  1. I think dark psy is a different kind of dark. The albums listed are really dark. The atmosphere is dark without the need for evil or scary elements/samples. Dark psy often sounds to me like an amateur trying to create a proper dark atmosphere. But that's just me  :)

I somehow understand what you mean ...

I can agreee for the battle of the future buddhas

but honestley saying that x dream radio or the delta is the darkest is just nonsence ...

listen to alienated and the orichalcum that's what I call dark atmosphere ....

  2. lol you talk about dark albums but don't mention a SINGLE dark trance artist... Also some of the albums you mentioned in there are anything but dark (MOS - Drive, Chi AD - Anno Domini, Toi Doi - Technologic,...). Might as well put Skazi up there while you're at it...

anyway, I voted for Xenomorph :)

    I totally agree ...

It's a mystery to me how someone in 2006 still thinks the delta : Scizoeffective or x-dream : radio is dark music

It's like they are stuck in 1999 ...

  3. You would be suprised to know that 90% of people dealing with psy trance as listeners, artists,dj's or whatever rarely listen to psy trance in their everyday life and in their house.

I agree for artists but disagree that dj's don't listen to psytrance in their everyday life

  4. Yeah X-mix was DA SHIT !!

Still looking for another copy to replace my busted Kevin Saunderson...

    Now thàt's a dj-set, right Gaetan?

I can make you a copy but there is an error on the last track

  5. Party Zone was really cool. I loved it when they showed clips from the X-Mix tapes. I bought #3 on VHS back in the days, but luckily !k7 records released them all on dvd some years later :)

the x mix series got me into electronic music ...

I was mainly into hiphop before ...

  6. I'm also not quite sure if I understood your point, Basilisk. Are you saying that you don't want to post reviews outside your own page because it's too much work for you to update them if you change your mind? If yes: Why update them at all? I mean you can still use sites like psynews to get view on how you looked at an certain album some months or years ago and have your updated homepage with your actual point of view. Or are you ashamed on your former perspective?

    good point

  7. so after 2 years of waiting gi'iwa finally released their 2nd cd ....

is it as good as schizm ?

well it is different it's more feel good morning music ...

    we have a few really good tracks : 1! 4 8 9 10

however some tracks are way too cheezy for my taste and even sound like full on suomi imo (although the composition of some of those tracks is actually nice) ... I was hoping for a more overal organic sound like in schizm ...

conclusion : 5 good tracks on 1 cd is way more than I'm used to => the best compilations of the year till so far ....

All we have to do now is waiting for the upcoming sienis and tamlin album ...

they have my full support ....

  8. Indeed, and that's why I want psytrance parties to be replaced by psychedelic parties. I want the focus to be on the experience rather than on the label. There's lots of fun and psychedelic music out there but it's not getting played at psytrance parties because it's not labelled as psytrance, and that's just stupid.
