  1. Maybe you missed this part:

It really isn't all that different from how the term jew was used years ago--back when it was socially acceptable to throw the term around. It was recognized as insensitive and (after clear arguments were put forward) downright immature to continue using it pejoratively. The issue here is wording that unjustly transfers negative meanings to entire categories of people. Think about it, or go on playing the Internet funny man--I've said my piece.

    Ha, they're awesome :D

    And Nemo,

  2. Caribbean? <_< OK, that's it, you are banned from Psynews for teasing us (me) too much with those awesome pics while we (I) get a *#$+ grey weather.

Oh, and thanks for the awesome pics :posford:

  3. Cheese factor for "Because" stands at a steady 9/10 (Munster level). Drop the unfitting lyrics and we get something better. I like the electro feeling. Would be glad to hear, say... a Nuclear Ramjet style remix (you got my point I hope). Though an instrumental version should be just fine.

Proton Pusher sounds trippy and OK. Sounds to me more Prometheus than Because .

  4. When I'm trying to associate Goa with Psychedelia and Trance (I still have "classic" Trance roots), I think more and more about Dimension 5 - Omega Centaurus.

It has absolutely amazing Goa melodies (unbelievable ones I must say) which sound quite psychedelic to me. And it also has this Trance side with the higher pitched melodies (think about melodies associated with "classic" Trance, and take a step backwards, closer to Goa style).

I am still not 100% sure that this track defines Goa for me, but it gets to it closer and closer.

  5. I stopped being a casual listener when I bought No Comment by Front 242 in 1993 and I thought they where talking about Minnesota.

Nowdays I think too much music is made to be casually listened to and not to touch on real feelings or expiriences.

It is a good and bad thing to get really into something. It makes you isolated in a way, but you appreciate so much more as well. Also IMO there is music and then there is art. They can be one and the same but not usually.

  6. Listening to music can be not really simple...

When I buy/get a new album or just want to listen to music and trip away (aka try and get in Trance), I am alone in my room, usually with headphones as I perceive the music better. I often close my eyes and try to stay focus and actually listen to the music and not let my mind wanders.

The problem is when I find an album great, there are two different reactions. Sometimes I just keep listening to it (20 times in 2 days). But this is not really good because after that I'll get fed up with the music for a long time. So, paradoxally, when I find an album great I try not to listen to it very much.

Another reaction (happened to me with Khetzal) is that at the first listen I'm blown away, almost getting in Trance, but when I listen to it a second time I find it not enjoyable anymore. Then starts a process of rediscovering, which is a bit annoying since I know that I liked the album......

And when I find an album bad/boring then I'm a little in red alert. Sometimes I find albums bad only because I don't have patience to listen to it/I focus on things I don't like (the album that gave the most troubles is Trandimensional, after that Violent Relaxation and TiT 3). So I need to take time and several listens to actually decide/understand that this album is not what I like or that I just need more time (can take up to 1 year!).

Usually I decide immediately if this album is great and the other listens are only to discover the music completely. Sometimes it doesn't happen... Then I need to "work" more on the music. But when I find the music instantly good, it usually means that it will stay good.

  7. but on a serious note, I would more think that its an evolution (i hope it is) of todays full on, but more psychedelic and twisted. not full of small breaks here and there... something that will set a new standard in psy/goa/full on... or something.

Do you think "Pipeworm" fits into your criteria?
  8. A big BIG BIG thank you for the link.

Everybody talked (and talks) about your album. Now I will be able to know what they are talking about :D . But I hope to get the original copy someday (after winning EuroMillions perhaps).
