SBK - Treibstoff

There are some very good tracks on this LP. My personal favourite is No.1

Hochstapler, a dark pumping piece of Tech-Trance with really cool

percussion.My second favourite is No.8 Zeitsprung and No's 5,6 and 3 are

cool, too. The weakest Track probably is No.4 Aufreisser, i don't know why this

track deserves a full side on the LP version. It actually borrows the melody

from some Oakenfold style cheese trance track .;-(

Another Track that i like is No.9 Mitleid Express. Definitely not psy-trance,

but i think this is what cool club trance could sound like. I especially like

the baby voices that are whining in German " Komm zurueck", which means " Come

back". It's like a scared baby crying for his mom, very trippy. This LP has

its ups and downs, but i think this is what cool "non-goa" trance could sound

like.7/10 on the whole, but Hochstapler is a bomb and deserves 9/10.

Haven't heard the full album yet. But I have heard "Druckverteiler" and solely

that track makes it worth all the money. I am sure the rest kicks ass too. I

am buying it...

Review:

It starts off well but, becomes progressively more clubby. Not bad just

not what I was expecting. Its a bit mellow too, especially later on. Not for

the dance floor but, good as background/chill out music. It has more of an

electronica than goa/psytrance feel to it but, still enjoyable. 6/10.

Heard this at a friends house. Nothing to go crazy about! Sounds like all the

other typical german stuff, appears to be quite anonymous. Nice production and

all, but no sensations, no "extravaganza"! Plurries...

SBK is pretty good IMO. As a member of Tarsis, Digital Sun & Disco SLickers,

this guy knows his stuff and he proves it on this cd. Great progressive

flavour with kicking beats and a good groove. Some tracks are even pretty

melodic. The rest is pounding, fat progressive trance. Great work here by

sebastian Kruger. 8/10 from me here and a reccommended buy... :-)

alright, you want a good reason for buying this album?? liste to Morgenlatte

from about 2:50. It takes off in a darkish bloodcurling melody. :-))

Review revision: The last three tracks are actually quite good. They have some

chilled quality, and takes off in a more ambient direction! The rest are still

not that great. But overall a nice, crystal clear production! Plurries...

This album is typical hamburg sound similar to Magnetrixx, Lando, Llois,

Necton, Disco Slikers,Funf D, Haldolium etc... many ppl would like this but i

dont see anything new or unique in this album. Stand out tracks #3 and 5

5/10 !

Not bad, not great. Feels like I've "heared" all this stuff before though, so

it loses points for originality. Not very full on, as it's more just

progressive trance than anything else, but with less harmony, more

sound/noise/industrial samples. 6.5/10

My opinion Pretty boring like most progi stuff coming out at the moment. I

liked morgenlatte at first untill they played it at nearly every damn

party(germany and switzerland) this year over and over again!
