Balance
So although I'm becoming a sucker for modular & previously the x0xb0x style synths I also think every studio needs a good poly & mono keyboard. I've already got the MFB Dominion 1 & Tanzbar on order and I'm looking to get a poly next year. I had had my heart set on either the Prophet 12 or Elektrkn but now Roland is launching the JX-DA which I think will be the poly of my choice http://www.roland.com/products/jd-xa/. It's got all the features I love even if it's not pure analogue, I love the design and colours of their AIRA series so love this as well. Also have been a been a huge fan of the Roland sound since forever and have owned my fair share over time (101's, 303's, 909's etc.) but sold them off over time and then they just got boring. What do ppl here think about current poly's? Cheers!
Panoptes
http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/product/prophet-6/ http://eu.elektron.se/synths/ This looks really nice. I'm also a fan of elektron stuff. Perhaps checkout their Analog Keys and Analog Four. My current poly synth is a jp8000, I think I'd get a prophet 6 if I ever end up throwing down for a new poly synth.
desysko
There's so much good stuff, it is so hard to pick one. But Waldorf Blofeld is a nice one.
Balance
Yeah Prophet 6 is tempting. This me also intrigues me https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/futuresonus/parva-polyphonic-analog-synthesizer/pledge/new?clicked_reward=false
Veracohr
I haven't paid much attention lately. I have a Poly Evolver but I don't actually use a lot of polyphonic parts; when I do it's more often just a short overlapping of the previous note's tail with the next one's start. This one looks interesting, though it will probably be super expensive: http://www.modalelectronics.com/modal-008/
Balance
the Prohet 6 is super temptimg but a mate of mine who got the Pro 2 & Prophet 12 from D.S.I. has found enough little bugs in them to make the price seem a bit ridiculous, especially with D.S.I.'s reputation for not updating often. At least with Roland i expect they'll be quick to fix issues. 008 looks promising but my problem is that unless they distribute it here the cost of shipping will make it completely unreasonable. Goa Travellers
Polysynths...There are so many out there...And good ones. What about VSTIs? Some of them are really good. I'm thinking about the Waldorf Largo and the Sylenth1 or Omnisphere which all have nice pads. Granted the Blofeld is immense
