And the other one, the Psychedelic Blonde ... it can't be bad music with artists like Human Blue, Prex and 12 Moons...

  4. MATENDA - SMIRI SE

    Nothing comes close to that!

This is just ... my frequency!

    Other ones are:

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Central Plains + Tensor

    Eat Static - Abduction

    Matenda - No Return

Shpongle - Around The World In A Tea Daze (Ott Remix)

    Bluetech - Prophetic Sines

    Saafi Bros. - Wellness Farm

    Björn Lynne - Messages

  5. I recently liked Bluetech - Prima Mateira ... and Red Seal - Black Ops.

But this phasis is already passing. Currently the psy is not that much present ... I mean, I listen to the ordinary random mp3s from my list, but I'm not hooked on psy right now.

But I already know that I will be hooked on ConSequencer soon ... ask me again in a couple of weeks, because I actually have just one song yet :)

Currently I'm on Enigma - MCMXC A.D. and Bathory - Nordland II because I got both cheap recently.

  6. I don't know much of Muslimgauze.

But what I would say is, that his music fits IMHO more into Noise/Dark Ambient than in Ambient, because I would say that there's more similarity to noise/dark ambient (I'd say "Dark Ambient Dub") artists than to the music which people on these forums here classify as ambient ... if you listen to "Arab Jerusalem", that's definitely noise IMHO ... the rest I have heard reminds me of dub...

  7. I already can say a clear no, for the best party I have been to until now has taken place this year.

And BTW, in the last time I register another trend into a much "housier" musical direction ... well, I don't know if it's just me, but I say that soon there will be open a third section which isn't fullon and isn't dark psy techno, but nice danceable morning-tech-trance-touched stuff

  8. "Bitte seien Sie vorsichtig mit den Geschlechtsorganen"

    Atmos - Klein aber Doctor

LOL, I always thought she means GESCHÄFTSUNTERLAGEN

    Anyway, my favourite:

    S-Range - 2001:

"I believe that there must be many, many higher civilisations in this enormous and (one word I don't understand) ancient universe."

  9. Oh wow.

I didn't expect this to come up again...

A big thankies goes to all people who gave me recommendations, I will make a list now and will start searching the stuff (currently I have absolutely no money, spent everything on metal ... I need to save money now for some months :P ).

But I'll surely get some of the works.

However, I checked out Exuviae, Liquid Mind and Vidna Obmana so far and they are rather music that I would listen to to get me to sleep...

Meanwhile I realized that there is nothing like Smiri Se - athough I didn't yet check out Healer and Ishq, but I somehow feel that I won't find a similar piece that gives me the same energy and a same feeling, I somehow know it...

Really. It's just this perfect sound, the right key to fit in the lock - every song is a key, but only this one fits into the lock...

Nevertheless, I thank you all very much and I still will make a list and I will definitely get some of the stuff one day, because it's really good ambient :)

  10. a "psychedelic experience" is only psychedelic if psychedelic drugs are used. if there are no psychedelic drugs used. its not psychedelic. as simple as that.  so no, you cant turn it into a true psychedelic experience without the use of psychedelic drugs.

I would say that's a little of a dogmatic view.

In general I think that the "fact" (for some people on here it obviously seems to be some sort of) that psychedelic music and psychedelic drugs belong together like they are "one thing" shouldn't be treated as that much of a fact.

It's all in your mind. The drugs invoke special chemical reactions in your brain - reactions that make the brain work in a certain other way, a "psychedelic" way. But what if a person has this state of mind naturally? Well ... I know, you can't double the effect of drugs naturally, but still ... some people have another mind than others.

For me psychedelic music and drugs do not go hand in hand - not at all. The music is just a guide for my mind, the mind will do the rest, whether it is set on drugs or not!

I wouldn't doubt that the experience might be a more intense one on drugs, but ... I'm of the opinion it works without quite well either...

