Think of all the movie stars, porn stars, etc, that have put out albums... Where I live there are booths you can go to 'produce' your own music - its an industry - that is, to sell people the ability to make music. Though I basically agree with with your statement, I wouldn't put David Lynch in that category. In my opinion he is a true multi-artist... and not an opportunist as you describe. and correction, this is not a debute album http://www.discogs.c...ist/David+Lynch David Lynch have made music for quite a while, what I have heard was mostly dark ambient though (he also released one (solo) album), quite nice.