  11. I don't understand if the clubbers who cheer as you say are mostly people not aware of the much better stuff out there, or is lyrics and crap finally becoming accepted in psytrance overall, because DJ's and artists keep encouraging it? It seems very few people on these forums likes the thought of singing or pop in psytrance, and we make up a general view of listeners from all over the world, so why does it seem different in the actual clubs?

A very interesting and true point.

I always ask myself this question. Around here on these forums there are only very few people who seem to enjoy the fullon stuff.

And that's exactly the thing I don't get - so few people like it, why does it get bigger and bigger and bigger?

Either we are all false and do all love fullon stuff ... ;)

...or there is a shitload more people out there who actually are mad about the stuff and adore it.

    And I think so.

There are a lot more people out there who love it, that's my opinion.

I know a girl who's more on that side. She listens to psy all day ... and guess what she was playin' as we were at her place: fullon.

She doesn't even have heard of Son Kite and lives in her own fullon "goa" world.

And people like her won't come here, because they have their own local community and use the net just for downloading songs (she has practically not a single original album - just about hundred burned CDRs).

    Nice, isn't it?

  12. Hi!

I'm looking for some stuff again (actually practically always, but well ... now I need your help :) ).

In the past few weeks I put on the track Matenda - Smiri Se pretty often and I loved it. And once in the evening I just closed my eyes to it and let me drift and imagined some energy flowing through me and lifting me up... it was a wonderful thing as after this experience I felt like I had just drunk three Red Bull - I was active, energetic, happy ... incredible! what I had practically been doing was an energy refreshment or whatever it's called ... anyway, that's not the point.

Now I really want more music for those occasions. But it's hard to find for me as it's not the characteristic ambient what I'm looking for ... Carbon Based Lifeforms for example, that doesn't lift me up in the way Matenda's Smiri Se does. CBL are relaxing and very good music, but it rather puts me to sleep than making me waking up.

The Ott remix of Shpongle - Around The World In A Tea Daze is pretty good, but it has too much bass. I can't meditate to this so well ... Smiri Se has not a single bass beat, just synth!

Solar Fields - Third Time is okay, but it's also not that uplifting. I need it uplifting! But the bass is okay ... no piece for these occasions should have more bass than that.

MOS - Outside ... that's a pretty good track, but it's too dark somehow.

I just don't find good other examples.

Smiri Se - and no other, even Matenda's other chill tracks I know (nearly all) are not suitable.

    Please help me...

  13. its the same in all genres IMHO....

    So true.

The money is responsible for all that!

Damn, that's why I'm so much "focused" on "underground", because if artists step up the ladder and get to taste money and fame their productions will very likely lose quality as they begin to make a profession out of what has been fun before!

Of course there are exceptions - fortunately!

But we may not forget that many artists travel this way.

That's why I always want to keep it underground...

  14. I don't think there's any music which can be more underground, extreme and hard from Dark Psy.

I have a friend who listens to Black and Death Metal (Deicide,Immortal,Cannibal Corpse etc.) but he can't stand a minute from KinDzaDza or Droidsect.

LOL, actually the line with the "black metal" was intended to be a half-joke.

I know I'm addicted to psy and would never stop hearing it :)

But I still think that seen from the underground side Black Metal is more underground than psy ... It has a more underground dungeon atmosfear at least. And of course not the "well-known" side, I mean the really unknown bands ... in the psy scene there aren't so many local little acts - just DJs, but no acts! At least this is the case here ... I can't think of so many little austrian live acts in the psy scene ... or maybe I'm not underground enough ... but in the BM scene there are many little pseudo-bands and stuff. And this section never can be commercialized, because those commercial shitfucks out there are not open minded and it would only lead to fights with the metallers...

  15. popsy...; )))

    No.

    Poopsy!

    Britney spears remix.

    *spits*

And we have not reached the bottom yet ... just wait until the tekkno-skins discover it...

    Mass-fight at a psy-party.

    I see it coming!

    Beware the future.

    I'll go black metal.

    At least that's underground enough.

And now I even have a reason to listen to this music: I AM PISSED!
